Review Big Apple Bakery - Donnybrook

Decent size bakery with heap of hot; pies, sausage roll, ham cheese croissant and cold pre packed food e.g sushi, sandwiches. At the time it was packed as there was a party at the local park, staff struggling to serve chips and wedges, our was lukewarm.

Great bakery to stop at when heading to and from down south! The range they provide is great - everything from sweet to savoury and overall nice tasting food. I like that they provide a decent range of vegetarian options as well. This is something that bakeries usually struggle with and only provide 1 option - usually the classic spinach and ricotta roll.

Great classic country bakery with a big variety is savoury food and sweet treats available.

This was the best curry beef pie I've ever had. It was so delicious, just the right balance of meat and gravy. Also the bottom crust pastry is perfect. Not too thick, just right!

Sadly this was as close as I got to the bakery after hearing & reading so many great reviews. Next road trip - 1st stop this bakery!

A great country bakery with very reasonable prices. Extensive selection of sweet products (mostly slices) and hot savoury products (with many flavours of pie). Meat pies were $5 for a 10x12x4cm pie. We ordered steak and pepper (pictured), and steak and mushroom pies and they were tasty with visible meat and a thick gravy. Tomato sauce sachet was 30c. We finished with a bee-sting slice ($3.40) which was mild, sweet and tasty.

Really nice bakery with very tasty food. The pies are awesome. I had the chicken and veg for $5 and my partner had the steak and mushroom for $5. Not cheap but good value. We don't mind paying that amount for pies that taste so fantastic. Full of good tasty, healthy ingredients and exactly the right temperature to eat it down and not burn your mouth. They have a great range of bread and cakes as well and a nice area at the front with tables and chairs, to eat the beautiful food and watch Donnybrook life pass by. Recommended by these tourists.

One of the nicest potato pies i have had in a while, so good that it didnt need any sauce to make it better. Definitely worthy of a visit if you're passing by!
