Absolutely 10/10. From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel welcome. No milkshakes on the menu but I got one . The meals cane out in a reasonable time and tasted amazing. I had the risotto and probably the best I’ve ever had. My hubby had the burger and was pleased. The only regret I have is not asking the waiters their names so as to personalise this message. We will be back for sure!!
Amazing food and coffee! We had our son in a pram and they were very accommodating (especially when we took up space). Definitely recommend this place!!
The foods and coffee are great and the service is the best after you’ve been through Match& Co .. friendly staffs and the interior design is fantastic.. great to see Dingley Village has a proper coffee shop,, will go again and again.
I have quinoa salad with pulled lamb shoulder. Yummy but can be improved slightly. Too much oil in salad and not enough freshness. Reasonably price food. Coffee is really good. Service is great and reasonable waiting time
Amazing food & great great people. A must go to for a delicious breakfast or lunch
Delicious food, very friendly staff coping very well in their first week of opening. Good range of vegan options and good coffee. Great addition to the village.
The food was crazy good and the coffee was amazing... fantastic addition to Dingley.
Will definitely be eating there again and again, can’t wait to try everything on the menu
Just had lunch here with my partner and it was amazing! They were very accommodating - I ordered the warm quinoa salad with extra mushrooms and it is honestly the best thing I have ever tasted! Will be coming back for sure :)
Absolutely great experience, best service! Coffee and food is quality.
The food was fresh and delicious and very friendly staff. Will definately be back thank you guys
Absolutely obsessed with this place! Must try out the activated charcoal bowl!
first time dinners, won't be the the last time. Great service, great food, great coffee and outstanding presentation.
Delicious food, great atmosphere & amazing service 10/10
Love this place, great food and wonderful coffee!
Had a beautiful meal. Great service also. Will be definitely be going back.
Consistently great coffee and service... Staff always upbeat and happy to see you; makes for a great start to my morning!
Awesome vegan options!! Loved the grain salad will be back
One of the smoothest tasting latte's I have had. Welcome.
Been here twice already, and love it! Food is delicious and coffee is excellent
Great coffee and the Moroccan egg... yum! Looking forward to next time
This place is my GO-TO cafe for a good coffee and delicious food. Service is great! and the staff is very friendly and helpful. A special mention to Kristy from the team... her coffee is absolutely amazing and always a pleasure to see her bubbly face!
Great atmosphere and the vegan options are delicious especially the falafel dish with pickled turnip, amazing!! local and convenient for me too. Will definetely be back.
Strange Servant was great when I visited with some friends for lunch. We were seated quickly and the waitresses were prompt at bringing over water and taking the drinks orders.
There are so many great sounding meals on the menu that I really struggled with deciding what to order to eat.
I ended up going for the Pan Seared Salmon Salad - it was so good!! All of the ingredients worked well together and the lime squeezed over it really topped it off. The only thing that would of made the meal better was if the salmon was cooked for a shorter amount of time. The skin was beyond crispy, it was a bit burnt.
Overall a lovely visit though.
Awesome panna cotta! Wait staff were super friendly and food came out so fast, even on a fully packed Sunday! New favourite cafe :)
Strange Servant is great little cafe in the heart of Dingley Village with ample parking in the area. I had massive cravings for pancakes, and when I saw it was offered at the cafe, I decided to drop by with my sister as it was also super close to home.
Unfortunately, the pancakes were sold out - which was weird, considering it was only 12pm when we got there - so I opted for the Deconstructed Fajita Bowl, and my sister went for the Pumpkin and Sage Gnocchi.
My bowl was delicious! The flavours were great, and the serving size was perfect - not too big nor too small. However, my sister noted that her gnocchi was a bit too salty. I had a taste, and agreed. We ended up squeezing my wedge of lime over her gnocchi to balance out the saltiness.
The coffee and hot chocolate were good though.
3.5*
The food was quite good although the tomato flavour was a bit too salty for me. The juice was good. Brunch isn’t my go to usually however we wanted to try out this place that was local. Service was great and the restaurant had a nice ambience.
Love love love this place! Everything is top quality! From the food, to the coffee, and most importantly, the welcoming and warm service never fails to amaze me. Good job team!

Had the self titled "The Stranger" eggs perfectly poached, crispy fried egg plant & perfect combination of zesty sauces around the plate. Will definitely be back to try again as well as the others on the menu. Place is a legit 5 star, for quality of food, service & bright clean lively atmosphere.
Enjoyed my meal here.Had the deconstructed fajita bowl and a coffee. Service was efficient, store layout is nice and bright. Chairs are a little bit uncomfortable but not a big issue. Would return if in the area
Not quite what i thought we would find in the quiet suburb of Dingley! My partner and I were driving through Dingley when we decided to stop somewhere for a bite, and im glad we did! A small cafe right outside Dingley Village, Strange Servant is a great surprise. With a great selection of savoury and sweet dishes, we had a number of options to choose from. For the vegans out there, I would recommend the cauliflower and leek fritters. Definitely a winner. And their coffee wasn't too bad either! Would definitely pay this neighbourhood gem another visit if i'm ever in the area.
With a boom of cafes in the area, it wasn't strange to find one such as Strange Servant. With its deceivingly minimal plating presentations, their dishes holds a decent portion that is packed with flavours. It's contemporary ambiance and spacious interiors allow seating for toddlers to adults.
Delicious, colourful and Instagram worthy! Strange Servant was a pleasant and quiet cafe located in Dingley Village. Recommended by my cousin, I had to check this place out and I am so glad I did. Their coffee was so great I ended up ordering one to take away. I can't tell if my heart palpitations are from too much caffeine or if I have a new found love with the food at Strange Servant. I'll definitely be returning!
So I’ve been here to Strange Servant a few times, but I realised I’ve never written a review! I stopped by today since it’s been a while, and the food is still as good as ever.
Had the salmon salad, which was tasty, fresh and hearty all at once- and the salmon skin was crispy! Big win in my books. Hubby had the cauliflower and leek fritters with a side of bacon and he thoroughly enjoyed that as well.
Only slight downer was that the coffee isn’t our favourite here, it does have a slight sour tinge to it but still much nicer than a lot of other coffees we’ve had.

A stylish cafe with plenty of love for the interiors! Great place for brunch and coffee. Staff are all very friendly and attentive. Nice gem of a cafe in Dingley Village!
Stylish cafe located in Dingley Village. I wouldn't expect such a nice modern cafe to be here. Excellent service and food comes out at a normal pace. Had the lentil curry soup with roti. Was $13 so that's a fine price for eating out. I wasn't a fan of the roti bread that came on the side it was really thin and not much of it... It was like tasting air so thin lol. The curry lentil soup was nice however the curry aroma simply wasn't there and a bit salty even though I didn't add salt to it. My friend had the lamb with veggies and avo poached egg on toast they both loved every bit of it.
I love this cafe. The staff are so friendly and welcoming and are happy to help with any dietary requirements. The food is delicious and really fresh, it's a little pricey but it's worth it. I would definitely recommend to anyone in the area.
Great food! Their dishes are so tasty and very attractive. We don’t choose anywhere else for lunch anymore. I love this place. Just wish it wasn’t so popular on the weekends!
Was an amazing experience. Interior was so welcoming, staff were super friendly and helpful.
The smashed avo on the pumpkin bread was a good dish to your standard smashed avo. I also added poached eggs and halloumi which was a great addition to the dish.
The coffee was amazing quality also!
Can’t wait to go back and try more dishes
This place is all things cafes should be about. So beautifully styled and with a just a great menu. The service here is exceptional along with its coffee. Loved everything about this coffee. The activated Charcoal panacotta was so good.
The food and service was amazing! Staff were very friendly when we wanted to move seats and they responded attentively to our inquiries. It was my first time trying a green juice and it tasted incredible! Will deffs visit again
Awesome breakfast!
A beautiful, bright cafe and a fantastic place to eat. A nice breathe of fresh air for Dingley residents.
I had the cauliflower fritters which were fabulous. Very nice indeed. Good coffee too.
To add to the greatness of strange servant, the staff were lovely! Thanks for a pleasant breakfast on a sunny Saturday.
First time here and I have to say, pleasantly surprised! The staff are friendly and attentive. I had the cauliflower fritters and they were delicious. I especially loved the kale and chickpea salad. A great little cafe that was definitely needed in Dingley Village. Now I have a lovely place to go when I visit mum!
Strange Servant is a new and welcome addition to Dingley Village. It has a corner shopfront location, with a glass facade all around. The cafe interior has a modern, hip feel to it, with an urban grungy decor featuring white painted brick and distressed panel walls, contrasting black highlights, suspended lights, and decorative large round mirrors. A mural of a suitably bearded hipster (barista ?) adorns the rear wall. The tables are a faux rustic weathered timber, and they are paired with simple steel frame and timber chairs. Some kerbside tables are provided for outdoor dining. The ambience is enhanced by some layback funky tracks. I found the service relaxed, casual and welcoming, and water was provided upon my being seated. The menu is interesting, with an all day breakfast, including vegetarian and vegan options, such as cauliflower and leek fritters. The lunch menu is less extensive though, and includes fewer veggie options. The coffee I had was well made, properly extracted and served at an appropriate temperature. A lot more trendy than one could expect for Dingley, this cafe is worth checking out.
First thing first, you’ll easily find this lovely cafe on the corner of popular block of the suburb. Friendly waitstaffs will come greet you upon arrival. Secondly, our latte is nice and smooth. We have the Gnocchi and. Big breakfast ( the last item on the menu) and they are excellent.
Lastly, I love their location on the corner with glass wall which makes the shop look wider. All in all, a great cafe that we will definitely revisit. Highly recommended 👍
Portions are big and filling. I opted for d’villager and just managed to finish it. My friend had the hotcakes which I thought was the real winner. The coffee though was a little flat, weak & disappointing. Nice table setting and interior. Easy parking at Woolies.
My partner and I came across this little gem on our way to the peninsula. The vegan options and the presentation of the dishes are incredible, photo doesn’t justify. Also staff has been fantastic. We really felt welcome. We will be back for sure.
Well I always just drive past Dingley .. today my bestie decided to bring me here for my birthday breakfast treat ..
Extremely clean shop .. nice hanging plants .. nice clear menu ..
it was nice to see so many different things eg pulled lamb Benny .. chorizo , plenty of vegetarian options , cakes , slices , smoothies , nice coffee ☕️
The staff were very accommodating.. small intimate cafe .. with lots of regulars
Please try .. don’t just take my word for it
As always friendly service and beautiful foods, coffee were amazing, highly recommended.
The food is amazing, the staff is very kind and professional and the place looks stunning. Great place to have a breakfast, would 100% recommend and definitely will come back
Amazing menu with wonderful breakfast. One of the best muesli bowls I have had and the presentation was 10/10.
Highly recommend.
