The only thing that let it down was grumpy staff. Not sure what happened but two of the main staff serving seem to be having a bad day. I asked one if he was having a good day and he took some time to answer...

Second day of moving to Dee Why this place had amazing oysters however a little expensive for a dozen but still tasty.... great pork belly...lunch specials so much to choose from...definitely worth a try....
For breakfast I had an open DIY omelette (you choose the fillings), which interestingly came with a hash brown - which was quickly stolen by one of my boys. Mr Munch had the jumbo breakfast which was huge and full of your big breakfast favourites. Nothing on the breakfast menu costs more than about $19.00 and considering the large portion sizes I think this to be quite good value. Coffee was decent but not brilliant, I've had better brews from some of the other cafes along The Strand.
Hands down best chicken burger I've ever had .. EVER. And this is coming from an absolute burger lover !
Chicken burger comes with melted cheese,crispy bacon, lettuce , tomato and a side of chips .. Very reasonable price and lots to choose from on the menu. Never leave the place hungry or unsatisfied!

We have been coming here for 4 years! Good, reliable service. A bit disappointed the menu has not been updated in that time but the food is still great. Wine list is a bit limited and could do with change. But we still recommend this place!
Breakfast!!!!. Always a great place for us to get breakfast! If anything, the range is a bit limited...but other than that, we keep coming back for the big breakfasts!

Not a problem.. I visited this cafe on a recent trip to Sydney and I have never felt right at home or looked after in a place so quickly.
I have severe allergies and you have to weigh up carefully the likelihood of being able to get a meal that firstly you can eat and secondly, without fear that it might get mixed up or contaminated with other things.
The staff here were so warm, friendly and accomodating. In no time at all they had worked out a plain, delicious meal, double-checked things, and even suggested rice as an alternative to potatoes just in case they might get contaminated. The presentation for this meal was absolutely wonderful and my friend and I enjoyed the wait staffs company as much as our own!
The attendant was even kind enough to tell me about the rice porridge she had constructed for her son who has similar anaphylaxis. A porridge I can't wait to try next time!
Some restaurants just have the expertise, talent and care to make you feel as though nothing is too hard or impossible, even ones as busy and popular as On Shore.
Came as a tourist, felt like a local. Thank you.

Great coffee. If I was being really picky I'd say both coffee and banana bread a little small for the money. Super friendly staff. Will return.
Dined here for lunch. Service was quick and the food was very tasty and presented well. The place had a nice atmosphere and had views of the beach.
Amazing! The owner is so friendly and welcoming. One of the waitresses is very grumpy and you can tell she doesn't like working there, she almost brings the mood down a little bit. However it's a lovely little cafe right on the beach. The food is fantastic as are the hot drinks.
Great value and nice place for family dining out! Fantastic beach front view, especially for a Sunday morning breakfast. Highly recommend.
