My partner and I’s new favourite local Italian spot. We’ve been three times already and my partner is obsessed with the bruschetta. It’s served pizza style and has super fresh ingredients. We also love the Margherita pizza. But the highlight is definitely the owner/manager - so, so lovely and offered free dessert to us. Will be back ASAP! ☺️
Highest of praise to the service and staff. My food was very nice, pizza with lots of cheese. Flavoursome yet not over saturated. Compliments to staff member Drew who looked after us so well. He deserves the highest of praise for his quality of care and proactive nature.

#Beautiful I have finally found the perfect go-to dinner location for when we want a light dinner. Upon heading in to this dining location, we were welcomed with many "Ciao"s. It was at this moment, we felt we were at home. The waitress's and I believe the owner? at the dining location was VERY welcoming. This was absolutely beautiful customer service. 😍😍
On top of all of this, we were awaiting our pending surprise, the food. We were served this amazing pasta with my favourite parmesan cheese and some beautiful peppers. Next to it sat the anchovies filled pizza, dressed with some other veges. Yum!! 😋😋
Upon dwelving into this unknown territory, we dove into the inner delights of both dishes. Both which were very light on the stomach, surprisingly yet they were both very filling? Not only did they fill us right up, they also provided some amazing texture and a mix of taste.
Definitely looking forward to the next time we head into this restaurant and find other delicious dishes. #beautiful #amazing #surprised

Italian food doesn’t get much better then this. Came here on a Google Local Guide recommendation and wasn’t disappointed.
Located at the south end of Tunstall square with plenty of parking out the front this place was busy at 6.15pm on a Saturday night and stayed that way during my stay.
The lovely waiter told me the specials and took the order a few months later - the special of the day was I order which was ravioli with a deliciously tasty sauce. Cheese and garlic bread was also ordered.
Fabulous menu with a variety of choices for everyone of every age. Food came out quickly. Service was great. The table next to me had three seatings in the time I was there.
This place is wheelchair friendly. Kid friendly. Take away available.
Went for the first time and ordered the calamari entrée, bruschetta, homemade ravioli and a salad. Sizes were very generous and ingredients so fresh!! Bruschetta came out as handmade wood fired pizza and was delicious! Will definitely come back and recommend to everyone! Staff very friendly.
Came here with the family of 2 adults and a toddler. Had the garlic prawns which was nice but too little rice. Not substantial enough for $30. Too expensive for a family outing.

First time here becuase its expensive only historically not had great reviews but recently its had good feedback so its worth a try.
It was a tuesday night so only 1 table occupied however I can see why that would be nice as when it fills up it would be noisy.
Anyways we grabbed a few medium pizzas and a gnoggci frommage. The size or the pizzas it about the same as the small I grabbed from Billys Pizza Joint in Collingwood the other day. Spend the extra $ and get the large.
The pizza themselves were almost perfect. Crisp crust looked great but the base was soggy. So either the oven hadnt had time to preheat properly or it was too hot. So a few missed points. If your doing really simply minimalist pizzas which showcase the dough and ingredients they have to be spot on.
The gnocci wasnt store bought was nice and light. The frommage sauce was spot on (although i like more blue cheese in mine as a personal preferance).
The pizza names annoy me a bit. They area bit fiddly to pronounce. Make it easy for your customers. Oh and they need a 'meat' pizza. Its a fav our our girls but ine doesnt like salami so the salami pizzas didnt gi down well with her. Just a suggestion
Anyway I happily eat there again and glad we tried it. Hopefully their other pasta dishes are as good cause that would win me over.
We thoroughly enjoyed our date night. Food was full of flavour and the services were attentive. We had the booking via Zomato and were welcomed by the waitress. Order the our Italian routine- a plate of pasta, one medium size pizza, a garden green and a well dressed up dessert. Without much waiting for our dish to arrive although it was busy at the time in the restaurant. Loved my dining experience here. I believed we will be back often. Keep the good job guys!
We ate here recently as a family, the pizzas were great! Also ordered the antipasto platter which was okay but not great. Staff were attentive. The acoustics are not good once the restaurant fills up. Recommend making a booking! Will be back :)
Visited Saporito on a Wednesday night with my grandma and we were warmly greeted. Our meals were the specials of the day which included Barramundi with roasted vegetables and a Fettuccini with eye fillet home made meatballs. Both meals were delicious. Service was warm and attentive. The restaurant soon got packed and for a Wednesday night that's a good sign.

Saporito is a busy Italian eatery located in the Tunstall Square Shopping Centre in Doncaster East.
It is a modest restaurant with casual, but modern decor. As you enter you are met by a few super close tables in the window, followed by a very comfy black leather sofa that stretches the length of the wall. This is then paired with the traditional square wooden tables and chairs at each setting. I'd recommend booking (and if you're not a "skinny minny" you may want to request a table on the couch because there's barely room to pull out one's chair at the window tables.
As restaurants go it's definitely on the noisy side (which is made worse when the chef starts hammering into his dough and steak) - so if there's a hearing-impaired person in your party, I'd avoid the Saturday night.
The food was absolutely delicious. Our table ordered the Garlic & Mozzarella Focaccia for entree, the Vitello alla Veneta, and the house specials of Lamb Shanks & Fettuccini with Spinach Meatballs. Desserts were Lemon Tart, Home Made Gelato, and the Apple & Rhubarb Pie. All were generous servings, and delicious. For those with a sensitive palate, they also offer several Vegetarian and Gluten Free options.
They had a good selection of non-alcoholic beverages, but those with a sweet palate may find the wine list a bit narrow.
The service was friendly and very attentive without being intrusive. The only real disappointment was being given the bill while still enjoying our dessert at 9:00pm – quite surprising for a Saturday night but after checking with staff - 9:30pm is normal closing time.
Although not the cheapest night out (~$150 for a table of 3), overall I had a pleasant, albeit short, dining experience with fabulous food and service. If you're after somewhere to catch-up with friends where you can have a D&M while nibbling cake and sipping coffee's late into the night, this isn't the place for you. However, if you’ve got young kids (which I think is their demographic), and want a night out, but still be able to get the kids to bed early then I would highly recommend Saporito.

Nice local family restaurant. Although food is on the pricier side, all portions seem to be huge (almost too big in fact). Everything was well cooked, fresh and tasty and the lovely young waitress on shift was a great help and very understanding. Atmosphere is lacking a little bit, though that may have been since it was a Wednesday night that we visited. Attached photo was a special on the night- Eye fillet on a bed of mashed potato with mushroom sauce and mixed veggies.
Good local restaurant. Food is what you would expect, pizza was tasty, and the staff were very friendly and attentive. Great place for the family and to take your parents out to.

Best Gnocci. I was recommended to come here by a local and have never been disappointed. The Gnocci Formaggi is the best gnocci I have ever had! I have continued to eat here and take away and have never had a bad meal. The food is always spot on!

Bellissimo. Love this place. Excellent Italian restaurant. Service is first class and the food is excellent. The Bruschetta is the best and almost a meal on its own. Steak was perfectly cooked and the seafood was delicious. The staff make sure you are confortable and always looked after. We have been twice and had a great experience each time.

Probably the best gnocchi I've ever had, and my parents-in-law are Italian and very good cooks. Service was a touch slow, but I'll definitely be back more than once.

Pizza and Pasta the true Italian style!!. I have eaten at Saporito's many a time. The food is top class, clean crisp flavors, well presented with decent portions.
The place is clean, with the kitchen in full view, a smaller place with nice charm, although it gets rather busy during the weekends.
If you really want the place to yourself go on a tuesday wednesday.
Service in the past has been ok, but saporito have clearly taken past reviews to heart and have employed completely new wait staff, and service has improved 100 fold.
This is one of Melbourne's undiscovered restaurant gems, that cares about its food, and of its customers opinions.

The best Italian food in Doncaster and templestowe, we went last night for the first time. We dine out frequently, THIS IS OUR NEW PLACE TO GO. The Steak you could cut with a butter knife. Pizza best I’ve EVER EVER had. We will be back ASAP.

Had takeaway marinara pasta, which was full of seafood (Very tasty) and thin crust pizzas, just like in Rome. Definitely on my return list.
