Review Vic & Vino - Darwin

Showed up to a completely empty restaurant and had to convince the hostess to let us have a table (apparently they were fully booked). I was served a white wine when I asked for red and when it was fixed the red was ice cold. The food was pretty good though and had nice presentation. By the time we left only 2 other tables were full.

Hidden gem in a little quite bit of CBD. Attentive staff, absolutely delicious cut of meat, had 350g rib eye which was to die for. Recommended to get entree for the hungry. Great price considering other places charging same and being inedible. Great cocktail selection, very intimate little dining room with outside seating. Exactly how you run a restaurant! Cheers

Used to be pearl bar. A very cute little bar hidden just off smith st mall. Really nice cocktails and spirit selection and the tapas..... yum! Maybe sure you get the deep fried mushrooms with truffle aioli!! All the food was great. Nice small bar vibe and good atmosphere.

Located just off the Mall, great little spot with awesome Tapas. Food is always first rate. Good price and great drink selection. You’ve got to try the muddled mission on the cocktail menu.

A new favourite! Pearl is a gorgeous spot for both a bite and/or a drink, boasting incredible dishes, delicious cocktails, great service and a beautifully fit out restaurant, this place easily won our hearts. The Angus Eye fillet is a quality, sumptuous steak, complimented perfectly by the delicate blue cheese sauce, so yum - one of the best steaks out there. The Crocodile Popcorn (the lime gel is wow), Duck Liver & Cointreu Brulee are both super delightful. We cannot wait to come back and try more

Hard to find a venue like this in Darwin: an intimate venue; great food prepared with love and attention; wait staff who are passionate, knowledgeable and good-humoured; and very reasonable prices for a six-course degustation. We've been twice and really enjoyed the experience on both occasions. Will definitely return.

After seeing this place highly reviewed online we decided to try but, unfortunately, I cannot recommend it. 1. The Restaurant Manager used the F word in front of me. Moreover, he touched me on several occasions. I don't know if he's the owner but I run restaurants and if that happened, he would be automatically fired. No excuses to use bad language to referring to people (some passing by and the kitchen). 2. The food was just ok but not great given the price. The wine selection is good though. 3. Our fish (trout) was extremely uncooked and we sent it back 3 times. The first time, we asked the waitress if it is meant to be like that and we put a shocked face and said no and took it to the kitchen. Then we got it back and it was basically done the same. I understand that when fish has been categorised to be used as sashimi, it can be a bit "pink" inside but this was extremely raw and we were concerned if we could get sick. This went back and forth 3 times. 4. The mussels we had were uncleaned and some shells were cracked which raised our concerned whether they were ok to eat. 5. Another smalls bits on service that would not have been a major concern added to it, like the waiter putting her arm in front of my friend while he was eating in order to grab his empty glass of wine or trying to charge us a surcharge when paying when debit card when in the menu it stated that debit cards didn't entail a surcharge. After these incidents, the Restaurant Manager didn't even offer us to take the fish off the bill or to offer desserts on the house, given that they had agreed the fished was not cooked properly (twice). We left the restaurant pretty upset and even more given we paid 80AUD a head for this meal. Definitely, I cannot recommend it.

Small stylish joint in downtown Darwin Went there on a Friday evening with 2 friends. Got a 6 pm booking and told needed to be finished by 8 pm (but luckily 8 pm customer didnt turn up so we stayed on) The restaurant opens out to the side of the mall and so doesn't have a front wall - which made it a bit warm (for us Southerners anyway!). Staff are quite friendly and - like most restaurants in Darwin - hail form all corners of the globe. We started with a delicious espresso martini .. which led to another.... Opted for the 7 course degustation menu without the accompanying wines (we selected from the range on the wine list instead). Food serves were small but good. A nice vibe in the place
