Wow, what amazing pasta and panna cotta, we had the mushroom dish and the squid ink pasta dish and it's by far the best meal we have had since arriving in Darwin 6 months ago will have to make this my weekly treat beautiful food and wonderful setting

Amazing. There's no other words to describe it! Everything I was hoping it to be plus so much more. For $85 for two people we had pizza, mains and desserts.. And I literally had to roll myself out of the carpark! The food is worth every cent and I will be making this a regular ^_^ ps the best gnocchi I've had in at least 10 years..

We’re glad we braved the rain! Delicious pizza and the best panna cotta; tasted even better eaten in the back of our van watching the storm happening around us. Thank you for staying open throughout the Wet!

Great little spot on the foreshore, just off the water's edge. The communal tables with the red chequered tablecloths and fairy lights are really relaxed and "Darwin". The pizzas are thin and super tasty, though on the expensive side ($15-18 for a one person pizza). People come more for the atmosphere than anything else!

Darwin needs more places like this. I've dined a few times at Cucina Sotto Le Stelle and have never been let down by the food. The menu changes from week to week depending on produce, but if you "like" them on Facebook you can see the weekly menu. The set up consists of long communal tables and there is also a communal Esky with ice in it so you can put your drinks in it. There is also water and plastic cups available. Being on the foreshore, people often bring their own picnic rugs and camping chairs.
The menu consists of wood fired pizzas (it's the same guy who does the markets) and fresh pasta. There are vegetarian options available for both. There is occasionally a dessert on the menu (usually a tiramisu or a panacotta). The panacotta is made with vanilla bean and is to die for - so smooth and creamy.
Payment can be cash or card and nothing is over the $18-$20 mark. The only downfall is that depending on what day/time there can be a bit of a wait for the food. It is worth it though.

Simple food, gorgeous outdoor ambience. Quality ingredients prepared well. The pizza is consistently fresh and delicious, and dessert (usually a variety of flavoured panna cotta) is a winner too. Come early to get a table, or byo picnic blanket and chairs.
