Review Golden Star Kitchen - Darwin

Ordered take away today was disappointed 1. $20 or more advertised free delivery... no driver so couldn't deliver... false advertising 2. On line menu said $20 for sweet & sour barramundi but was charged $22 as was told price had gone up and website not updated... false advertising 3. Said food would take 45mins but took an hour....unsatisfactory 4. Ordered 2 dishes but one container was smaller than the other... wondering why. Also mentioned not too much cauliflower or broccoli but the mixed veg was full of cauliflower 😞😓 as in photo. The sweet sour barramundi had only a limited amount of vegetables as well 😞😓 Don't think we will be going back there and will not recommend either.

It was an unpleasant dine in experience tonight for my friend and me. 1.We came at 6 pm as the second dine in table there but took almost one hour to have all the dishes. 2.Tried three dishes as picture shown.Mix veggies with bean curd is highly recommended.But we tasted dry Hofan a bit burnt and bland.Took the dish back to the waitress and waiting further replies. She just straight to get the phone call after walking out of the kitchen. 3.A couple of minutes later, another waitress had an argument with us in a not calm and not chill out way saying that dry Hofan is supposed to taste like that wok hei brings the burnt and can give us some soy sauce to balance the light flavour.However wok hei does mean bring out more flavour from the food by using enough heat but not means burn the food？？Why don't put more oil？She reckons not their problem and pointed out it was our problem.Rejected the offer that can swap another dish after the incident.(Wondering won't throw that bad attitude on our face if we were not Chinese.)

Just average level, order three different dishes and the taste are similar, it’s like spend triple times of money and enjoy one dishes.

Very good local Chinese restaurant. It is located in the casuarina region in the suburb of jingili. Take the bus from casuarina to airport and stop at Puma petrol station. A little walking distance. Family run business, manager is very friendly and witty, staff are nice, food is delicious. Popular takeaway food. Nice simple humble setting with tasty dishes. BYO licensed. Good for a date night.

Amazing experience to have my birthday party at Ming Court. Authentic Chinese food with affordable price and friendly staffs. Highly recommend salt and pepper squid, special fried rice and sweet sour pork. Definitely come back again.

Ming Court has amazing authentic Chinese food, full of flavour and the team are so nice and friendly! Since my first time earlier this year, I’ve been coming back at least once a month. Being vegetarian they have the best Spicy Salted Been Curd/Tofu in town. Being a regular, they always treat you with such gratitude and respect. Will always go back and support them.

Very good food and best san choy bow you can buy. Friendly staff. Very busy always calls back.

I travel from Gold Coast to Darwin regularly for work. And this is always on my list for dinner 2-3 times whilst I'm in town. Premises may not be flash but the food makes up for it. And the reception lady is always has a charming smile and happy attitude. You would do wrong to go elsewhere.
