Review Kacha Thai Restaurant - Dromana

Ooh the food is fresh and delicious and the staff were great. The location is clean and inviting the only issue was the birthday song, the restaurant plays a birthday song and they didnt play it for our group of 8 when they bought the cake, so we asked them to please play it. When it played it wasn't as loud as we normally hear it, we could just hear it. However later in the evening there was another group that celebrated a birthday and the song was played so loud the whole restaurant turned to see who's birthday it was; this was the only inconsistent thing during the night. Other than that we will go again and again and again!!

Spot on local Thai. Entrees and mains were all good. Nicely presented and with good flavour. Our party of 10 had great usual standard dishes and enjoyed them all. Service was pleasant and charming and the place was also decked out nicely. Conclusion: it’s a very good local Thai. Recommended.

The food was very average. We had several types of dishes and the meat was very chewy. The Pork special was probably the worst. Was very disappointed considering all the reviews said this place was very good. We ordered take away.

Cute little place, although the restaurant was empty, it was busy with take away orders, we ordered the seafood Pad Thai, it was pretty average - however, it was packed with seafood which was good!

Amazing food!! Full of flavour. I ate here recently and the food was so so delicious. The service was very slow due to so many customers but it was worth the wait. I had a beef stir-fry which literally melted in my mouth. Yummy yummy food. Highly recommend

LOVE the pad thai, I get this every time! The best pad thai on the peninsula and prices are very reasonable, a lot cheaper than most places around! The service is always lovely too! Definitely recommend.

5 of us had a superb meal. Staff lovely and food fantastic. I had jungle veg curry which was quite hot, just as I like it. Roti was delicious. Shared entrees including chicken & prawn dumplings and curry puffs which were awesome. The place was very busy for a Wed night and does a lot of takeaway. Prices reasonable, BYO. Note: no gluten free meals available. Good choices for vegetarians.

Very good food. Plus the staff were very helpful and assisted me when veganising a dish. Super tasty, but believe me when I say their version of hot... is super hot. Would order mild next time.

Not terrible but not great either. The spring rolls & curry puffs tasted like they had been frozen for quite some time. We also ordered a chicken noodle dish with very little chicken or vegetables however it did have a nice level of spice and good flavour.

This restaurant, may not be flash looking or grand inside, that's what let's it down, but the food is superb, the food is fresh and well priced, the owners are friendly and into the Thai lifestyle. They always were so busy over the year, but the fact they close a few times a year for weeks on end, lets it down, but the food is awesome, worth picking up take away, otherwise book in early.

We came in sunday night for dinner at 7pm and the two ladies working were swamped! I felt so horrible I nearly got up and served some tables because I like the place so much. Sat down at 7pm got served at about half past and our meals came out about 20 mins later, we were happy to wait because you were running around like a headless chook trying to serve customers to the best of your abilities and I have to say you are excellent at what you do, you are friendly, you smile when under the pump, and you have such grace to you that I couldn't help myself but leave a comment that would make you smile and the food was devine! Big thumbs up from our table!

This restaurant has very friendly people, who make great Thai food, fantastic service. The duck curry is delicious! Will definitely be a regular place to eat for me.

Okay. Average. Clean presentation. Service friendly. Servings small. Sweet and sour chicken was a disappointment. Pieces of vegetables small. Fresh tomato and cucumber included which seemed weird. Chicken was salty. Satay noodles okay but had to hunt hard to locate the chicken.
Will not hurry back.

Blown away. Called into Kacha Thai on a Sunday evening without high expectations. We started with the chicken dumplings which were just amazing, and our mains were both absolutely delicious. Probably the vest Thai meal that I've ever had and all at amazing value.

Don't bother if you have a dietary requirement! old owners catered to requirements, current owners don't.

Open Sunday nights. Driving passed 4 other Thai restaurants along Nepean Hwy from Rye, not all were opened Sunday for dinner. Glad we decided to stop & dine-in at Kacha Thai. Service was particularly efficient, friendly & genuine waitress. Loved the Steamed Chicken Dumplings as was recommended as the special for the day, much more than the Gyoza. Fresh & tasty Thai Beef Salad & Singapore Noodles. Very accommodating with extra freshly cut chilli on the side to adjust heat of our meals. Left with Very satisfied bellies!

Kacha Thai......AWSOME!!. My partner and I have bee to Kacha Thai 3 times now, we have since introduce family and friends to this amazing restaurant. They have all said that they will certainly return.
The spices, flavours, are all homogenised to produce lovely delicate fine dining.
We do a lot of travelling through out Victoria, and eaten at many other Thai eateries, but nothing matches Kacha for the friendly staff, excellent service, bright interior and very value for money. What is even better it is in Dromana, making it a local favourite.
Looking to forward to the big plate of yummy baked fish in ginger sauce. Marty and Jill
