I've been going to this restaurant since 2012 and they are consistent with the quality of their food. Sometimes hoteliers like myself is hard to please but my experience with this restuarant is always fantastic. For me this is #1 Japanese restaurant in Darwin. Service is equally amazing job well done.

Great food, quick service and nice atmosphere. Food was a little pricey but it's got a huge range if you're looking for more than sushi.

By far the best sushi in Darwin since the old place burnt down. Gyoza was spot on and cooked brilliantly with fast and friendly service. Seat was right next to the door but was a quiet Sunday so I was not phased, I will visit again

Great Japanese Food in Darwin. I had the gyoza, cheese wontons and chicken teryaki bento box - it was all delicious! The service was great and very fast - would definitely recommend!

Yum. Really good authentic and delicious Japanese food. This and also the Rapic Creek Japanese cafe are the best in Darwin. Udon and Ramen are great and a nice casual atmosphere.

Best Japanese in Darwin. After visiting Japan, I was opened to a world of Japanese food that was not sushi. Oishi Ya is a neat little place to have all things not sushi.

The service is always prompt, with food and drinks coming out quite quickly. For lunch, my partner and I can be in and out of there and 30 minutes.

If you are 'testing the waters' I would recommend a bento box which offers a nice variety of food. My 'usual' would be the kinoko udon served hot (that's udon mushroom soup).

If you have at least three people, I highly recommend the Japanese hot pot (think Japanese version of steam boat) where you get given a range of vegetables and meat to cook yourself in broth.

And yes, these guys do take away.

Great japanese food in Darwin. Best sashimi! Man size portions of sashimi, and usually this place is packed at dinner time. Awesome katsu curry. Great value bento boxes. Fresh, clean, fast fresh food.
