Review L'aqua - Dromana

A 3.2 rating pretty much nails it. L’Aqua is good sized modern cafe that goes back quite a way. Great to see the folding window doors on the street for those really balmy days and nights. Good also to see our tables on the street itself. My morning coffee here was pretty good. Strong, robust and flavoursome. Among the best I’ve had in the area. Service was polite and efficient too. I liked the look of the food menu as well. I’d happily return going by this experience.

We had lunch here on our way back to Melbourne from weekend getaway at Mornington Peninsula. The foods were delicious and services were great. The chilli mussels as entree with a kick of spicy really helped to spice up the tommy for the main. The mixed grill was a must try, porterhouse on the hot stone was excellent idea. Would love to come back if we are in in the area.

RUDE SLOW AND AVERAGE FOOD THE OWNER SHOULD SELL THE BUSINESS TO SOME WHO WANTS TO BE THERE!!! Went to dinner and 2 of 3 meals came out after 40min wait and had ask for the last one, which eventually came out after we had finished our meals!! Yeah your busy but if your staff can't handle the pressures of the 40 tables get new staff!! Visited again for breakfast, service was terrible staff sleeping with there eyes open!! Poached eggs, what can I say, they should be called cold hard boiled eggs!! Owner was just rude considering the last order came out first and the rest of the order came out 15min later and we asked as we where still missing two breakfasts, His response to our request was I ONLY HAVE TWO HANDS!! Really !!!! And just to top it off they tried to charge us for an additional orange juice which was bought out as an error!! I can't tell you my disappointment with this place. If your ever in Dromana DONT VISIT L'AQUA

What a place to eat! Fantastic for the kids just check out this playground. The food is so delicious and service is just amazing. Would I be coming here again? Absolutely! I think we have found our new go to place to eat. Do yourself a favor and experience this place. I Definitely recommend this place.

Enjoyed lunch here, staff were polite and even made my son's favorite dessert ...banana split as a request for his birthday even though it was not on the menu, food was delicious and great place for all ages.

Food is very slow. Get more staff in the kitchen or get a waitress to help 🙄😡 worth the wait though

Went there today. Kids meals were $15! No drinks included. And no kids milk shake on the menu so cost $20 plus just for kids! I ordered a chicken burger- that was over $20 and it had a cheap burger bun and chips no salad. I could have ordered it from a burger/ fish and chip shop! And my sons meal had a hair in it! I don't care if the place has a kids play area- it wasn't worth it! And it was hot inside!

Let's face it, if this place didn't have a playground it would go out of business... And you pay for it too - $15 for a kids meal that doesn't even fill them up - and the price, of course, is cunningly left off the menu. I ordered the calamari for $24 and received, at best, an entree sized meal. Hubby Ordered a medium rare steak with mushroom sauce and it came out cold, medium well, slathered in gravy and a tiny pot of mushroom sauce on the side... hmmmm. He rarely complains be he went so far as to say that the steak had been pre cooked and simply re-heated for service. Staff were lovely at least.

I really want to like this place as the atmosphere and interior are so nice, however the service we received and a lot of the food was greatly underwhelming, to not have wait staff attend a table of 13 all night is quite poor and to not even check on how the food is or if we wanted more drinks is mind boggling, not to mention some wait staff seeming more like we were a burden than actually being welcoming. Considering things like pasta dishes coming out without cheese and stone grill dishes not having their sauces, not to mention a bug in food at a place like this we're shocked to say the least. To be fair, some of the food came out looking amazing and as expected, however with that only being 3 dishes out of 13 that's just not good enough. I'd consider coming again, but there'd need to be a massive turnaround in service for that to occur.

Great breakfast. Crispy bacon 🥓. Good coffee. Lovely service. Purchased cakes to take away. I would definitely return. The gelato bar looks great!

Children friendly which is a big bonus.They have a indoor playground & if they don't want to play they can colour in.The food is yummy & the waiting staff are at your call.Very friendly atmosphere.Great place to eat at on the peninsula

Going on 2 years ago before my missus had our son we called in here for lunch and was not a dull moment.. the staff were great all made you feel welcome and the food was sensational, could not fault it.. Returned tonight just as we thought hey how bout that stone grill for dinner and sure enough once again the staff were amazing, the food was terrific and the owner who had so much time for our 2 year old was just wonderful.... will be dropping by regularly for a feed.. a our sin said when we got home, ice cream, ice cream!!! Thatnks to all the staff tonight was just great cheers

Went for lunch yesterday. Quite a nice meal. Waitress seemed in 'another world' When we paid for our meal we noticed there was a Specials Board. I told her that we weren't told about Specials Board and that we would have had the calamari. Her reply ...oh sorry! Not worth a trip there again probably!

Beautiful food, served fast , plated up beautifully presented - beware the steak tho lol! Hubby didn't read anything past the words scotch fillet, and was very very upset to find it served on a bed of purée pumpkin lol!! He hates pumpkin!! Lol!! - should of read the rest of the words after 'steak' hahaha! Great night great food

We had chill mussels and a tasting stone plate. Nearly all the mussels were empty and the tasting plate had shrimps instead of prawns and ridiculously overpriced. Never again.

Lovely lunch for 3, Meal excellent, staff great, all good even had the sun shinning for us defiantly back there again.

$37 got me 3 small piece of meat on a stone with about 30 fries and 12 lettuce leaves, a quarter of a tomato and 2 slices of cucumber- waitstaff were friendly and helpful- when they were around, or not rushing back to talk to eachother and ignoring the customers. $15 for 6 nuggets and fries for the kid- which took almost as long as the mains to come out- come on guys, it's deep fried in about 5 minutes... When a female friend came back from the rest room and stated to my wife- if you don't need to go, them don't- that about summed it up. Has massive potential, and could be awesome if it was managed well and priced right- but it just simply isn't there. Until the sign out front says "under new management", go elsewhere. You'll get better value for money at dozens of establishments on the peninsula.

Awesome service and excellent consistent meals that don't leave you disappointed, from breakfast to dinner also a must try is the chili muscles and saganaki, amazing...thanks guys 👍👍👍😊😊😊

Great food, wonderful service, great place to bring young children

Went in for a very late lunch, where son and daughter-in-law had their stonegrill, and we, the older generation, had bruscetta and calamari. Everyone enjoyed their food. The calamari was excellent. The service was good as was the person who waited on us, happy and willing to provide service with a smile. Will definitely drop in again when we go to that part of the world.

Always large portion great food and friendly stuff. 5 stars
