Review Ruan Thai Restaurant - Duncraig

Ordered ; Green chicken curry $17.90 Massaman beef $17.09 Large rice $4.50 Spring rolls (4) $8.00 Ordered here a few times and the food is always tasty. The spring rolls were a bit average to be honest and definitely not worth $8 for four. The staff in store and on the phone are always friendly. The restaurant itself is always super busy which by the food I can see why. If you are planning on take away, I suggest you call early as there is always a pretty length wait time (Called at 6pm and already a 50 minute wait) Was worth it though.

Haven't visited for a while but the service and food was good as always. My favourite is the crispy pork with Kai Lan, other dishes were massaman curry, basil beef and chicken pad thai

Always incredibly tasty and fresh. We both eat meat and the mixed vegetables stir-fry in oyster sauce is our favourite, an absolute staple. Tastiest vego dish ever and an insane amount of different veges with little to no onion and no Tofu. Other favourites are the beef salad, beef basil stir-fry, penang, green curry, Tom kha and the curry puffs! Thanks for your immaculate service and food, you obviously take a lot of pride in what you offer and care about your patrons. Keep up the amazing work :) (we'll see you again next week)

What a great little place to have found in Duncraig, just of Hepburn ave. Went there for dinner tonight and ordered the Banquet for 4. It came wirh Pork but they were so accomadating and allowed us to swap it for another dish. Wait staff were lovely and welcoming. Food was fantastic and its BYO. Great place to enjoy good company and food. Highly reccomend.

The best Thai food iv ever had. Loads of flavour. Asked for chilli and got chilli. Most places don't add the chilli

🥟 A fave spot for us, we visit at least once every six months as a get together venue with friends. The menu is huge and can be a little confusing at first but take a leap of faith, I’ve tried just about everything on the menu and never been disappointed. You’ll need to order rice as an “extra” with your meal.<br/>🍷BYO is accepted. They also have drinks there.<br/>💵 Great value for money.<br/>🙋🏻‍♀️Service is exceptional, they also take special requests (allergies) very seriously.<br/>🍃 It is a little kitschy, but in a charming way. Always busy when we get there, quieter after 8pm.<br/>👨‍👩‍👦‍👦 Family friendly.<br/>🚘 Parking right outside the venue.

A popular local thai restaurant which is well patronised. I found the service to be very good. Dishes rather small however but tasty. Tom Yam a little too sweet and lacked some sourness, Nonetheless a good local venue with no parking problems.

Was ok. Not bad, not standout though. Food didn’t have the usual punch that thai has. Think they have refined their tastes for the ageing Duncraig population, that grew up on meat and three veg.

A superb local Thai. We have been coming here for several years because of the great food and friendly service.<br/>We enjoy the curry puffs, crispy pork and stir fry basil chicken but there is a good selection of other dishes on offer and there is a very popular takeaway option available.<br/>Easy parking right outside....perfect.<br/><br/>

Walked in and greeted with a nice smile and given a seat immediately service was great. Food came fast and full of flavour definitely coming back again. Must try.

A friend introduced me to this restaurant. Great place, it's a little out of the way from my house but worth the drive for good Thai food. So far all the dishes I've tried have been great and I feel are good value for money. The staff are happy and friendly as well.

Best Authentic Thai Restaurant. This has got to be one of the best thai restaurants in perth. So many selections, but we couldn't eat them all.<br/>We started with the Golden Bags and the Blanket prawns which were a great little taste of things to come. Just enough for two people to work up an appetite. I was told the green curry is a must have, so we tried both the red and green curry and we weren't let down. Very traditional and tasty. If you like it hot then you have to ask. The standard is curry is hot but not overly. We wanted to try more but these meals were more than enough for two (with a side of rice). We took home the yellow chicken curry and the massaman beef which are also very nice (even reheated the next day) A+++ Recommend

This is the best Thai restaurant in Perth!! Great for children and adults - reasonable prices, lovely service and the food is authentic and flavoursome. Will recommend and be back many times!!!

Fast friendly service, tasty food. We popped in one evening on the spur of the moment for a quick meal. The service was prompt and friendly. The food was delicious and served quickly. Highly recommended. We will be back.

Went on a Saturday night. Turned up without booking. The restaurant was fairly busy but the welcoming staff found us a table. Had a couple of tasting plate starters ( Thai fishcakes were delicious) then for main we had Thai green chicken curry, prawn pad Thai and exotic seafood plus some steamed rice. Can't fault the food at all was well cooked and very tasty. Great little cheap eat restaurant. Will be going again

Great Thai. Went to dinner here on Saturday night with three other people. Nice restaurant, great/fast service and great food. All round a wonderful experience and highly recommended.

Good food, good service at a reasonable price. We have dined here for dinner on at least 4 occasions. The food is great, really fresh and I love that they have some different dishes on the menu. The Choose Chee Fish and Crispy Pork dishes are to die for. Love this place!

Had takeaway last Thursday. Food was ok to good. Is it me or are those takeaway containers getting thinner and thinner for all restaurants. Felt ripped off for 3 dishes and 1 serve of samosas. $55

Ruan Thai crispy pork is amazing. Great place for dine in or take away and good prices.

Top Food & Service. Four of us went to this wonderful restaurant friday November 15 and we could not fault one thing. The greeting was wonderful from 3 lovely waitresses dressed in Thai uniform, the table setting was first class. The service was unbelievable, the banquet for four of us was huge and we couldn't just finish it off and we are big eaters. The coffee was the real coffee out of the machine and our women are fussy when it comes to coffee. This family have been at this restaurant since January 2013 and they have given our nothern suburbs another great restuarant. Our first time and they have won four regulars for life. On top of all the above the price is very reasonable.

Amazing food & service! Although we live in Morley it is way worth the travel! The crispy pork dish is the best!! Must give this family business a go :) A++++

Nice food. It's nice if you don't mind sweet tom yum. Not a classic cuisine, but tasty, and you get a lot of attention from the staff. <br/>Their portions are rather small.

The perfect local Thai restaurant. We dined at Ruan Thai this evening and were so pleasantly surprised that it offered the complete package - sincere and caring service, beautiful food of such quality and freshness and attention to detail in the table linen/crockery etc. The new owners are to be congratulated as the food was outstanding - beef masamaan was the best we've tasted, delicious tamarind prawns, chicken and cashews - just to mention a few. I hope the locals get behind this family business and support this restaurant as it deserves to do well. Duncraig residents need access to more great local eateries and this one is somewhere that we will frequent without hesitation. Very happy to have a quality Thai restaurant within easy reach that will be a regular feature on our dining out options.

As good as Dusit Thai. Bravo to the new owners - a team of very talented siblings who have transformed our local Thai restaurant into something quite special. The menu is outstanding - service was friendly, fast and engaging - and the four signature dishes we tried last night were all excellent. Brother chef puts an exciting twist on some old favourites, Mum is in charge of the curries, and sister runs front of house with style. Well done indeed! We'll be back to work our way thru your impressive menu. Can't wait to see what you will do with the success that will no doubt follow .... I forsee a chain of Ruans!!
