Review Zzan - Darwin

bought korean fried chicken tonight but the sauce on it wasnt like before. before 2 years ago the chicken look like soaked marinated in the sauce, now it just like yeah whatever here some sauce here and there. Disappointing Zzan

The Asian stuff is kindly 🙂 But.. I don’t think this is Korean BBQ. ($49 per person and minimum two people) What we could eat is only spicy chicken 🐔 If you come here for enjoying BBQ outside,, maybe good hah The taste .. I want to put one star..

Really good atmosphere. Loved the food but next time we will give the chilli chicken dish a miss was far to hot for us.

Good venue by the marina, nice place to sit and watch the weather roll in. Delicious meals for those who choose well - I lucked it in with the vegie bowl with optional spicy pork. It came with rice and a fried egg, a complete meal for me. Others had to order extra rice or vegies if desired..at extra cost. Beers are available, in bottles plus a few on tap, as well as mixed drinks. Not sure about wines and ciders. Regular customers would come here for good food, relaxed atmosphere and the waterfront dining experience..not 'fine-dining'. Plenty of parking available nearby, but it's in a popular area at popular times. It fronts the marina, not the street, but easy to find if you look.

It was a new experience to try the Korean menu and we were not disappointed with the food. The idea of a bbq at the table is novel and certainly cooked to our liking the slivers of marinated beef, chicken, pork belly and a good variety of vegetables. The little gas bbq played up at first but once fixed, did the job nicely. The service was a little slow but it was a busy Saturday night. Although the bbq items were brought to the table promptly, a second dish we ordered afterwards did take a long time to come. There is no dessert menu but there is a delightful icecream place just around the corner where we purchased cups of icream beads. They were a delicious end to a very tasty night!

Food was enjoyable, but very overpriced for what you get. Wagyu didn't taste or appear as wagyu either. Would have expected rice to be inclusive being a Korean/Japanese fusion restaurant & when paying $50 per person for a very small "banquet". $3 per serving is very steep for steamed rice. Still a relatively new restaurant so there's bound to be some teething problems. Might visit again down the track but there would certainly need to be some improvements first. Hope you guys can work on these issues and improve. Service was very friendly, cannot fault the girls who were working hard to wait on a full outdoor area. I also think it'd be wise to create a drinks menu. Usually the first thing a lot of people like to peruse and decide.

lovely staff but I had the fried chicken at the Chinese New Year held at Marrara and the chicken coating was so hard it was like chewing a rock my teeth hurt and it just wouldn't break down I had to peel off the skin and throw it away and only eat the meat which sucks because the skin is always meant to be the best part

Loved everything about this place. Great vibe, great location and the food was delicious and came in huge portions. Will definitely be back to try the buffet on a Wednesday.

Zzan is a great new spot, me and my friends had a great night and enjoyed the Korean style BBQ, gotta give 5stars for our meal both with quality and quantity. Especially wagu beef was the bomb! I normally would skip beef dishes but couldn't resist to try on those marble layers� Also fried chicken was one of my favourite dish. Definitely worth to try for your visit! Be aware, main meal comes in a good portion, sharing is the best way to experience and enjoy all their lovely foods� Also Great service, keep it up�

Dinner with 2 of my beauties Dee Tetelepta & Gizelle Padiz Laurente in a beautiful location surrounded by great atmosphere and then the food. Omg the food!!! I'm not easily impressed when it comes to services and standards in hospitality as I have worked both FOH & BOH as well as being a guest at many establishments. But ZZAN is beyond impressive. From the friendly staff who took care of us to the AMAZING mouthwatering and tantalising array of food that seem to keep of coming to our table, the aromas of the deliciously succulent meats and veggies grilling softly away on the grill right at our table. I have never been more excited to be at a restaurant in my life. I was blown away by the beautiful simplicity of the decor, the gorgeous helpful and wonderful staff and the owner Bruce was outstandingly amazing and welcoming. The whole experience was a mind blowing smorgasbord of Awesome. Thankyou to my ladies as always I love you and your company and a huge Thankyou to Bruce and his team at ZZAN for the amazing night. 5 stars and more!!! I highly recommend anyone and everyone to come try their extensive and authentic array of menu options and the BBQ Banquet ($46 per person - minimal 2) is more than enough to feed 4!!!!! One of the most enjoyable food adventures ever!!!!!

Absolutely beautiful food, friendly and helpful staff and great prices. Best Korean restaurant in Darwin, I highly recommend this place. 5 stars for sure.

The BBQ menu was a great experience and delicious! It was the perfect amount of food and very filling. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Didn't expect any entrees and the fried chicken was delicious. Will definitely come back!

We dined with a group of 10 people, the korean BBQ banquet was amazing, there was sooo much food. The korean pancake and chicken wings were also delicious. Great food and great service. We'll definitely be returning.

My new favourite restaurant! Went tonight for dinner and the food was AMAZING to say the least. Great menu, excellent food, fantastic service and the staff were very polite and friendly. Can't wait to go back and try everything else on the menu. Will definitely be recommending this restaurant to everyone I know! Yum!!!

Absolutely amazing food definitely can't go past the great location such an amazing view with great friendly staff one of my new favourite spots to eat!!
