Review Beachfront Hotel - Darwin

Michael Healy
Lovely location on the seafront just by rapid creek, Darwin. Food was satisfactory, if a bit cool by the time it got to us. Music a bit loud for conversation but that's just my age! Air con nice after beach. Photo is looking up rapid creek from seafront.

Me and a friend popped in for a beer after work. Knocked over a glass on a ledge, didn’t look like it was on the floor pretty well grouped. Got kicked out because we didn’t go tell someone! Anyone else heard of this rule? Totally sober. Security were nice was almost like they knew we shouldn’t have been removed from the venue. My brother also paid $45 for a steak totally over cooked with the wrong sauce.

Service at the bar was good , pub is nice. Food was terrible. My chicken schnitzel was cooked in the deep fryer that must have been too hot. The schnitzel was shrivelled up into a ball and was burnt on the outside of the shrivelled ball.

A welcome stop on a Nightcliff foreshore walk. Cool and comfortable, with a view to the park, good range of lunch options, and efficient friendly service.

Gave joint a 2nd chance: Failed. Food took about 40min. Wagyu 500g was probably 300g before cooking. Was well done instead of ordered medium rare and 45 bucks wasted. Apart from you are better off drinking a beer as it's 1 dollar cheaper than a bottled soft drink. Very disappointed Locals and will never come back.

Overpriced and overcooked. Ordered “garlic” prawns for $34. Came out with six (6!) overdone prawns with no garlic sauce. Not even inflation can justify paying almost $6 for a mediocre prawn. Also paid $22 for a veggie burger which was more avocado and beans than burger, setting vegetarian meals back about 15 years. Meals very disappointing considering that the Beachie was good for a meal, once upon a time. You’d be best off going to the nearby venues of the Sporty or Cas Club. At least the food is consistent and they aren’t pretending to be something that they are not.
