Nice place. Tatsy dosas. Happy from the service as the manager/owner checked on his own from time to time
Me and my family been there few times...great experience, food reminds traditional Indian flavours.always happy to be there.
This has been my go to restaurant when I crave for indian but not so indian food 🤭 You would understand what I mean once you visit this restaurant. Every dish has a wow factor in here, be it the way it tastes or the way it is presented. Of my numerous visits, there hasn't been even a single moment of disappointment. The dosas here are a absolute favourite, but the Punjabi thalli has my heart. My husband is a huge of the sizzlers & noodles they serve. A must visit if you plan to drive down to Dandenong :)
Food was tasty and service was good and quick
Old taste and good service add on is back under new management, keep the consistency same always .All the very best 😊
Under new management very different, excellent food quality, friendly and authentic people. I will highly recommend to come along with family.
Have been here numerous times and always go with an expectation of zero service and good Indian street style food. Never been disappointed with the food because we just go their for the food not service or ambience! We do tend to overeat here though 😜
Great vegetarian Indian food. Have been here many times. My wife being a vegetarian, this was the only place in Melbourne which satisfied her craving for good Indian vegetarian food. Now this has become our go to place for vegetarian food.
There is no customer service here its mark it on a sheet. Dont expect much service or even a smile. Great vareity of food options. Food was good and full of flavour everything tasted good but not the best place!
Good tasty dosas and very extensive menu. Chaats are a bad, And service pathetic. The wait staff place your food at the edge of the table and walk off. Dosas are the only thing worth coming here for.
We went for a family dinner and found it to be one of the better South Indian places in Melbourne. The Dosas are delicious and there's a quirky mix...you can try a Mexican or Chinese inspired Dosa if you so wish. Food was reasonable prized too, we managed to fit 4 people's meals under $60. Service was what you would expect for a no frills restaurant. The decor and ambience were also low budget. However, will be back for the food...
Great taste.. :-)
Tried Garlic Naan, Tandoori Roti, Veg Jalfrezi and Pizza are all in great taste. They deserve a full best rating of 5 in food taste.
Ambience I would rate 4.
Cleanliness and presentation too are 5
They need to improve on menu cards. They are in poor condition and need to be reprinted.
This place is known for wide variety of Dosas and yet one more addition Rava Dosa range !! Best I have had in Melbourne so far, crisp and thin just perfect !!
The only place where Vadas are fresh and worth the price:-) if you are a South Indian cuisine fan like me, don't miss this one. To top it of their chutneys and sambhar are yummm !!
Indo Chinese food is very good.
Service is pretty average.
A lot of variety with Dosa selection.
Pav Bhaji is a must try . So yummy.
Every time I go here I have to order 2 of each item for myself as the serving size is so small
Some of the items are pricey for the serving size
The dosa is here is as good as it gets. I quite enjoyed the pav bhaji. It's unfortunate the service is lacking. We had to go grab water and menus ourselves after asking for them multiple times. The ambience is sort of like a fast food restaurant, the place is loud and buzzing. If you're a fan of dosa I suggest you definitely try this place.
The food was good. I would not say excellent nor would I say it tasted bad. The first time stepping into am Indian restaurant in Melbourne and I was quite apprehensive after reading the other reviews. But the food was actually good. Service was a little slow it being a Sunday afternoon.
We had ordered plenty since we were 2 families. The idli munchurian and paneer tikka really good starters. Loved the idlis, dosas, vada and their sambar. The coconut chutney was really tasty.
The naans were so soft but quite huge, so it was very filling. The malai kofta was one of the good ones I've had so far. Very very creamy and rich.
Mangoes being in season, the fresh mango lassis were drowned down really fast. Hot gulab jamuns for the kids too.
Very competetive price for all the portions received. Was happy with the whole meal.
My friend recommended the dahi batata puri entree that she had here. I came to try it. Wow, unlike anything ive ever eaten before! A crispy ball filled with yoghurt and dried noodle type stuff! I enjoyed it! I had fun eating here! Id like to come back one day and try more from their extensive menu!
Excellent service and food. One of the best food places in town. Been there a few times. Had one issue with a dish being wrong order, but they rectified it without any fuss. I see a lot of complaints here. But every time I am there the place is full. But got to say for the amount of people there dining, the service time is not bad at all. Tried the new vege chicken kebab today and was very good.
Decent!. My wife and I went here yesterday evening and we ordered for Panner-Bhature and Pav Bhaji. The Pav Bhaji was very average but I must confess that the Paneer-Bhature were some of the best I've had in a long-long time. Given that they have a HUGE variety of vegetarian food (We're both vegetarians) I wouldn't mind checking it out again in the near future.
Four visits, only slightly disappointed on one ocassion (don't even remember why anymore to be honest) but loved otherwise. Variety is amazing and service is pretty fast to be fair. I sometimes think how hard it is preparing so many different dishes and theyre always very busy. Overally I like this place and hope to try every item on the menu. They should also put nimbu pani on the menu.
Love this place hope they keep up the great job....guys don't listen to the complainers....the best place for near South Indian and Indo Chinese cuisine!!!
Excellent food - lots of variety - great ambience - good customer service. Would recommend this restaurant to all. The food is excellent and with lots of variety. Great ambience and good customer service. Enjoyed the time out with family.
Best service & yummy meals. The staffs &
Chef were extremely friendly 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟Chef Neelam & Chef Arvind took the extra effort in preparing meals accordingly to my family request. We were fussy with spice tolerance & yet the staff, Koshala was extremely patience when taking note of the food adjustment ❤️❤️❤️
Both Koshala & Bhawana served my mum with wide smiles & tireless rounds of top-ups of drinks & meals
What a great service & wonderful experience
Highly recommend the Szchewan noodles Dosa. A yummy twist to satisfying both Indian & Chinese meals.
I just ate the most delicious Papdi Chaat I’ve ever eaten. And the carrot Halwa was just exceptional. The waiter told me to call him if I had any questions and when I asked him what I should have he offered me a combination with idli and dosa that wasn’t even on the menu. It was very good advice because it was amazingly tasty. Five stars. Would recommend.
Omg this was the best Dhai Batata Puri in Melbourne. It was totally worth the drive. It tasted so authentic like I was in Mumbai
All the food was great. Service was fantastic
awesome place to satisfy your craving for a midweek dosa/idly! friendly staff, ample seating, cost wise $$ but worth it!
Good food! Really liked the Hara Bhara kabab, well made and crispy from outside..
The seating inside the restaurant is not comfortable.. its too low making the table too high and difficult to rest your hands on the table, taking away one star for it..
@dosaplazadandenong
Neelam, you got 10 out of 10 for sizzler and pasta. Mouth watering, delicious, perfect and fantastic food. Karan and Arvind you got amazing cooking skills. Thanks Shivani for your great customer service. Thanks @dosaplazadandenong .
