Review Love Fish & Chips - Dubbo

Nice friendly staff clean and tidy... Got here almost at closing time but they still took the time to cook us up a hamburger n chips... Nice place and sure to come back... Thank you

The fish was way over cooked and so was the other seafood. Chips were good though I purchased this just over 3 weeks ago but hadn't done any reviews for a while...thanks I hope when you reopen you do better ones. I will also add that the lady behind the counter only listened to half our order before racing off to cook it and clearly did not have good customer service or manners! Your lucky to get 2 stars from me.

I normally don't review things but couldn't help myself after leaving here about 20 minutes ago with our fish and chips. Both my partner (a 6'2" relatively intimidating guy) and I felt like scolded school children for just trying to order. The lady behind the counter clearly wasn't having it, whether she was stressed or whatever else I'm not sure (and when a customer tried to joke and asked her if she was stressed, she didn't even acknowledge her existence). After she took half our order and walked off to fry chips mid sentence, we waited for about 10 minutes. In this time we saw her treat other people the same way, and give people other people's orders without trying to assess if they were the right ones when they were in doubt. She charged us for the wrong items because she only listened to half our order, but we were genuinely too afraid of the drama it would've caused if we tried to correct it. We figured whatever, fish and chips are fish and chips. Well as my partner just said, "when has anyone ever not been able to eat their fish and chips". Genuinely couldn't finish it. The dim sims were bizarre, potato cakes very soft, and both our fish still had the skin on (inside the batter) - scales and all. Very confused about all the positive reviews because we're both trying to drown out the feeling of being in trouble with beer after that experience. And we didn't even get a good feed out of it 😅

The grilled fish was fine but the chips were plain and the battered fish was chewy and cold. Not to mention they only gave us 1 prawn cutlet when we ordered 2. The customer service was appalling and they tried to charge us double. Never going back.

Rude Asian lady served us, she only took a bit of the order before she turned away. Great chips is the best I can say as the fish was overcooked and dry.

Disgusting shop, floor sticky and dirty and people who own it are rude and obnoxious. We were asked to leave the store when I questioned the fact they ask you to pay for salt. Just moved to Dubbo and was looking for a good fish and chip shop. Luckily the owners were rude and kicked my family out as we really dodged a bullet this time. Get your fish and chips from cobra street mini mart next door as they have beautiful food and lovely staff

OMG. Best seafood we have ever had apart from Busy Bee Fish and Chips shop in Bundaberg, Queensland. The lady who took our big order also cooked our order to perfection while cooking other orders and taking orders over the phone. She is amazing to watch in action and does not have the time, or understand the Aussie language enough, to understand a joke if one is made. There iwere a lot of orders being placed for Chinese dishes as well which are cooked by a young man out the back. Pricing is excellent too. Perfected craft. Well done.

The store itself is not accessible to wheelchairs so need to wait outside in the cold. Staff came to see what I wanted, What I could see of menu through the door. Well cooked and staff polite and efficient.
