Review Royal India Restobar - Dubbo

Amazing food! By far the best restaurant in Dubbo! We were surprised to find such good Indian food here, but we’re so glad. This place looks like a wedding reception venue, and you feel like a royal dining here. Definitely get the mango chicken - you won’t regret it!

This is the fanciest Indian restaurant I've been too, I felt like royalty. The staff were great, the food was amazing and well priced. The chandeliers are pretty and the menus are nice looking and very clean.

Very fancy Indian restaurant located in the heart of Dubbo. One of the best Indian meals we’ve had. Great range of authentic and traditional dishes. We had the dal, shahi paneer, mango chicken, aloo gobi, veggie biryani, roti and naan. All were excellent and delicious. Service was quick and efficient. Decor was very ornate and flash. Prices are on the high side but reasonable given the quality and atmosphere.

It was my first Indian food challenge. The menu is clean and would recommend. In particular, the male boss was very pleasant and made me feel good.

Visiting Dubbo and this place was recommended. Wow. Great experience and was reasonably priced. The meals were prompt and tastes amazing. One of my daughter's is Gluten Free, this wasn't an issue for them. We will be back.

Enjoyed a deliciously fabulous meal at Royal India Restobar; great food, great wine, great ambience, efficient and helpful staff and good value for money. All in downtown Dubbo. Highly recommend. The garlic Naan bread is delicious!

Good place to have Indian food. All dishes I ordered were tasty, but chicken 65 was not what it is supposed to be....it was a tasty chicken snack though. Curry was not spicy even though I requested for it. Quantity is a bit less for price. Service and ambience is fine. Overall...recommended.

Wow just staying in Dubbo for the night checked out best places to eat. Royal India restorbar did not disappoint excellent food. Goat curry melted in your mouth enough spice. Desert was the best Gulab jamun omg you have to try. This restaurant I can highly recommend. Staff were delightful. Lovely customer service. Thank you for making our visit to Dubbo memorable.

A totally unpleasant and bad experience !!!!! we went today as we were planning a special day. we were recommended by one of our friends. i my self have managed one of the busiest Indian fine dinning restaurant at the heart of Melbourne for two years. so. i do have a fair knowledge about food and customer service expectation. as we got, a bottle of water was given, not served . no one bother to ask if want a sprinkling or normal tap water. the electric candle on the table was also not lighted and no one bother that then we felt odd so we light it up by our self. we ordered entree first, paneer pokada and fish tikka. it took 48 minutes to arrive. Between that time we were asked 3 times if we want to order our main and desert but no one bother to mentioned about wait or keep us occupied. after long 48 minutes we are served with tiny pieces of paneer pokada as it was cut into 3-4 pieces from each from full size, was bit dry too. the fish was either too much marinated or too old stock, was very test less, too soft that it breakdown on the spoon. even potato can test better then that. 1 or even minus out of 5 for fine or casual dinning. After that we ordered our main, chilli chicken , malai kofta, cheese naan and rice. they took too long and finally we complain after 50 minutes. within that time we are not asked about anything rather then for desert once. no one bother to occupy us no one ask for a drink and no one apologize they just didn't seem to care . some waiters were just standing and some looking after big table. after the complain, after around 9 minutes the dinner was served. the chicken was nothing like chilli chicken the spices was not balanced at all the chicken was not properly battered and fried before cooking just too horrible test. then comes malai kofta , the sauce was fine but kofta was too dry . naan was all right. but rice was not too great , just a normal rice . main food 1 out of 5 after the meal . we went to the counter to pay. the gentleman in the counter didn't even bother to ask how we felt about the place and food. i mentioned about the recommendations, then he ask about how the food was but was not interested to talk. i even asked who manages this place because i was interested to share the experience i had and i am surprised he was not interested to talk at all as if he had really bad day or i am expecting too much from the place. as i can see very good customer service reviews from the reviews in google. it made me re thinking.... no wonder the place is really nicely presented but if the management and food can match the surrounding it could be better. NOT RECOMMENDED AT ALL !!!!!! over all not a pleasant experience.this is my honest personal experience i had today. i hope this will help the management to find a loophole in food and customer service and do better in future. thank you.

The most tasty and beautiful Indian food. Highly recommend. Seriously some of the best Indian food I have eaten - and I come from UK , midlands - Indian food capital of U.K. Try pepper chicken - stunning.

The atmosphere, decor, food, friendliness and service were all amazing! We are from Newcastle, a friend recommended we book dinner at your restaurant while holidaying in Dubbo and we are glad we did. Stunning Food, we've eaten at loads of Indian restaurants both in Australia and around the globe, we have to say, this is the BEST we've had, ever! The flavours of each dish were incredible, clean and fresh, the service was very good and the restaurant is very classy and clean! I would consider driving from Sydney to Dubbo again just to dine here, it was that good!

One of the best Indian Restaurants I've ever dined at. Only concern was the wait, but I guess that's the price you pay when the food is so good. Also the staff were up front about the wait when I ordered so certainly not a complaint.

Had a great night, good food, wine. They were very busy and forgot to get us extra glasses for water and there was a shortage of ice buckets for our wine but to there credit the guy came out with what looked like a smaller version of a plastic bucket with ice. All good, very friendly, good service. Will go back.

Absolutely delicious food. We order takeaway from here often, which has always been very good, but the restaurant experience goes above and beyond that - delicious, delicious, delicious. I could gorge myself on the naan bread alone and be very happy.

The Royal India Restobar is one of Dubbo’s newest restaurants and I had heard good things about it. Therefore I was really looking forward to trying it out. On this occasion I dined with 9 other people as part of my work’s social club. This is a good way to dine. Besides the fact that there is always someone to carry conversation, the Royal India Restobar have banquet options that are not too bad value. For $34.95 you get entrée, which was a good size. Everyone gets to choose a main too (seafood dishes not included, but they are included in $39.95 banquet), and there are lots to choose from. You also get “accompaniments” of Garlic Naan, Rice, and Pappadum. Lastly you get a choice between Mango or Pista (pistachio) Kulfi, which is an Indian ice cream.
