Great value meals. Nothing posh about the decor, but very friendly and attentive staff. Amazing cheesy garlic bread. $14 for a bottle of sauv blanc that was very acceptable to drink. Seniors meals and daily specials. Member prices if you join for $20 a year - well worth it if you live in the area. Menu is typical pub fare plus plenty of specials each day. Calamari was lovely and tender, and other diners on our table really enjoyed roast lamb, grilled chicken with lemon veloute, and curried sausages.
People galore at popular local club. The Peninsula Club is the phoenix arising from the local RSL's ashes. A joint partnership with the Western Bulldogs football team since 2010, it has revived the otherwise ailing returned service personnel club, albeit as a poker machine venue *sigh*.
Anyone can join for $20 which entitles you to 10% off meals as well as a monthly special like half price meals or a free drink. In December, that was a free 187ml bottle of white or red wine with mains. The venue does good counter meals, with a special seniors' menu where all the classics like lambs brains or liver and onions are $13.
The standard menu is not much more - five of us had hearty dinners for about $140 all up including two steaks dishes, a salt and pepper calamari, a Greek lamb salad (great salad, slightly tough meat) and a seafood salad, plus beer and hot thick chips. The scallop & prawn surf sauce was addictively good - l had to push the plate to the other side of the table to stop dunking various carbohydrates into it.
Service is at the counter with meals brought to the table. The staff are mostly young but all enthusiastic - the young lady working the bar accelerated our late side order of potato chips while we waited for our main orders. It's a good community location (gaming aside...). Hopefully more people will come to the new outdoor deck than to the one armed betting bandits inside.
Great Parmas! I find myself frequenting the peninsula club purely for the parmas and the beef burger. The food here is always on point and the staff are lovely. I probably wouldn't recommend PC for a romantic dinner- the atmosphere is probably not the best, but, if it's a great Parma and a mean burger that you're looking for then I would definitely recommend. The pricing is also reasonable
GREAT FOOD.FRIENDLY STAFF. On the 4/11/13 my family and I arrived at The Peninsula Club for lunch for my fathers 94th birthday.
Immediately we were made to feel very welcome by the staff. All of them wishing my father a Happy Birthday. The orders for the day were a Fishermans Basket and Parmigianas.
Wow! Very quick friendly service, the food was beautiful. You could not put anymore on the Fishermans Basket if you tried!! And the parmas were cooked to perfection with a lovely array of veges. I highly recommend it and loof forward to my next meal there!!!
Fresh and Tasty Meals. Absolutley fantastic. Value for money. What a wonderfull change for the better. We have a group on a monthley basis. Thanks to connie the chef . Wonderfull keep up the beautifull tasty meals.
Outstanding value. Have had three meals here over the last few weeks, and all I can say is that they do the simple things very well, great value, good service, all the right things if you are looking for a simple night out with not to much fuss. Also reading the history on the walls from the old RSL is a bonus.
Great value and great menu. Had lunch today at the Peninsula Club in Dromana. Wasn't expecting much, but the menu is great value and quite extensive; something for everyone. And the wine list is about 4 pages long with prices from $16 to $50 - cheap chardonnay through to french champagne.
Between the six of us, we enjoyed calimari, some pastas, a pizza, a chicken breast and a perfectly done medium rare steak. Absolutely no complaints from us - and sensational prices.
Excellent Experience. The food is all beautiful and freshly prepared by the fantastic chefs. The parma and the salt and pepper calamari are my personal favorites; the carbonara and flathead tails are also really good.
The staff are all friendly and only too happy to help any customers.
I would definitely recommend this venue for your next dinner out.
Went with a local - was quite impressed. Had dinner on Friday night and i was quite impressed.

all the meals i saw looked quite good. Wine list was really extensive and really good prices. great value.
Hidden Gem. Very Unexpected.. Met up with some friends from down the beach who go to the Peninsula Club alot. It was really good.
We drank & ate (& drank some more!) and the food & service was excellent.
It's got a real club feel, and the food prices are Very reasonable - and were excellent. I had the surf n turf (great) and m friends had the Pninsula Burger, a yummy pasta & an Asian salmon - it was a great night and very unexpected.
Highly recommend.
Corned Beef & Mash. Wow! I love corned beef & mash and order when I can - the Peninsula Club's dish was up there for taste, quantity & presentation. Great white sauce which was just right.
Highly recommend! And good price too $22.
Impressed. Thought we would give Peninhsula club a go after positive feedback left by others. Was not dissapionted.staff were very welcoming.Kids pizza was home made and and kids calamari was also fresh and not frozen out of a box. Both our meals were very well presented and tasted reaally good.Would definately reccommend to give a go
Peninsula Club. As a long time member of the Dromana/Redhill RSL club, to say I was dissapointed at the club folding would be putting it mildly.
After much work by many people the Western Bulldogs football club came to the resue. The renovations to the club rooms by the Western Bulldogs has improved the internal appearance of the building without losing the public bar and lounge areas of the past. It was particularly pleasing to see many of the past bar staff were retained, with a few very efficient new ones.
The Dromana/Redhill RSL was always well known for the quality of meals, it is pleasing to see that this has not dropped off, the meals are highly recommended.
The only negative observation from this Cat supporter in a Bulldogs kennel is that the horrible wooden chairs in the dining area need replacing, but all good things take time to happen.
Thanks to the Western Bulldogs for establishing a good, friendly club in Dromana and I urge locals and visitors to area to visit there and support the club.

Mick. Visited the Peninsula Club for the first time yesterday we were welcomed with very pleasant staff who were very helpful and all had a smile, the food was great I had the Surf N' Turf steak that was delicious and cooked to perfection and plenty big enough - good value. The club has been renovated inside and is very clean looking, the TAB area soon to have many additional TV's also looks good. All in all a very nice place eat out and the gaming and TAB rooms are well set out - I became a member to get the extra benefits available - I will be returning again soon.
Great Meal. Visited the Peninsula Club for the first time this week it has a great atmosphere and puts on a really good meal. I had the Chicken Parma which was lovely would highly recommend it. Will definately frequent again next time I am down Dromana way.
