Review Bronte's Gourmet - Deniliquin

Would not recommend. Went there for breakfast. Order taken and paid for and was only THEN advised that there would be a wait. Apparently there was 9 other people. 9! (The occupancy of the whole cafe) too late to leave now. "Food" finally came with drinks (too hard to serve drinks first?) Decorative fruit on plate was rock solid frozen. Bacon was paper thin & cooked so much it was like cardboard. 2 pieces of plain white toast. So not worth the overpriced $15.

The food was ok, but the coffee was so milky that it you couldn't taste the coffee. The need to get the ratio right when ordering a mug of coffee.

Service was poor as soon as we walked in, ordered breakfast and some coffees. The coffee was bitter as anything I've ever had. The food took so long to get to us and we were the only people there. The food was average just all piled into a sloppy mess. And this is the first "cafe" I've been to in such a long time that still uses white bread from a supermarket. Not impressed and won't be back again. A waste of $50.

Orange cake was nice but canned whipped cream is gross. Cuppa was boiling hot. Too hot to drink while were were there. Just about right when we were ready to leave.

Sadly, Bronte's is not the thriving hub for social catch ups and beautiful fresh food that it used to be.
