Visited on a weeknight and tried a few dishes as well as their congee. Personally not a fan of congee but I must say it was really good.

The deep fried Kalamari with salted egg yolk was good too. Loved the wide variety on their menu

Good local Vietnamese cuisine. Fast service, Vietnamese coffee is a bit on the sweet side. Rice dish was delicious. pho was not bad. But I can taste is not specialised here. Recommend ordering the rice dishes. :3

Their pineapple fried rice is divine. The individual grains of rice stay separate and evenly seasoned. Its always the perfect texture which is so rare to fins. Their salted egg squid tentacles are also amazing but not spicy as they so claim. It is a bit pricey but outside of that eating those foods have always made me happy.

Very nice accessible location along Ballarat road in Deer Park. Pho was good but not the best. The rest of the food I order hits the spot. Service was quite quick. They serve free tea which was a delight (but wasn't very hot). It's a good option if your around the area.

Have eaten here a few times now and been satisfied each time.
Stir fried beef with Szechuan, the Chicken with Szechuan and honey chicken, all were generous serves and delicious. Also tried “Egg” fried rice for first time and was pleasantly surprised. It's plane - just egg & spring onion but tasty without being overpowering, Great option to have with mains.
Have also tried Mongolian beef on sizzling plate, this was really good and the chicken with Chinese broccoli was also nice. However on this occasion there was MSG added to one of the meals, so this was disappointing! (I get a reaction from MSG)
Otherwise the Restaurant is fairly clean & staff are friendly and helpful with any menu questions.

Went there on Monday night during Chinese New Year season, the place is very crowded. Love the crab , definitely gonna go back for that, most dishes are quite sweet but I like it.

The quality of most of the  dishes that they make are fresh, fragrant and flavourful. Although there are some dishes that they have made that is questionable since they seen to be rather bland. Been here on multiple occations and there are minimal things that I can pick out that I dislike.

The storefront for seating is extremely small and cramped. But the amazing food makes up for everything. Very authentic flavours and good sized servings, would recommend to anyone who is dissapointed with their local takeout.........

We had broken rice, vegetarian noodles and drinks. The food was good, generous and fresh. Plenty of tofu and the veggies were cut with love. The waiters were great, fast and friendly. Service behind the counter could have been better.

My favourite Vietnamese and Chinese Restaurant because it is always good money for value. For dinner my family had the Raw Kingfish Salad, Hanoi Turmeric Fish with Dill, Steamed Oysters with XO Sauce and Steamed Abalone with Ginger & Spring Onions. Delicious food and it came out quickly.

We've been here several times already and the food have always been consistently good. The free range chicken salad is morish and the fresh abalone is very good value for money. Would recommend a visit.

My Babes And I

My babes and I felt like having Viet food for dinner one night after shopping in Highpoint. It started to rain hard while we were driving on Ballarat Road so we decided to eat at a Viet restaurant called Vinh Thuan as its near my babes house.
We got there just after 5 PM and we noticed that the usually packed restaurant was relatively empty except for a handful of customers at a couple of tables. I ordered a dish I haven't had in a while called Broken Rice, an Avocado Smoothie for my drink and my babes ordered BBQ & Roasted 2 Kinds with Dry Egg Noodles. Since there wasn't a lot of customers, all of our food was served within five minutes.
I've had their Avocado Smoothie previously and I really like it as it reminds me of a drink my mum used to make me when I was a kid. It's half an avocado blended with some full cream milk and condensed milk until smooth. The avocado flavour is tempered by the sweetness of the condensed milk so if you like avocado without it being too overpowering, I'd recommend trying it if you haven't had it before.
My babes meal came in two separate dishes. The first was a plate of roast pork and crispy BBQ pork laid out in rows and the second was a bowl half full of dry egg noodles with bean sprouts and a lettuce leaf covered in what looks to be sweet chilli sauce then topped with halved peanuts and fried garlic. We were both surprised by how great the presentation was as we were both expecting the meat on top of plain egg noodles. My babes didn't like the BBQ pork, or Char Siu, as it was quite dry and flavourless compared to others we've had elsewhere but the roast pork, or Heo Quay, was perfectly cooked as the meat was moist with a crispy skin. The noodles were more flavoursome than I was expecting and we would get it again but probably with just the roast pork next time.
My Broken Rice, or Com Tam, was a lemongrass pork chop, a fried egg, some shredded pork, a small slice of pork loaf, some pickled carrot and white radish, cucumber, tomatoes and about a cup of broken rice. The pork chop looked very plain and small when it was placed before me but I was surprised when I first bit into it. The tender meat was marinated perfectly with a sweet fragrance from the lemongrass. The only disappointment was that one piece wasn't enough of the flavoursome pork chop. The pork loaf and shredded pork also tasted great and the crispy fried egg with a runny yolk was just as I like it. My babes didn't want her clear soup broth so I had hers and mine which, along with the broken rice, filled me up for the night.
My babes and I have come here a few times with her family and I find that although it's not as good as other Viet restaurants in St. Albans, Sunshine or Footscray, it is the best Viet food I've had in Deer Park. Recommended for any locals not wanting to go too far for good Vietnamese cuisine but go early in the night if you can as I've seen Vinh Thuan packed out with customers for dinner more often than not.

Came here on a Friday night, it was very busy. We ordered a few dishes for 8 people. All the food came out on time and very delicious, they also came with big servings and was enough to fill the whole family and we still had to take away some. Overall the experience was very good and the customer service good.

I have been to this restaurant for several times..
The food are awesome.. the Pho is the best one in Melbourne.. and i dont think they use much MSG compare to other Vietnamese pho..
Also the crispy chicken with tomato rice was outstanding.. the wonton noodle soup just average..
The service is also good.. sometimes they not really pay attention when the restaurant busy, but i would say it is normal when the restaursnt busy they will always run like a chicken..
Will always go back there..

Price is also reasonable!! Very reccomended

A western delight. What a great little restaurant, we visited on a sat night and arrived just in time to get a table for 4 before they became full. With such a extensive menu it was hard to decide what to order, we decided to share a few of the meals. Tom yum soup- I thought it was good vALue for $5. It was a small bowl and contained prawn fish quail egg and mystery seafood. We ordered a pho to share, it was delicious a little sweeter then I am use too but good nevertheless. Wish it had some viet mint, and a little more thai basil. Everything else was perfect and for around $10 for a large bowl you could fill up. Next we had rice paper rolls grilled chicken - loved them, so freshly made they hadn't been sitting around cold in a fridge. Chicken was warm taste was great sauce was ok. Our friend ordered sweet and sour pork - great serving size and tasted of good quality meat and was enjoyable and well made. The sizzling Mongolian was also really good a little sweeter then I am use to or like. Hubby ordered the BBQ plate pork duck and chicken, to be honest I didn't like any of it - not the texture or the flavour. I ordered the beef and chilli lemongrass stir fry and it was so flavoursome and delicious and can't wait to order it again. My son enjoyed the fried rice. I will definatly be returning to is restaurant and trying some new items along with re ordering rice paper rolls and lemongrass beef. Well done great to see more good restaurants in the west :)

Good authentic Vietnamese food. Quails and crispy chicken are nicely cooked. Others are not bad. Service is relatively good, unlike the comments I read prior to our visit.
