I really don't like shopping, so a recent trip to Doncaster saw me needing to fortify myself with a big cappuccino and some breakfast first. The Canadian pancakes seemed like they were worth the gamble, and they were lovely pancakes, they came with maple syrup and bacon, although I would have preferred more maple syrup and less bacon, but that's just me. As well as sitting outside the restaurant in the middle of the shops, you can also choose the quieter seating inside, which was a good start to the day. The barrista also did a lovely and seasonal decoration on my coffee, I will try to add the photo when I can. My companion had a bacon and egg wrap which was also reported as a tasty way to eat bacon and eggs.
The coffee was the best I have ever had. The artwork on the coffee was marvellous.The customer service and the behaviour of the staff was very polite. the quality of the food is absolutely EXCELLENT!
Very fresh food and the best coffee in the Doncaster. Very friendly staff and polite. It worth to spend money in shingle Inn Doncaster. Also, the burgers are very delicious.
This was my first visit to any of the Shingle Inn cafes. The decor at the Doncaster cafe is warm and inviting. I went in today to have a capuccino and was greeted by friendly staff. I sat in a large, cormfortable arm chair and enjoyed my cup of coffee.
Unfortunately, the coffee was rather lacking in quality, although the foam art was fairly good. I am yet to eat here, so I cant comment on the food.
Aesthetically this place is great, but the coffee wasnt as good as some of the other cafes here.
Very good ambience! The canadian bacon pancake, orange n almond mini loaf and their caffeine are my favourite. Amazing savoury n sweet combination of the bacon pancake. Differently beautiful pictures on the top of coffee, can feel the passion of the coffee maker. I would like to come back again for the bacon pancake n coffee.

The latte was beautifully made. Chicken avocado sandwich and fish and chips are freshly made. Service is very courtesy and attentive. Especially the male manager, he recognised regular customer and displayed care through his customer service. Sometime we needs to show support to our local small business. They are not perfect, but they have heart in their business. Respect.
We had a high tea there on Sunday afternoon. Not as busy as Laurent in the other end of Westfield. So it was more relaxing.
The coffee was nice, which was creamy and bitter. Lime mint julep was outstanding and refreshing. The texture was fluffy on top and with crushed ice in the bottom.
Scone, sandwich, and petite sweet were just ordinary today.

My Grandmother worked in the original store on Queen Street Brisbane over 50 years ago and now I'm seeing my childhood cake shop in so many places and the mini orange cupcake and chocolate cupcakes are EXACTLY like I've been having for the last 20 years!
A really homely cute environment with lovely staff - if I worked here I'd be the size of a house as the cakes are truly something special (LOTS of butter)!!!!
They did an OK coffee but I'm an almond fan these days and it wasn't available but they are more traditional in their milk based coffees and teas. Great spot for children as well as if you want them to behave they will here!
Love the service! The owners and stuff have really created a culture that is family-like. Coffee is B+ if you're fan of strong texture. The chicken sandwich is definitely a MUST! So good.
