Review Fortune Kitchen - Dubbo

Stopped in at motor inn right next door to this Chinese restaurant. I was very impressed when I got a call back from the restaurant. I had tried to call twice with horrible connection (I have no idea what the issue was,) but, as I was beginning to make an online booking for KFC, The lovely phone operator from Fortune Kitchen called and was very helpful with my order. I walked the 2 minutes from my apartment to the store and was very impressed with the presentation. I was served within minutes and went on my way, back to my room. Here's where my review went from 3-4 stars to a solid 5/5. The short soup was absolutely superb, and my two meals (Singapore noodles and Satay Chicken), were absolutely fantastic. Not the cheapest Chinese meals I've had, but definitely up there with some of the best. Definitely recommend this place. I was not disappointed. Small update: I had my short soup, which was superb, and a serving of satay chicken, which really hit the spot. But, I have to say, that my Singapore noodles, that I ordered as a backup in case I didn't enjoy my meals, was absolutely delicious. So now I am sitting here, having finished my short soup and satay chicken, and then absolutely destroyed my Singapore noodles, and all I can think is, "Thank good I went to this place instead of KFC. DEFINITELY WORTH A TRY!

Have you ever felt like an intruder at the takeaway? That's what it was like at this establishment. The older guy at the counter must have watched a Seinfeld's "Soup Nasi" episode (I know the correct spelling), and acted accordingly - not rude, but definitely not welcoming either. Must have forgotten, that the famous moustache guy's soup was exceptional, and his food is just decent/acceptable at best. I've been to a lot of Asian places before, and almost everywhere the staff was smiling and helpful regardless of the command of the language of the land, so maybe this fella could take a hint. Anyway, food was all right, nothing to rave about but no complaints either. Probably would have had better experience if used delivery service instead of going there.

Disgusting. Ordered the vegetarian soup with mushrooms and tofu. Mushroom surprise. And 3 oily deep fried tofu puffs in a greasy msg laden broth, a bunch of frozen veg and overcooked noodles. Good thing I ordered over priced Steamed rice because at least I can eat that. Horrible.

Food was pretty good, got the satay fried rice, while it was tasty there wasn't any peanut sauce. So I think it should have been special chicken fried rice instead. Laksa was great.

What a waste of time and money The honey chicken and the spring rolls were deep-fried until just about burnt. The stay chicken tasted like absolute rubbish and the sweet and sour pork had next no sauce. The food was nearly cold when it was delivered I wouldn't reccomend this place to anyone. I would have rather spent my money at KFC atleast I know what it is gonna taste like

I ordered 2 mains and and a fried rice delivery. Only received 1 main and the rice. Called the restaurant was told I was wrong and that the 2nd main is there. Took the food back to the restaurant for the owner to argue the food was there and that something must have happened to it in my care. Because she packed the orders wrong rather then apologise and remake the 2nd main while I was there she argued and accused me of doing something to the food. Poor service from a business owner. Own your mistakes and correct them!

Had takeaway singapore noodles and pad thai it was excellent and very good value. Would definitely go here again and try something else given how good this was.....

Comprehensive range of food to choose from. Service was fast and friendly. Definitely worth going back.
