Great place for dinner. Had many great meals here and nothing disappoints. My wife is vietnamese and very fussy about where she eats - she loves it. The food is natural rather than artificial and doesn't seem to have any added MSG. The restaurant is clean and the owner is very hospitable.
The food is more from central Vietnam (Hue) rather than from Saigon (now Ho Chi Minh City) so it is less like the the vietnamese from Cabramatta. Some people may think that some of the dishes are bland but they may not be aware that with Vietnamese food you add extra sauces or fresh chilli to give it the taste you like. Highly recommended.
•Always a nice place to go for a quick bite
•Seafood laksa - soup flavour is good and not ton salty or filled with MSG, needs some vegetables or some greens, looks to plain,
•Prawn & pork rice paper roll - there are 3 but we accidentally ate one and forgot to take photo! These are made fresh before they open and have limited supply, make sure you get there early! And the peanut/ chilli sauce is nice and warm. Perfect.
•Crispy lemongrass pork chop w/ tomato rice - delicious delicious delicious! Pork is flavoursome and not chewy, rice well portioned, could do with some more vegetables
•Overall, a nice place to go to for a quiet night out, plenty of selection of other foods available
Always fresh, healthy and tasty Vietnamese food, especially for the Drummoyne area. Very casual dining, good service. There noodle soups are perfect for a winters day and bun noodles are great and refreshing in summer.
Very signature viet food in a very quiet location. Great take away after work. Still highly recommended although ur visit was not very enjoyable cos one couple allowed and even encouraged their kids screaming all the time.
Pho beef noodle soup came out steaming hot, nicely balanced sweet and clear beef soup, although the beef slices could be a lot thinner. Lemongrass beef vermicelli noodle salad was fresh, however the fish sauce did not have enough kick (could have been more fishy). Overall, a pretty good authentic neighbourhood joint for simple no frills Viet food.
Fantastic and Fresh. This is a great little Vietnamese restaurant on Lyons Rd at Drummoyne. I personally find it perfect for a mid-week takeaway. The inside of the restaurant is also quite nice if you prefer dining in. The highlight for me is the freshness of the ingredients and the taste that comes with that. I have been to Vietnam and the flavours here are very authentic. The papaya salad is a personal favourite. No need to go all the way to Cabramatta or Marrickville. This place is great. Highly recommend.
Convenient location, quick and tasty with helpful staff. Being a melburnian, I compare everything to Victoria St. While this place doesn't make the mark it's good for what it is. Recommended for an easy weeknight dinner.
Great quick option. Lovely fresh and cheap. Friendly service. Highly recommend for a casual option. We'll be back.
Soooo yummy. healthy food options at a great price, made fresh too order and very helpful staff
Chicken noodle soup rocks.
Don't let some of the older reviews put you off - this is a fantastic, underrated Vietnamese place. Deep and flavourful pho but the star of the show is the pork chop chop fried rice - generous and delicious.
Friendly owner who provides great customer service. Crispy chicken was delicious, good amount of flavour and not dry at all.
Went here tonight for a family dinner. Had a few patrons there for a small restaurant.
We ordered beef pho it was ok just not balanced enough for me but lots of meat which was silky and tasty.
Then we had spring rolls which were good.
We also had salt and pepper squid with rice which was delicious and crunchy and soft yum.
Fried chicken and rice was delicious too.
Laksa I’m told was not great.
Nice and Cosy place, had a pho with beef and beef meatballs, really nice and subttle flavours, also a large portion, fairly priced, highly recommend this little hidden gem.
