Review Ajisai Sushi - Dingley Village

Wonderful place which has a really good menu and some of my all time favourite sushi. They have some grilled eel which is something I highly recommend. They have wonderful presentation and flavour to match it.

Stumbled upon this little shop which is not on the main commercial area Totally good authentic Japanese sushi food.. Very happy with pricing and freshness of ingredients. Friendly staff too. Will definitely come again.

Lovely service, wonderfully fresh food. Tuna and salmon were amazing, we had them in a variety of dishes that I would order again! Rice paper rolls, sushi and poke bowl. We will be coming regularly!

I ordered Tuna and Avocado Sushi Rolls, not much really inside just rice really was disappointed to open up and see minimal filling. I tried this place a second time ordered a California sushi roll, ended up sick from it, food safety not a priority at this place, will not visit again as had 2 chances.

I live locally, and am a regular visitor to Ajisai; I usually enjoy the food and the service is always prompt and attentive. However last night there was only one girl serving and she appeared to be run off her feet attending to numerous takeaway orders. It took quite a while for the food we ordered to be brought to our table, and when it DID come, it was in takeaway containers instead of plates or dishes, and only plastic forks and chopsticks were offered. The food was lovely as usual but the delivery left a lot to be desired. Sorry, but not really good enough :(

Posting of behalf of my elderly family: Bought salmon sushi and another plate- was expensive for the small portion. No menu or prices displayed anywhere. I didn't even receive a plastic bag, cutlery or chopsticks while other customers at least received a bag. Disappointed in the whole experience and will not be returning there again.

Honestly, the best sushi i had in such a long time. Tried few other restaurants and nothing compares. One of my latest food obsession now :)

Pretty average, it all tasted mass produced. I'm fairly certain the chicken karage was just some Inghams Souther fried chicken frozen tenderloins.... We probably would only go back for hand rolls... Pricing is reasonable, but certainly not in a hurry to go back.

Before covid-19 restrictions i would go here 1-4 times a week, for lunch or dinner. The server always remembers my order and has amazing service. The best 🍣 sushi nigiri in the entire area, even when ordering it as takeaway during the covid-19 restrictions. Honestly love this store and always go at least 1 time a week to ensure they are getting business during the difficult current times. It would be a huge lose to the community and area if they were forced to close down because of the Covid-19.Absolutely recommend this place for you, your family or friends and even for date nights. Always clean and well prepared for their busiest times of day.Love this place 💓 would recommend to anyone even people who do not like sushi, will like sushi after trying this restaurant.

Love the food here! Sushi is always fresh and tasty. Quick service. We ordered salmon nigiri, prawn sushi and pork gyoza. Best takeaway! Will be back again

Thanks for the meals!<br/><br/>Ordered beef sukiyaki, eel don and salmon nigiri via menulog.<br/><br/>Delivered at the precise time this is a place I know I can rely on when I need a quick delivered meal after work. The beef was succulent, sweet and salty and the eel was smooth moist and super tender. The rice was perfectly cooked. The salmon nigiri was fresh and I loved the vinegar content of the rice. Just as satisfying as popular Japanese restaurants around Melbourne. Will continue to be a regular!

Waited over 2 hours for our meal to be delivered. Called 1 hour in to say it would be 10-20 minutes. Waited another hour called again and was told it was on its way. 30 minutes later we called again just for them to say the food is still at the shop they came and knocked but no body answered, we had the door open as we were waiting for them so there was no possibility that could of happened. Ended up having to drive there to pick it up. And you guessed it .. it's not ready. <br/>Never again.

I love this place! I regularly order through Menulog and pick up on my way home, there vegetable gyoza’s are to die for. I’ve never had anything like it, very high quality food and I hope their business does well because the food is incredible and the staff are extremely friendly!!!
