Review Yume Sushi - Drummoyne

Richard C
This is the best sushi restaurant in the Drummoyne-fivedock area by far. I’ve spent time in Japan and eaten plenty of sushi there over the years and the food at yume Drummoyne is authentic and high quality. The sushi and tempura is particularly excellent. I’ve been going here for over 10 years and I will keep going back for as long as they’re here. My only wish is they would stay open a bit later, but the food and service is first class.

As locals have been going to Yume Sushi Drummoyne for many years even though it's always been on the expensive side. Always very nice people no matter who's been working there. Unfortunately will now stop going because it is just become too expensive. The last straw was $24 the other day for a takeaway, teriyaki meal (supposedly main meal) with a little bit of rice. Not much bigger than an entree size. Just too expensive. Disappointing.

Yume use to be a restaurant my family & I went to often years ago when the previous owner ran the place, the gyoza's use to be beautifully deep fried so they were extremely crispy without being oily but now taste like they came frozen from a packet. The sashimi & sushi itself is still a really good quality however Yume is expensive considering similar restaurants. The Wagyu Beef Skewers are also still quite nice.

Was so disappointed! Both sets of California Rolls I ordered did not came with mayo and fish roe as listed on their menu. Harris Farm have better tasting rolls for less the price. The Rolls where dry and not much flavor to it. Drove 20mins in peak traffic to pick it up and 20mins back for this disappointment. Wont be going back again.

Delicious food and amazing service! The people here are so nice and polite. We had a great dinner experience. We had an early dinner for two on a weeknight and ordered the Special Bento Box between two people. It was plenty of food. We had the vegetarian gyoza on the side, which was so beautifully prepared and presented. The filling was so tasty and the skin was perfectly crisp. We had cold sake too. It's excellent that they allow you to choose your own cup from the series that they have available. It's a fun touch. We had a bottle between two and that was enough for about three little cups each. It was about $60 for the two of us and we left satisfied.

Been here since it's opening over 11 years ago. Their use of brown rice leaves a long lasting taste. I love their wide range of entrees and try a new one each time. Fish is most always fresh.

This is the BEST Japanese restaurant - We get the special bento box regularly which is the best bento box we have ever had!!! Everything else we have tried on the menu is amazing from the super fresh sashimi to the mouthwatering teriyaki chicken - I absolutely recommend you go here! 😊 🍱

Average sushi restaurant. Rich dishes but my baby rolls with tuna had more vegetables than tuna. The location is small but the staff is nice.
