The staff at Mrs Sippy truly know what it means to treat their guests as if it is their own home. Our group of friends are regulars as it is the one place where you are guaranteed to have a good time. Great food, impeccable service with funky music and an elite social crowd which makes for a great atmosphere. Highly recommend Mrs Sippy, especially people visiting Australia it is a must.
A huge thank you to Kate! She was absolutely amazing to deal with when placing my booking and has now gone above and beyond in sorting out my birthday lunch. You are an absolute gem Kate and as long as you are there I can not recommend this venue highly enough especially for the Saturday brunch xx thank you
The Old Fashioned's were on point! Yum yum yum yum yum yum yum
The scotch fillet steak was high quality and my wife's crab pasta was pretty tasty too. While a bit expensive (it's Double Bay so duh), it was still good.
Dined here because of the Butter X Mrs Sippy collaboration and definitely wasn't disappointed! The fried chicken was just as good as their original Surry Hills outlet. Juicy, tender with a crisp coating and the O.G. hot sauce was just the right amount of spiciness. Sides were corn, laces, pickles, all great. A fantastic addition to Double Bay dining scene.
Fun day to sit out on the street and share a bottle of wine as well as one of their cheeseburgers on the street. Nice to people watch in a great area of Sydney
I love this place! You would think since it is a partly bar, their food wouldn't be that good! But let me tell you it is pretty damn good. During afternoon, once or twice I had a takeaway coffee too and turned out not bad either! Come here for drinks, food and some fun night or if during the day, grab their coffee:)
Super funky spot right in the heart of double bay. Enjoyed their food very much; I was warned of the portion of my meal, and unfortunately failed to meet the challenge (it made a fantastic lunch the next day). The decor is cute, with cosy tables and a beautiful outdoor section also. Perfect for a more intimate date night!
This must be where everyone who used to go to Ivy now frequents. It's just as chic, pretentious and stylish with a fun bar area. I really enjoyed the atmosphere but be warned it's quite loud so don't expect to be able to have an intimate conversation with anyone. The restaurant section in the front is far more subdued and the staff were rather lovely. Pizza was good, pasta was good, nothing to write home about but no complaints either and prices reasonable (in general but even more so for Double Bay).
A 2% surcharge for any type of card payment however (eftpos included) is all kinds of bullsssht. In what world to people carry cash these days?
Behind Mrs Sippy’s witty name lies not only a stylish restaurant, but also a chilled out open-air bar that is the perfect space to enjoy some summer cocktails like the Aperol Spritzes we indulged in. After our pre-dinner drinks, we moved back into the restaurant space to try out some dishes from Mrs Sippy’s new executive chef Andreanne Pelletier, who has Asian and Middle Eastern influences woven into her modern menu. We started off with some freshly shucked Oysters, with the small but plump flesh paired with a refreshing citrus mignonette sauce and shiso, a strong Japanese herb.
Came here with my friends on a Friday night and amongst us covered off half the menu with pizza, burgers, chicken and salads. Everything was amazing including the service. We will be back!
They stole my jacket. I called them and they said they didn't have it. I'm so sad. Service was good. But do not leave your jacket lying around!!! It will be stolen. They love good jackets there's ♥️

Mrs Sippy is a chic bar in the heart of Sydney's Double Bay. The name might sound American but don't let that fool you into thinking its an American or Western type bar. Think modern and stylish with Italian vibes. We are arrived on a busy Friday night and we were quite surprised to see so many people out and about. It seems Double Bay has experienced a bit of a resurgence since the controversial lockout laws have come into place, and the venues here are benefiting!
Mrs Sippy is great place where to relax during the week and have a great time on weekends. Love the atmosphere, great and friendly service and very tasty food. Everybody can choose their favourite from the menu as it's creative with awesome combinations.
Mrs Sippy is definitely my favourite place and every time I look forward to go there.
Season your palate with delightful share plates at one of the local favourites for trendy vibes, good food and great drinks. Start with the moreton bay bug sliders, which were quite tasty but could’ve been better with more filling. Continue with more vibrant dishes of varied combinations of flavours and textures including the seraed tuna crostini, ancients grains salad, and finally the delectable pavlova.
Mrs Sippy, a smallish Bar Restaurant from the outside and wide open spaces with a opened courtyard in the back. Located in the heart of double bay, this place is another addition to the Suburb which is constantly being updated.
With fresh seasonal menus, I was one of the first to try their new winter menu. Tasty, filling yet still light enough to be enjoyed with drinks, the new menu is defiantly something you can have a few drinks with friends or family.
Always updating their menus to keep the customers coming back and tasting offering which will allow for repeats and maybe a few times a week if your a local.
Wonderful wine bar with lively atmosphere, perfect for a catchup or even a more intimate one. The food is delicately prepared and delicious! They've also introduced their own wines which are the perfect compliment to the meal.
What do a bunch of foodies do on a Friday night in Sydney after a hard week of sipping the city’s best coffees and sampling decadent dishes in its best restaurants? Why, we all head to out on another food adventure, of course! When food-obsessives get together to share their common passion for all that’s edible, it’s a free-for-all of tasting plates, camera angles, and Instagram frenzy. The venue for this culinary geek-out session is Mrs. Sippy in Double Bay and the place is alive in true Eastern Suburbs Friday night style.
Mrs Sippy always brings back fond Friday night memories, even though they are memories I can hardly remember I was really excited to head to double bay to try their new menu.
Formally renowned as a booze bar, Mrs Sippy can now definitely stand its own ground as a dining destination. The seared tuna and wood roasted whole chicken were the stand out dishes for me. The chicken broke off the bone and melted in your mouth and was perfectly complimented with the sauce and baby leeks. Likewise with the seared tuna, there is something about aoli that speaks to my heart.
The quinoa salad with beetroot mousse tasted just as good as it looked and was the standout salad for me on the night.
But don't think for a second that Mrs Sippy has let their alcohol game slip, their cocktail and wine list is still dangerously delicious.
Great place that is filled with local residents and has a nice atmosphere. The food is pub style with a nice variety. Customer service is very attentive. I highly recommend the Mrs sippy cheeseburger and the chocolate ganache dessert.

This is a trendy bar/resturant in the Eastern Suburbs. . So you can just image was the clientele would be like 😁 Service was pretty slow. .. Even when all we ordered at the time was a beer. The mains was delicious but the desserts where just pretty to look at. I recommend the sashimi salad. ✌ @foodiesguidetosydney
Went out on a Wednesday night and had the steak and broccolini. Steak was cooked to perfection and greens were awesome.
The fondant for dessert was amazing.. best i've ever had!
Best bit was that I received 40% off my bill using Clipp! Will definitely come again.
Went on a Wednesday for dinner to try the new $12 steak promo. The steak was delish! Cooked to perfection and such good quality! Service was fast and I washed it all done with a lovely barossa Shiraz.
I would highly recommend the Wednesday special!
We will 100% be back to take advantage again!

It’s the original small bar in town, and unlike its inner-city counterparts, this one isn’t hidden away. Mrs Sippy spills out into Bay Street for ample opportunity of being seen. Très Double Bay. Aptly, we commence with cocktails; mine combining watermelon, mint, vodka, pinot noir and my favourite fairytale – the Red Riding Hood ($18) is big and bad (in the best possible way). The menu is made up of entrées, mains and share plates, although I’d recommend sharing everything - especially the Chicken Liver Parfait ($18) ... ...a kind of fluffy pâté that goes superbly with apricot chutney and crisp sourdough. Seared Scallops ($21) could be harder to share because they’re so good, bouncy and fresh with spiced cauliflower and almonds. Marinated Tuna ($24) is pretty but a little flavourless – lashings of horseradish and beetroot help. It’s guilt-free, but if you’re feeling bad, the Wagy
Spectacular Fries. Listen. Order whatever you want, but get a side of fries. They are so damn good. Like McDonalds good, but without the heavy grease and regret.
Previous experiences here have been wonderful however we went here for dinner last night for our mothers birthday and we a little disappointed. Service was very good however we felt slightly rushed when our mains came out five minutes after the starter. I had the prawns which were delicious but my sisters had the crab risotto which they thought was too sloppy and very cheesy.
Perfect hang out for with yer buddies. Really liked the space, particularly out back.
Interesting enough wine list and the staff were good enough to pour half glasses so we could sample a few different drops.
The food is sharing style and has enough for most people to experiment. We had confit duck, crispy pig ear and a few other bits and pieces that were hoovered up.
Went there for a drink and a bite. Great decor, service and food. There are a few places to hangout.
Home away from home. Mrs Sippy is my local, it has a great vibe, I usually find myself sitting between grannys with perfect blow waves, young it crowd kids and swanky businessmen (throw in a few stunning Viviens models on top of that is it's just next door). My coffee is consistently perfect and I usually find myself hanging out for hours on end. Mrs Sippy have great comfort food (steaks, pumpkin soup) alongside easy to eat salads and nibbles. Day turns into night and there is a great bar vibe tucked away out the back. The staff are cruisy and relaxed, yet attentive - a mix of hipsters and eclectic muso/model/slashies.
Everyone seems to have a story about Mrs Sippy!
Such a clever mash-up! The cocktails are delicious and I mean... who doesn’t love some fried chicken? Especially when it’s from Butter. Order the mrs sippy martini!
Great local bar with plenty of good vibes and fun times. Even more awesome now that Butter has set up for a few months, so you can get your groove on whilst eating delicious fried chicken and sipping on some cocktails! Worth dropping in on any night for a fun time!
A must-visit place while in Sydney! I went in with my girlfriends Sunday afternoon and we tried the bottomless brunch in the courtyard! It was Mediterranean style with Chandon and we ended up staying for the entire afternoon! Will be back on a Saturday to hit the dance-floor soon, love this bar.
liked the atmosphere, ate an early dinner and listened tot he DJ play some funky music, we danced . Staff are on the ball and helpful. I left near 9pm
Brilliant pop up with Butter. Delicious food and drinks. I highly recommend a visit to Mrs Sippy. Great people watching at the weekend
Wednesday night, $10 Steak and fantastic service. We have been a couple of times now and the service has been outstanding. The steak with red wine butter, cooked perfectly.
Very nice place, and nice drinks. The cocktails are around $20 each.
