Review Maki - Dubbo

Absolutely brilliant food. We ordered the scotch fillet and the seafood. Both meals were absolutely delicious and the service was beyond exceptional. I would definitely recommend this place! When you consider that you're getting dinner and a show it's an absolute bargain. Drinks are well priced also. Two mains and four alcoholic beverages totalled $115. Will definitely be back!

Took 20mins to start cooking the food and wasn't very good. ALOT of butter was used and it didn't help the flavour. Only fun bit was when the chef threw food at you. Decorations were unecessary and cheap. Drinks menu could have more of a kids range as it was mostly boose.

Food wasn’t good as their price... grilled vege was have purple cabbage, taste bitter and salty, can’t handle it... we wait for the main, seafood lover and chicken for 1.5 hours.. anyway, won’t recommend it.

Brian is a trained teppanyaki chef. Absolutely incredible. And the flavours are so good. Wish I took more photos

Great fun dinner experience! The staff were lovely, the food was delicious and the chef was very entertaining! He was also excellent at making sure that the two of us at the table who were gluten free were able to enjoy our food without worry :) He made sure to prepare ours first before adding any ingredients that could be an issue!

Great food and joyful environment. We have been there twice, for lunch and the Teppanyaki for dinner. Make a reservation for the Teppanyaki, it's a 12 seats table that will be shared with other group. The chef is very friendly and you will watch a little show. :) We ordered the seafood and steak, it was great. :)

Sorry this is what i call a fake teppanyaki. No chef to entertain you. The waitress lied at the door. The only thing she said was that they don t serve sushi. I was fine with it. Then wait 15-20 min to be seat and only then was told the chef won t serve us. So no show for the kids and we paid full price for it. Please don t call yourself teppanyaki if it s for serving food from a behind the door kitchen . If you were straight from the beginning i wouldn t be so upset i don t like to be fool around . Oh, and not covid safe at all. No contact tracing, no hand sanitizers and seat more than 20 people around the chef . Our table was 8 personnes. And more people sitting around with no social distancing.

I was so unsure before we went, but wow, the food was amazing. The staff were so friendly. I can not recommend this place enough. If you want something a little different defiantly book a place at the teppanyaki plate. It is such a fun night. My 6 year old can't wait to go to school on Monday as this is going to be her news for Monday lol Will be back for sure.

Was my first time having Teppanyaki and must say i will definitely go again. Was so much fun and to die for. Fried rice, eye fillet and the teriyaki chicken was amazing. Brian was such a great host and chef. Even taught us to do afew with the salt and pepper grinders haha. Will recommend this restaurant to everyone.

Wow wow wow! We had a 8:30pm session at the Teppanyaki bar, highly recommend this time for a relaxed experience. The green tea ice cream was yummo! Food all round was great. Left full and happy. The Grill entertainment was fantastic and the fried rice to die for! Loved that it was BYO which also made the cost of the whole night including menu affordable,couldn't fault anything,except maybe they need another Teppanyaki grill inside to accommodate more people.

Had the best time last night at Maki teppenyaki restaurant, the food was great, loved the fried rice. My son had the most amazing eye fillet steak he or I have ever tasted. My son in law was skeptical about going in case he didnt like the food but he loved it. Amazingly we all managed (5 of us) to eat our entire meal using chopsticks �was a fantastic experience would recommend to everybody. If you haven't experienced the teppenyaki table give it a go.

I highly recommend Maki Teppanyaki. Went last night for dinner and was entertained throughout the entire meal. Beautiful food, service & atmosphere. Even the kids sat mesmerised by the chefs skills and enjoyed the delicious menu. Great night out! �

If there doing what their doing all the time, sweet, it will work, amazing food, thanks to Brian, the fried rice is amazing , the fillet steak-- on the Teppanyaki plate,one of the best I've tasted,and the most scrumptious scallops. Thanks Brian and Pamela We'll be back

My fiancé and I enjoyed a lovely meal this evening and were extremely impressed with how accomodating the staff were of our toddler who joined us at the teppanyaki table. Everything we ate was delicious and it was surprisingly affordable. I recommend everyone gives it a try at least once. Keep up the great work, we'll definitely return in future.

Everything was amazing. Entertainment from the chef was amazing. I am in a food coma I am that full. Highly recommend. We will definitely go back!!

Had a lovely dinner here with friends on the weekend. The food was delicious, plentiful and the delivery was entertaining. The staff were warm and friendly, was a very pleasant and fun experience. Would definitely go back and recommend to others.
