Absolutely love this place! Amazing service, beautiful presentation of food and sensational taste! The coffee here is wonderful! My absolute favourite place to go for breakfast, brunch, lunch, or even just a coffee! Highly recommend this place!

This cafe that has been around Doncaster for a while now have updated their menu with a variety of dishes that are both innovative and delicious.
I would definitely recommend:
✔️Korean fried chicken burger- honey siracha sauce was absolutely banging. The pickled daikon added to the crunch and sweetness. Chicken was juicy but could be seasoned better. Chips were crispy and tasty.
✔️Lychee duck curry- great curry with the lychee and pineapple adding sweetness which is what makes a good red curry for me. Good ratio of duck to vegies. Roti was butter and flaky.
Three monkeys impresses with their new menu which offers both modern western and asian flavours that will not dissapoint!
Added to my local favourite cafes. Loved the food as well as the dirty chai. Will definitely come back again
What an absolute gem. This is one of my FAVOURITE coffee places of all time. At this point I am yet to find a latte that tops three monkeys place (I am a barista myself so this is kind of embarrassing). This is a very cute cafe in the hub of Jackson Court. Previously I have gone for just a takeaway latte which was great. More recently I had the fruit toast which was not your typical toast as it was served with mascarpone, berries and museli. One of the best fruit toast dishes I’ve had for sure! To accompany it I had an iced coffee (without ice cream) which was strong and refreshing.
Keen to return to this cafe to try some of the savoury dishes.

It's great to have such a high quality cafe tucked away in Jackson Court. This place was super busy when we visited but the service remained warm and friendly. It's a nice cosy setting to catch up with friends while enjoying some good food and coffee.
We had 2 of their items today. The avocado smash was a work of art. At this joint, if it looks good, it tastes good! Everything was fresh and delicious. The sambal scrambled eggs looked less attractive but tasted just as good. I like me some well done fusion food. The cappuccino and latte were reasonable

Such a great little place! The breakfast and chicken burgers were delicious, coffee was perfect and the taro latte was so addictive, I had to go back the next day before work for a takeaway. Will definitely be coming back :)
Three Monkeys is my one of many local cafes and it’s a favourite of mine! The food is always delicious and the coffee is always perfect.
It gets a little noisy in the front room but hey, it’s a busy cafe so it’s to be expected...
I would love to see more brunch options on the menu and maybe a few more vegan and gluten free alternatives for those with intolerances or specific lifestyle choices...

I was in the area for a quick meeting so I decided to pop into Three Monkeys Place for brunch. Their menu looked fun and creative so was excited to try. As I was in a bit of a hurry, they were very good in making my meal quick.

Three Monkeys Place in situated in the busy area within the Jackson's Court vicinity. Just as you enter via Doncaster Road into the main street of Jackson's Court it is just on the corner opposite to the open space car park where Dan Murphy is.
As the cafe is on a corner of an side alley, it is very easy to notice it. As you walk in you see a bright sky blue tiled counter and on both opposite walls it has the effect of raw warehouse brick touch to it so it makes the cafe seem very casual and laid back. You would think the cafe is very small from the when you have entered, but dont be fooled, as you make your way to the back, there are more seating area which is like a narrow sun room and open the sliding door and there are plenty of seating out the back as well.

Super friendly service. The staff here are very attentive and helpful. I noticed how efficient they are in taking orders, clearing tables and preparing drinks. My drink was made so fast, I was pleasantly surprised but at same time quite thankful.

I had a difficult time in deciding what to order lol. I think it was a mix of being in a rush but still have to eat kinda mode. The tall gentleman who took my order was very helpful and I decided to order:

The Salmon Rosti was such a refreshing dish and oh my gosh! I didn't expect the Potato Rosti to be a similar size to a piece of toast! So generous! Absolutely loved the cured salmon, it tasted so yummy and very colourful too! The fennel, roquette and the orange piece gives the whole dish a light balance to the salmon and potato rosti. I wish there was a bit more orange pieces as the citrus flavour gives it a nice kick to it.
It's my first time to drink Taro latte. I wasn't sure what to expect and to my suprise it was actually quite nice. It wasn't heavy and had good flavour and wasn't too milky. I liked that it was good hot temperature too.
I will definitely return to Three Monkeys again as I am interested to try the Sweet Monkey and Rhubarb Baked French Toast.
Love the coffee at 3MP! Made to perfection in my book! The service was lovely, yet efficient, not to mention the pleasant vibe you also get from the sun that shines through on a clear day. A local love, their brekky menu doesn’t disappoint, a classic scrambled egg with toast is delish all the same 👌🏻

Had the best looking and great pancake in my life here. Well, they said it’s more like roti, but they deep fried it, so it was so crispy. Also loved how they put popcorn and brownies around it. The photo can speak for itself how pretty it is. Had their taro latte and it was okay.
Came here from some brunch yesterday, the food was amazing could not fault both me and my boyfriend were so full and happy, my boyfriend even said it was the biggest big breakfast he had ever had. Was happy to hear they were using milk lab coffee as I don’t like milk and milk lab have the best almond milk. The staff could have been a tad more inviting and friendly but other then that I would for sure recommend.
Came today for lunch. We ordered angel hair pasta , play ground, strong latte and the taro latte . Coffee is great so does the pasta . I especially love the taro latte .
This is an awesome brunch place and they amaze me everytime i go. All the food is just amaziing. The food portions are very generous. The waitstaff could smile abit more and be abit more friendly. Lost a star from that. Otherwise all perfect. Would be back :)
i’ve been to 3 monkeys a few times now, usually to get coffee because it’s a local cafe but today i went to get something to eat and i hadn’t had their food in a while! some awesome options on the menu, great service and quick too!
i had the “smashin pumpkin” as i would usually have a smashed avo i decided to go for the pumpkin instead and i absolutely loved it! the dish had hummus, pomegranates, bacon, a poached egg and feta on gluten free bread! every single element went very well together, especially the hummus with the pumpkin. I also had a coffee and it was delicious as usual as i am never disappointed with their coffee!
my friend had the “spring avocado smash” which also looked delicious with the beetroot hummus! i loved how it was presented on the plate, i literally said “wow!” when it came out, it was just so vibrant and colourful!!!
i’ll definitely be back for more :)

Salmon Rosti was delightful! Yummy, crispy rosti topped with greens, orange wedge, beetroot cured salmon and a poached egg. The Horseradish cream cheese was amazing!!
Sweet Monkey is so different from anything I've ever had! The roti pancakes were fried to perfection. The creaminess of the mascarpone was balanced out with the fruit. The biscuit and popcorn add a great textual component to the dish.
And lastly, the coffee was amazing. Great coffee art, too!
Awesome coffee. Quiet dining area to bring a good reading with yourself at the back dining area with attentive customer service that walks up and down every few minutes to see if anyone needed anything. Really enjoy the cured Salmon, huge piece of Rosti. Can’t finished it. Will be back again to try different things on the menu. 🧡
The restaurant was very well presented and clean. I was pleased with the service provided. The food was tasty and this is a great place for a brunch. The atmosphere was very pleasant.

Just returned from a lovely lunch today and I would supply photos except it would've been rude to snap pics while I was out - and if you know me, I usually always take photos. Located in the lovely Jackson Court, this place is on the corner and easy to find. Well lit and spacious, it's a cosy place for a meal and the menu is small but great choices. There is an area out the back that I didn't even notice until I went to use the toilets (which were very clean by the way).
Whether you are here for a meal or for a cuppa or just some morning tea, it's well worth a visit. Oh and yes, the ham hock with eggs on sour dough was delicious and a generous portion size.
Staff were very helpful and quick to help out with our menu choices.
Wheelchair friendly. Kid friendly. Plenty of parking across the road.

Hubby and I both had a perfectly poached egg on a pile of smashed avo with fresh, diced tomatoes and an iced coffee (which was a bit sweet for my taste) and the kids shared a big brekky expecting to follow it up with pancakes but they were too full to try.. we saw the pancakes go past and they looked amazing... a kid’s milkshake each and we all rolled out chockers! Cute surrounds, efficient service, I’d recommend it as something a little different - all day brekky with a slight Asian twist...

I’ve never been to Thailand or Bali but I’ve heard stories about the monkeys there and that they are known for stealing some of your belongings. When I go on holidays that’s the last thing I want to happen. So when my friends said let’s go to ‘three monkeys place’ I was a bit hesitant and held my phone wallet and keys very tight. In the end I was able to relax and not worry about theft. Was a good time and I will go back sometime.
Interesting place I came across today. Ordered the smashed avo which was good but i think the avacado needed more smashing and maybe mix with feta instead of on the side. Hermit fish was good and fries were even better

Having visited this cafe a number of times over the years I was looking forward to trying something new this visit. We ordered the eggs benedict with salmon and the sweet monkey fried roti pancake along with a coffee and taro latte to drink.
Everything we ordered came out beautifully presented, I loved the use of flowers as a finishing touch on each dish. The Sweet Monkey is perfect for a sweet tooth or to share as a dessert, the crunchiness of the deep fried roti worked well with the fresh fruit and mascarpone. I loved the creative take on the traditional pancake.
My sister had the Benedict. Normally the Benedict comes with ham hock however she opted to go with the salmon instead. The salmon was beautifully cured and nicely complimented the hollandaise and poached eggs.
Overall I had a lovely experience at Three Monkeys Place and rate it ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ out of 5.

Heard that this place serve great coffees, so decide to pop in and try it out. It doesn’t disappoint me, coffees were great. The place was nicely decorated, staffs were friendly and prompt. Sure will be back to try out their foods and have more coffees.
We were lucky to be invited to check out this cute suburban cafe. Just on the corner as you enter the busy Jackson’s court is Three MonkeysPlace . With both an indoor and outdoor are it’s spacious and perfect for families.
We ordered the sambal scramble, potato rosti with cured salmon and roti pancakes. We loved the unique Asian twist to the dishes and the creativity of the roti pancakes.

Good location for people nearby. Drive passed here and tried the food. Waiting time is not too long. I tried the burger, served with chips. I like the patty is very juicy and tasty. And also I like the chips, taste a little bit lemon sour.

Second visit here, came for the roti pancake dish again but was just too full to order more! Quite upset at that because it was a dreammm from what I can remember of my last visit!
We had the salmon rosti and mr hermit. The soft shell crab burger has no complaints, filling and delish, but the accompanying papaya salad was quite disappointing. We love som tum when we have Thai cuisine but this was an overly sweet attempt lacking in flavour complexity.
The salmon rosti was great at the start but as the sauce is served smeared straight on, the rosti became soggy almost immediately.
Not a very extensive menu, but way too many options, will need to make several more visits to sample all their wares.
The salmon rosti and the eggs benedict are very, very good. (Eggs benny, in my opinion, is a great way to evaluate a cafe, if they can't get it right, they don't know food)!
The coffee, I've had better, but only very rarely. It's good, really good.
But please don't tell anyone, it's hard enough to get a table already.
Love their food, their outdoor dinning area is very good, kids enjoy eating there and the staffs there are always nice to us. The cafe is a bit small so either go very early or late or just have less people going together.
It was recommended by my friend. It’s a cute brunch place. The sweet monkey is a must. I thought it was the normal pancake with pretty decorations, but it’s not. It tastes like deep fried donuts with thousands of layers. Banana and the cream on the top of the donuts were beautiful mixing.
The playground was good too but I personally prefer the sweet monkey.

The Symmetry coffee was good at Three Monkeys Place but that’s just the start of it with the fabulous menu on offer for our last brunch of 2017.
The cafe itself looks tiny from the street but it goes back back back with three quite different zones including the outside courtyard which was nicely decorated with living breathing plants. We chose the front of the cafe and this zone was buzzy and staff lively.
We ordered the coffee and juices to start with and I chose the Mojito iced tea which was actually a very very nice drink and pretty to boot.
Prettiness continued down the menu with my poached pear, Bircher breakfast with lychee, berries and jelly. This was a stunning beautiful dish toned blue. More importantly it great and was a perfect dish for me after the food I have been eating in the past few weeks.
Another photo worthy picture was the roti pancakes which was a less healthy pick for sure but was certainly impressive and was shared by a few of us. Flavoursome.
Wld Sroom was a mushroom based dish that isn’t something I would ever order as I don’t really like mushrooms but I am told it was perhaps the yummiest of mushroom dishes the person who consumed it had ever had so perhaps give it a crack if mushrooms are your thing.
Lastly we had a classic benedict which hadn’t been tinkered with like some of the recent places I have visited. Don’t fix it if it ain’t broken is perhaps the approach here. There was absolutely nothing wrong with this classic from its egg ooze to its bacon bonus.
Absolutely is the answer I would give to the question of whether I would come back here. We did want the Salmon rosti but sadly they had sold out so definitely an excuse to return.

Located at the corner within Jackson Court Shopping Centre, 2P parking is available in the Dan Murphy car park. We arrived at 11:30am on a Saturday and the cafe itself was busy inside with the enclosed outdoor area relatively quiet (it didn't stay quiet for long though!)
Opened in 2014 by 3 family members and managed by a forth, the cafe is one of the rare ones on this side of town bringing the Melbourne brunch scene that many see up in the Northern suburbs.

The outdoor area is larger than the interior which has warm timber table tops and is separated with a small step down into the outdoor area. To extend the number of seats, the cafe has cleverly enclosed majority of the outdoor area and placed gas heaters so that the outdoor seating area can be used all year round.
The cafe's rest rooms are located in the outdoor area and consists of white table tops and wooden table tops with the largest table outside seating 6 comfortably. However we note that while we were there, we observed staff putting tables together to accommodate much larger groups both inside and outside, with the largest table being put together seating 10-12 guests!
We sat in the outdoor area and appreciated the effort in the design of the area; from the bamboo fencing to bamboo cover of an otherwise not so aesthetically pleasing metal net fence to the potted greenery to the draping string lights.

Three Monkeys Place menu is a single A4 sheet with one side containing an all day menu and the other with drinks.
We sampled three dishes between us; two savoury and a sweet. We could not fault the two savoury dishes, everything complemented each other and went well (even the snow fungus in the soba noodles which I had initially thought was a bit weird).
Mr Hermit was crispy with a nice soy based dressing. The burger itself was well constructed with the asian salad; a perfect partner/contrast to the deep fried soft shell crab.
Soba noodles had a lovely slightly chilli flavour with nice smooth textures (i.e. no extra hard crunch here and there).
Their signature dish is the 'sweet monkey' where the deep fried roti had layers like a croissant. It was crisp on the outside and while it could have done with a little more maple syrup on the top (which would have perfect this dish), it wasn't overly sweet with the sweetness left to the banana in the dish.
Three Monkeys Place has one of the types of menus where we wanted to try everything. Definitely going to be on our recommended list going forward.

One of the better breakfast places in the eastern suburbs. I have been here a couple of times and tried a few different options on the menu. All were good. Service was great. Would definitely come back.
I've been coming here since they had mandarin trees and both the coffee and food have been consistently excellent.
I don't have a particularly sophisticated palate but enjoy their 'Asian fusion' dishes that are fresh, original and just the regular right degree of spicy. They have the kind of menu that other cafes try to copy but mostly fail to do so.
The coffee is consistently a 4/5 and service is excellent. They are hard workers and always polite.

What a lovely little café for a Sunday breakfast! Great atmosphere and large amount of seating for groups. I ordered the French toast, beautiful presentation and delicious. good and friendly service.
Excellent brunch cafe with super delicious food. We first visited a few months back after seeing it rated in one of Melbourne top 20 cafe. And the first time visit did not disappoint. We've been back here for brunch several times already. Always good food, great coffee and staff are always friendly - keeps us coming back. They also have an outdoor area in the back, which is fabulous for dining in spring/summer! So lucky to have it as our local.
A cute & cosy local cafe with surprisingly inventive dishes that make you ask, why don't more people do that? Case in point: the Benedict Trio and Kong's Tower for 2 - both perfect for indecisive orderers or those constantly suffering from food envy.
My only gripe is that the servings are small compared to similarly priced cafes, and on both occasions I left not feeling fully satisfied.
Alas, a weekday off uninterrupted and happens to be a productively lazy one too; a rare moment that occurs maybe once in a blue moon. What better way to wind down than with a good cup of coffee and with an entertaining companion, who happens to be a messier eater than me :). Mocha - my preference when I am not needing a strong boost of caffeine or am not in the mood for chai.
Very nice. This used to be our frequent spot, the coffee and food are lovely. Our reasons for visiting other cafes is one because they can be so popular that seating is limited and two the menu is quite small that we went through it all pretty quickly. However, we popped back in today for a fresh new look and fresh new food. Was lovely. We ordered the Kong Tower for two, we were worried it wouldn't be enough for myself and my "eats us out of the house" boyfriend but we were pleasantly surprised and absolutely love the sweet treat on top, would certainly order again. Plus, by far the best coffee around.

Went here a month or so ago. Sat in the outdoor section but not outside. Food was average. Cakes, what cakes, there wasn't any! And the coffee was just. The waitress couldn't even answer what soy milk they used without checking.
1- The Playground (It was huge! There were mushrooms, avo, eggs, spinach, steak, and bacon! I felt soooo full after eating it!!!)
2- The Kong Tower (a sharing platter for 2. The dessert on the top varies each time. When I went, it happened to be a honey flavored panna cotta. It was very creamy and smooth, but a tad too sweet, perhaps. On the bottom tier we had so much food, I didn't know where to begin. There was salmon, corn fritters, smashed avo, tomatoes, spinach, pineapple, eggs & toast). It was very pretty and very insta-worthy. I was a happy little foodie that day :D

Went here on the weekend after work. I got the brunch burger with some chips on the side & my friend got the Charlie's burger as she likes spicy food. The food was good, come out fast and presented well. The service was friendly and welcoming & we're always coming over to make sure we were alright but not too much to make it annoying!
A very nice Cafe situated in Doncaster east. I came here with my friend and they had quite a few vegetarian dishes. Being vegetarian I was delighted by this! I really enjoyed their meal. I got the wild shroom meal and their mushrooms were delicious! I loved it so much. Not everyone can make stir fried mushrooms like that. Overall I really enjoyed this meal. Thank you for the great experience!
Great place for a great coffee and delicious food. Angel Hair Pasta is fantastic and Mr Hermit (Soft shell crab burger is good too). Today I had scrambled eggs croissant and that was really nice too. I have yet to find anything that I don't like.
Awesome coffee, interesting menu, great presentation of dishes and good service. Ideal to take kids.

I've been told this place was nice so thought I'd check out out for a morning coffee.
We sat out the back which was a very nice covered outdoor area and relatively unique for the coffee places in the area.... Pity the place isn't licensed and open in the evenings as it would make a great beer garden or wine Bar for the area.
Service was quick and without fuss. Although we didn't have any food on this occasion I'd certainly be happy to come back.
Such a pleasant experience here! Will be back again. Yummy matcha latte. Partner ordered the Playground and I got the Smashin' pumpkin(+bacon). We also had the Sweet Monkey to share. Wow! Each plates was well balanced in proportion and taste, we had a generous serving of bacon and left feeling full and more than satisfied. I highly recommend you try their roti pancakes, those were a hit!
