Tasty old school Chinese restaurant. Mongolian Beef with rice ($16) was great value. Good kick of chilli oil in the dish which was a surprise but really delicious. It was the owner's birthday and she went around giving all diners a slice of her birthday cake - how lovely!!

Hard to find affordable vegan options in Darwin. Eventually stumbled across Zhen's, who had some good tofu vegetarian options that the server kindly confirmed are vegan. We split the mixed veg w/ bean curd, and 6 veggie spring rolls, between two people for a total cost of $22.50. Good serving size. Recommend for a good quality stock standard Chinese vegan option, 4 stars for being a bit expensive (but seems the norm in Darwin)

#zen'skitchen Budget visitors and foodies. This asian restaurants has been in Darwin for 5 years. The Tom Yum Vegetables is sweet with real lemon grass flavors. The mixed vegetable & tofu noodles needles a little sauce. The service is efficient and friendly. Walking distance from the CBD. A must try -

I ordered chicken and sweetcorn soup and lemon chicken with rice takeaway. The soup was decent (a little salty) but the lemon chicken was disappointing. The batter on the chicken pieces was soggy. Not sure if they were freshly cooked or if reheated with sauce already on them. Maybe having the sauce in separate container would help.
