Stayed at the Heritage Lodge and booked dinner at ‘On the Turps’. One of the best meals I’ve had in years! Ordered Kangaroo with mash and veggies, and cannelloni. Beautifully presented, perfectly cooked! Photos do not do it justice! Breakfast was also delicious and COVID prepared.
Probably one of the better restaurants in the area, but at a higher price tag. Food was good, but we were not blown away. Too bad the coffee isn’t great.
A lovely setting in a lush jungle environment. The service was excellent and the staff were friendly.
If you’re looking for somewhere to eat in a classic FNQ rainforest then this is a gem.
Don’t go there expecting an extensive menu of Michelin Star dishes because this isn’t that. What it is is a small range of simple well prepared dishes, using quality produce, which are better than anything else I’ve tried in the Daintree area.
Very nice location in the middle of the rainforest. The food is very good and as vegetarians we found something nice as well.
Its a little bit off the road. So don’t think you are wrong if you drive down the rocky road.
Good food and service at a reasonable price (only slightly more expensive than a pub meal).
