Review Darwin Railway Club - Darwin

David Singh
Nice casual pub with great live music. Food and drinks very well priced. Friendly atmosphere with a garden outside if you are not into live music. Limited choice of food but great to see traditional fish and chips served in butcher paper

On Friday 22 July I was out for an evening walk and I was disappointed when stopping in at the Railway club to enquire about a Robbie William's/Ed Sheeran tribute event I was interested in. I approached an empty bar around 11:05 pm weighting 30+ seconds for staff to finish having a chuckle a man in his late 50s early sixties and a woman late 20s early 30s I think of foreign nationality due to her accent. when I enquired about the event they said they didn't know anything about it they did not make an effort to find out and said sorry and dismissed me and continued talking when I was about to order a drink, so i left. Again the lack of service was disappointing though also unacceptable. I will return to my previous rating of 4 stars or higher if they employ staff who care.

Great jazz and wonderful vibe. Amazing sound of this 16-piece band to listen and/or dance to. Was so good that we went two Wednesdays in a row before lock down! Would love to have heard a vocalist sing with such a fabulous and professional band. A definite highlight of the entertainment scene in Darwin not to be missed. Busy dance floor but managed to squeeze in a couple of Ballroom quicksteps and jives amongst the mostly swing dancers! Friendly and welcoming people. Excellent wood fired vegetarian pizza too. Real privilege for us travelers to have such quality music to enjoy and cherish in a fun and relaxed environment. Thank you Darwin Railway Club.

One of the best venues around Darwin to enjoy a nice, cold beer. With a fantastic beer garden- often with dogs and chickens roaming freely, pool tables and a very comfortable dining/drinking area. They host live music most nights, and art classes quite regularly. Definitely worth a visit.
