This cafe is one of Darwin's little gems, a simple style cafe with a great range of authentic Japanese food at very reasonable prices. Available for dine-in or take-away with friendly staff and owner/operator. B.Y.O. ok for wine/beer, good range of cold drinks available.

Rapid Cafe and Overtone Cafe operate together. Dish preparations are shared between both kitchens. Udon pork/egg in light soya base soup (not Udon or Ramen - just noodles); add spices and salt as preferred. Little flavour, but blend. Simple friendly clean place. Service is efficient, BYO beer (discrete). Take away possible. Bus No. 4 or 10.

Went there couple time for trying their foods and coffee. Unfortunately, the open time on Google maps and the actual opening hours are different. Keep Disappointing people and breaking the plan, waste your fuel to get there. Always closed.

The orders are made fresh and has a good authentic taste.
Reasonable prices. Its not overpriced like a few other places.
