Horizen Cafe - Darwin - Photo album

Great view, disappointing breakfast. Great friendly staff, nice confortable clean venue. Targets mid-budget travellers with reasonably priced breakfast. The Eggs Benedict well priced but basic, could do with a little more garnish or extra different sauce. Spinach mushroom muffin served hospital styl
Based on the photos on Google, I assume this was a buffet joined with the hotel prior to covid. It is now a café. Unfortunately, the food provided at this "café" is quite clearly pre-made and then reheated upon order. The luke-warm pancakes with bacon are served on a small plate with bacon on the
The Cafe has set menus, priced at $18. They seem unable to change from what is advertised, asked for the Zen Big Breakfast with scrambled eggs told I can't do this as comes with poached eggs but if I want scrambled eggs with bacon and sausage (which comes with the Zen big breakfast) I have to order
Excellent staff and service !!! Happy friendly greeting from Lily every morning was a great start to our day, her infectious positive attitude made us feel like vip's !!! Great food with plenty of options. The young female chef cooked our eggs to order every day , and they were PERFECT ! Obviously s
The cafe on level 3 at the Zen Quarter has got the friendliest staff headed by Lilly who greets you every morning with a huge smile and great service. The meals are very cheap and they also do great dinners served on the rooftop that has 360° views of Darwin. Highly recommended.
It's a buffet breakfast, with eggs done in those steamer dishes that look like flying saucers. .instead of poached eggs.Cook yr own toast. ..Not a cafe breakfast. And they weren't expecting non hotel guests. ..Wanted us to pay cash before we ate-we had to come in from our outdoorsears to pay. . N
Can’t beat the view of the sunrise. In May 2020 the chef was good and food was slightly better they seem to have gotten rid of him and in July 2020 food was a only average. Still worth 4 stars for the view and friendly staff.
The hours here are wrong! It basically only open for breakfast. The Sunday I was there it had closed around 10 AM so don’t expect to get coffee there late in the afternoon! It’s a café on the third floor of a hotel. You have to go down the hotel corridors to get there.
