Review Mezzanotte - Dee Why

Good food, good service, pricey wine and cheap wine glasses. We went there when it was becoming very busy, but the service was still very quick and friendly. The Pizza was great, certainly better than most of the other places in the area. The wine list is very comprehensive, but pricey for what it is. The wine glasses are the cheap small kind, which don't really give the best flavor out of the wine. Still well recommended if you want Italian in Dee Why.

Good quality food, and service to table great but rushed (didn't have time to digest entree before main came rushing out, then dessert arrived soon after main finished). Tables too small to accommodate size of pizza plates -there was no room for glasses, etc. Wine overpriced (not able to BYO) but they do not charge "cakeage" which was great for my son's birthday!

Enjoyed delicious Levanto (tiger prawns, Spanish onions, capsicum, mushrooms, basil, garlic, oregano) and gluten free Lake Como (pieces of chicken marinated in a spicy peanut ginger and sesame sauce with Spanish onion) pizzas with a rocket and fresh rocket leaves topped with shaved parmesan cheese and fresh tomato, dressed with olive oil and balsamic dressing. Good gluten free pizzas are hard to come by and Mezzanotte does a delicious job. The service is also spectacular, thoughtful and attentive. The gentleman taking care of us was mindful of not interrupting our spirited conversation whilst still taking care of our needs.

Wonderful food, sensational staff. Fabulous decor, excellent location right on Dee Why Beach. Seating inside and outdoor also. Fantastic choices, top service. Great prices. Enjoy.

Very impressed with the staff and service Very tasty pizzas which arrived in no time which made dinning a very pleasant experience with our young children. Highly recommend this venue 👍👍

Good food, a bit pricey & always noisy due to large groups though they try to sit you away from the noise! Good for families but not the place for a romantic dinner.

Good traditional Italian food. Great pizzas, the "Australian" is a personal favorite

A family favourite, great staff, food and view. I would recommend the pizzas.

First of all I want to say the owner was lovely and tried his best to help where possible unfortunately the staff on the night we came were less then attentive. It took about 5 minutes for us to be acknowledged in order to get a seat and a bout 20 minutes for someone to serve us.. Then when we were served another 20 minutes for a staff member to literally circle the floor again and again with our garlic bread. Over all the experience wasn't great. I expected sensational Italian cuisine, unfortunately it wasn't quite as good as I'd hoped. I ordered pizza which I thought was a safe bet but it took ages and it didn't taste amazingly fresh. The service was the biggest let down. Constant waiting and being ignored by staff.. The only one who noticed we were waiting on the one of the occasions was the owner, the staff just wondered around aimlessly. Probably won't go back there for quite some time. Shame!

Lovely location and good service but mains dishes were a bit cheesy/creamy for our likings. Nice to be out of the sun and have nice music playing

Great food and wonderful staff. Calamari is super fresh, and nicely cooked. The antipasto platter is plentiful with a variety of 5 different cold cuts, 2 cheeses and assorted marinated veggies. Will definitely be coming back.

Disappointing meals. I have no complaints about the service, which was friendly and pleasant and restaurant itself had a lovely atmosphere, the meals were not good. There was a group of us and not one person finished their meal. Three of our group ordered a fillet of beef served with a jus, when it came out, the beef was covered in a thick grainy gravy, the veal was covered in a sickly sweet thick sauce which, again was unpleasant, the pasta was very average, hardly authentic italian cuisine.

Amazing service, always so friendly. Many of my friends and family's do large parties here and the staff are always so accommodating, even if we stay well past what I'm sure is our welcome. Always make to order for the fussy and allergic alike. Great food, especially the pasta. I regret I never can finish it. Always happy to go back.

Never again!! Food was so bad that meals were returned and the service was way to slow, over 20 mins wait for a drink!! What a joke. Will not be returning!!

Great food and great value. The food here is really nice. We dined in a group and enjoyed it all. The pasta was tasty, the pizza was nice and the steaks were well prepared and a decent size. The desserts were enormous - huge servings. Well worth a visit.

Average. I try to like this restaurant. The wait staff are friendly, the place is always full, but the food never lives up to my expectations, I find the pizza dry and not so fresh.
