Review Delicious House Restaurant - Deer Park

Had driven by this place a number of times and always thought I needed to try it out and I’m glad I finally did! We had the sesame prawn toast, sizzling fillet pepper steak, fried eggplant and vegetable fried rice and it was a delicious flavour combination. Steak was lovely and tender and the eggplant melted in your mouth. Can’t wait to try more of dishes on the dine in menu and the takeaway lunch menu. Thanks Delicious House team for the great Chinese food.

My girlfriend and I went here off a recommendation from a friend we ate chicken and corn soup which was nice after we added a touch of salt, duck pancakes which were the highlight, really nice! Szechuan beef was also really nice but the chilli salt quail and satay chicken were so dry to the point they were almost inedible and they had obviously run out of satay sauce as they served the chicken satay with what tasted to me like a plum sauce, also had a serve of fried rice which was plain.. was slightly more expensive than other places, my advice is if you go stay away from deep fried menu options and you should be right, unfortunately i wont be going back as 40% of the bill was a waste of $$

Best Chinese food I've had since being in Melbourne, Australia. Service was amazing, overall fantastic place to dine. Highly recommend ordering sweet and sour pork, special fried rice, oyster chicken and cashew and beef omelete 👌💯

Really take pride of their name...Delicious! One must go and experience the food. The soft shell crab is a bomb and lemon chicken too!

We decided to go for the banquet. Food was fresh and delicious. Staff here are very accommodating. Totally check these guys out if your in the area. Recommend the Delicious Chicken dish!

I go here almost every year, the food is incredibly delicious with so many unique twists and turns, I love the calamari with spicy salt and pepper, their fried rice is godly soft and chewy with exotic flavors everywhere and good service I have to crown this place as my personal favorite restaurant. You can expect that there wont be let down!

The Delicious house serves a superior sort of Cantonese food. There was no delivery option through an uber eats or deliveroo service which was annoying especially during the lockdown. Take away photos do not do justice. See you soon, Delicious House!

The food from here was amazing. Steak was incredibly tender, lemon chicken was great and the special fried rice is the best I've had in ages. This is definitely our new "go to" Chinese place.

Staff is always friendly and food is always amazing! Never lets us down! always look forward to a great meal that’s cooked to perfection. The Chinese sausage and shark Finn soup is always a must when we dine in. Always trying something different each time and such a great variety on the menu.

We travel nearly 1hr to get to this restaurant regularly. The staff are friendly and the meals are top notch. Highly recommend to anyone.

I have been coming to Delicious for almost 30 years and the food has never been better. Since the new management have taken over the service have been very good with friendly and helpful staff.

Cooked to perfection, they have the best rainbow steak (beef) in town. Staff was polite and friendly, dishes served to table quickly.

Have gotten take away about 4 times & eaten in once and all times have been great! Highly recommend the lychee martini if u like cocktails.

This restaurant has got to be my favourite Chinese place EVER. And I have eaten at many Chinese places (expensive as well as affordable) over the years and Delicious House’s food has always excited my tastebuds and left me feeling full and happy. The portions are excellent. The menu is broad enough. The atmosphere is great (especially during weekdays when it feels more relaxed and there aren’t as many patrons). Love this place and would 100% recommend it to anyone looking for a Chinese eatery in the far western suburbs.

Don't really know why we didn't try here sooner but so glad we finally did. We now have a new favourite local eatery.<br/><br/>Suprisingly on the inside it's quite spacious, clean, and has a welcoming atmosphere. The set up is lso suitable for big groups. Staff was polite and service was prompt. We really enjoyed our food as it was flavoursome and not oily like other places that offered similar food. Looking forward to come back for a family dinner.

Took my father here for his birthday and this restaurant had changed owners the last we visited. The food is much more proper and better then before. We ordered quiet a lot main dishes and here wasn’t any dishes to fault.

I have been going here for years. Since my childhood a long time ago. The food has always been amazing. I’ve never had a bad experience here at all. Recently they have possibly had new owners as the place has been cleaned up and new menus with pictures. I recommend anything from the chefs specials menu. Rainbow beef, special delicious. The prawns. All of it! Treat yourself. And it’s not expensive at all

This place has the best San Choy Bow! it's sweet and so tasty!<br/><br/>This is a very westernised Asian restaurant - which is Both a good and a bad thing. There is alot of sauce but it tastes really nice. Dishes are quite big - if you're going with 3 people only get like 2 mains and some rice and that will just leave some room for desert.<br/><br/>Wait staff were very prompt and helpful with any questions. The BBQ pork entree we got was a little tough but the meat in the Mongolian beef was soooooo tender.<br/>

Not many diners when my partner and i were there, but the food was amazingly delicious. We had the flounder fish and sizzling pepper steak. It took about 15 minutes for the sizzling steak to come out and 10 minutes later the fish. Really enjoyed it and wound happily recommend. I think this restaurant makes more on take away customers.

Oh wow! Went there today for the first time since the new owners took over and food was delicious! From entrees to dessert, absolutely amazing. Very clean. Service was brilliant and so very friendly . Can't wait to go back. New favorite for us! Thank you.

I have been coming here infrequently for many years now and l have always been amazed by the food, quality of food and service. I have to be honest this is probably the best place for a pleasant meal. Came here recently with a large table, the service was exceptional. The waiter new who ordered what and he delivered each meal to the right person, small things like that l find impressive as l barely remember what l have ordered half hour prior. <br/> Quality of food is fantastic, all the ingredients are fresh, and lm thinking locally grown. Has a nice atmosphere and a different type of architecture. <br/> If your close by do yourself the flavour and try this place will not dissapoint 😃

I came around deer park area to buy couple of Blundstone boots and the sales person reccommended me this joint for lunch. As I am always on the road for work, I am always willing to try new places. I ordered the lunch special fried rice with beef in black bean sauce ($9.5). The meal was rich in flavor, simple and came in a generous serve. Nothing more to add, probably their dinner menu is worth a proper second visit.

Best Chinese in the west. Every plate unique,every plate tasty. All freshly made in record time. No long waiting time,6 dishes for 6 people including 2 fried rice. Eaten and out in under an hour at great prices. Team friendly!

An interesting place to eat at from its unusually drab interior for a Chinese restaurant to the quirky nature of the waiter however the dishes were well done and presented and full of flavour. Based just on cuisine and taste then this restaurant will definitely make the grade.<br/><br/>We ordered several dishes including Garlic Pork (yum), Beef and vegetables and,Honey Chicken to mention a few. The dishes were all well prepared and cooked full of flavour. The amounts were adequate and did not disappoint. <br/><br/>To top off the meal we had deep fried ice-cream which was an experience on its own with a lovely Flambé approach to the dessert. The deep fried ice-cream was one of the nicest tasting ice-creams I have had with its crusty exterior topped with a wafer to finish the presentation.<br/><br/>The only real negative is that when we initially, even before ordering, asked to be moved from a table located right under the air-conditioning vent blowing extremely cold air this was met with some reluctance and the waiter suggested turning off the air-con instead ... this was a bit baffling as the restaurant was not exactly full with another table available to seat us. Anyway our insistence on being moved was complied with and the air conditioning stayed on for the comfort of the other patrons.<br/><br/>Other than this unusually shaky start to our dining experience the evening was more than made up for with prompt service and good food.

This place is great, cant believe all the terrible reviews I've read.<br/>Me and my family come here all the time. Food is great, and staff are friendly and pleasant! Favorite dish here is the Peppered Beef dish or the Honey chili chicken.<br/>Banquets are good value prices and its easy to walk in and be seated or make a booking. Great family restaurant.

I absolutely love coming to Delicious House for dinner. Have been coming here for years and am always satisfied with the level of customer service and taste of the food. Kent (one of the owners) always makes you feel welcome and is eager for a chat and a joke to keep you entertained. The serving sizes are great and the food is always bursting with flavor. The special delicious chicken, special fried rice and quail are always winners for me!! Keep up the good work guys and don't ever let the flames die out :)

Banquet. We went there tonight for tea. Had the banquet for 2 , they happily changed the soup from chicken and sweet corn to long soup. Food was served steaming hot and very quickly. Wait staff were lovely and the food was divine. Even gave us a choice for dessert although the banquet menu said only banana fritter and ice cream. Very good value and little heart shaped cut outs and heart shaped chocs on the table for Valentines day and some special cocktails too. <br/>Had a great time and left very very full.PS the chicken delish dish is scrumptious

Review. My honest opinion would be that the fried rice is the best in the area. With recent renovations, lightens the environment a lot and with more staff it looks a lot more welcoming than previously. Love IT !

Grumpy man makes name for himself - hyphen terrible food. He certainly made a name for himself, I have found out his name is Kent but I prefer to call him Kunt, Noodles underc00ked and $uP3R dRy. C00ked by a Caucasian, therefore fake and quite possibly gay.

Best fried rice in the area. Delicious House has the best fried rice in our area. We usually get take away, but we occasionally dine in. The decor is a bit tatty but now that the family matriarch has passed away, appearances are ever-so-slowly changing. The dishes are your usual Cantonese fare with the hot and spicy bean curd being a winner for me, along with the hot and sour soup. Service is good, we have never been left waiting long when dining in and the serving sizes and prices are reasonable (entrees ~$6.00 and mains ~$14.00). A local favourite.

This place is an oldie, but still a goodie! We've enjoyed coming here over the past 20 years and yes, the place needs a revamp, but the good is amazing! It's much quieter to dine in, but the phone is off the hook for take away orders. Staff are polite, and you are greeted at the door. No slang, no 'what are you doing after work' banter, just professionalism to the max. Well done Delicious House.

This place is in desperate need of a make over. The walls are covered in food stains and it's smells like a dirty old pub. AS For the meals, mine had a burnt taste through everything.

Delicious House. We were planning to have a meal there tonight, the whole family, but after reading the review's we have changed our mind.

Very Disapointed!!. I have booked the restaurant for 50 something people. We were told that each menu we order will cover 10 person per table and we also got told that 5 different dishes will be enough for the people that were coming. Sad to say, It was not enough. Scallop dish for 23 dollars is not even enough for one person!! Lots of onions and less scallops!! And so with the other dishes. To save us from embarassment, I have to order 2 more dishes per table of 6. I have never written a review before but because of this experience, I was inclined to share my thoughts. It's up to you guys if you still want to take the chance.

Couldn't be happier with this food. I am a fan on this cuisine and with all the restraraunts I have eaten at this was the best one. The owners may be old but the food is amazing and they are very quick. Chili is in the oil in a lot of dishes now says so its nothing to pick at. Love love love!

Terrible! Been a few times over the years & it just gets worse! OVERPRICED & greeted by a old grumpy man who has no expression whatsoever! Don't bother wasting your time & hard earned money!

Oily, flavorless rubbish.. Possibly the worst Chinese food I have ever eaten. Super oily, tough chicken, too expensive. I've been 3 times in the last 3 years and each time it was incredibly slow, and my cat wouldn't even eat the leftovers.

Dissaponted. We went there for dinner on a winters evening. The restaurant was cold and uninviting, no in house music, half the restaurant was in darkness - possibly on account of low number of patrons. We were greeted on arrival by the patriarch, of this obviously family run establishment, and seated at a table with fresh, crisp table linen. The waiting staff, a youngish couple, attended to us with not a smile on their face or a greeting of any kind. The menu's were set down in the centre of the table and 'she' was gone. 'He' then came and took the order - again expressionless, you would think we were imposing on them. 'He' brought a jug of water to the table and set it down at the edge along with glasses stacked one inside the other - and he was gone. The food arrived very quickly - not surprising, as there were not a lot of patron for that time of the evening. The food was expensive, bland and insipid and left a lot to be desired. Average per head is $20.00. The beverage list was not that extensive either. We will definitely not be visiting this place ever again.

Fantastic food, fantastic price, nice people, restaurant could do with a bit of renovations, but you will definately enjoy your meal!

Greeted at the door by an elderly matriarch you are escorted to a linen decked table, offered hot towels and feted with quite flamboyantly presented dishes. Very pleasing food; small and inexpensive wine list; and passing parade of moggies outside the window have ensured the Bears have enjoyed every meal here. Highly recommended.
