Review Carine Glades Tavern - Duncraig

Carine tavern us our local, it was really hit and miss for a while so much so we would drive to other suburbs for a good meal. Recently the food has improves so much. The interior looks so much more welcoming (especially around tv/sport area) we usually sit in the outside area you can order all food and drinks directly from the table. And these guys should be up there for best parmi in Perth. (Also pic of pork belly which was very nice too).

Unacceptable service. Went for lunch with family today, pretty quiet at the restaurant. Placed an order and waited for half an hour at our table yet not a single staff came to check on us. We then went in to ask about our order and turned out our order did not went through to the kitchen. Did not receive any apology, just saying would make our order and we waited for another 15mins. The neglectance is totally unacceptable considering that there are plenty of staff on floor and not a lot of customers to be served. Had to take away the food after waiting a total of 45 mins at the end. We only received an apology after complaining to the manager of how specifically we are disappointed by the service. The chips, burger and the sandwiches was pretty good and the portion was decent. But the crispy pork belly was way too dry and overcooked. The floor staffs were doing a great job in checking everyone’s vaccination certificate but well you sure need to UP YOUR GAME in serving your customers. It would be appreciated if you could make your effort to make sure all the customers are being served properly, including the ones dining in the outdoor area. Cheers

Great Thursday night meal, enjoying the half cray special which came with a choice of any meal. I had the duo of crispy fish soft tacos. Both the cray and the tacos were delicious and the other meals were fabulous too. We couldn't fault the service from the young team, thanks for a lovely night.

Table booked for 7.30 pm. At 8.00 pm had to ask someone to take our drinks order. This didn’t arrive for another 1/2 hr after asking staff where our drinks were. My meal was very nice, I chose the salmon. My husband ordered beef and Guinness pie which came on chips and gravy but no broccoli as stated on menu. Told staff and had to remind them when my husband was 1/2 way through his dinner. Friends had the curry that didn’t even taste like a curry and was very dry. Had to ask staff again if we could order another drink. Again this took 1/2 hour. After another reminder. Mentioned all of this when we paid at the end of the night and staff blamed it on COVID. Special thanks to waitress which was her first night, she was so helpful and apologetic. Don,t think we will be going back in a hurry not sure why showing my sons name Taylor.for review. Took 1 hour for our meal to arrive, I had the fish and chips and it was pretty bad. It was like the oil wasn’t right temperature or old? My daughter couldn’t eat hers either. I’d expect better for pub meal. Give it a miss…

We booked my husbands 50th in the Bistro Function Area for 50 people last weekend. We were so super impressed with the facilities and service and had the best time! The room and adjoining outdoor courtyard were perfect, the platters were beautifully presented and delicious and the staff were extremely helpful, friendly and kind....especially Nick! 🙏 We are so grateful for the happy memories made here and absolutely recommend this venue to everyone!

Applies to the restaurant only: After arriving at an empty restaurant to eat at 8.30pm on a Friday with a booking for 15, we were told to hurry up and order as the kitchen staff want to close! Red flag already. Presented with a menu with little selection, we questioned if it was the pub menu. Nope. We then asked if they had changed owners/management. Yep. After eating at this place for 9 years, we are not returning…nor will other patrons…the empty restaurant speaks for itself

The best customer service I've ever experienced. Josh was amazing great service very polite very professional! Came here on accident but with service like this might make it my local. Thank you Josh Unfortunately Google only allows a 5 star rating but you truly deserve more!

I would really like to thank the staff at The Carine where we hosted my mum's surprise 70th birthday lunch today. The booking and confirmation process were easy, they allowed me to come early to put out decorations, made a little table for me to use as a cake table, and provided plates, forks, and a cake knife for us to use... No cakeage fee! They also let us order as one group with table service and then pay individually off the total at the end. The waiter Nick was calm, professional and polite. It was an all round pleasant experience. I would highly recommend The Carine for your next function!

The food was really nice today (salt and pepper squid and beer battered chips) and the house white was delicious. The beer garden is such a great spot for lunch while the kids are entertained by the playground and chalk wall. I think I'll have to start coming more often.

Went in for mother’s day lunch, expected it to be busy, we ordered garlic bread and pork belly bites to share, pork belly was ok, garlic bread on the other hand tasted like warm lightly buttered toast, honestly couldn’t even taste any garlic, worst tasting gb we’ve ever had. Meals where ok, they forgot Thai fish cakes in the seafood plate and our second round of drinks took so long we had finished our main meal by the time they arrived, as I said it was busy. The food was just really plain, wont be going back.

Food wasn't great. Scotch Fillet very grissely, Beef Medalion should have been medium was very rare. Third meal only had half the salad they forgot to put the onions, carrots etc. Definitely wouldn't recommend :(

Staff were great. They were very attentive , making sure we were ok ,always smiling and happy. Food was very nice. Seafood platter for two we can recommend. Thanks Carine a really great venue and very children friendly.

The Dining area is a bit of a mess and the food is a little below average pub food. The drinks list is very extensive.

Whilst I have been in for lunch with family and friends numerous times and been happy with the food which is great and the service somewhat tonight's Pearl Jam tribute gig was ridiculously bad for service and whilst it was a great atmosphere with a decent well behaved crowd the place had empty bottles and glasses on the table's inside and out there were still dinner dishes on table's at 11pm pretty sure the kitchen would of been closed. The one guy trying to get on top of the glasses was swamped and the girl behind the bar who eventually served me was rather blah and seemed uninterested in any sort of good service and that was after waiting 20/25 mins for her to even serve me. The other bloke behind the bar was clearly frazzled and stressed and kept asking who was next which could of caused him all kinds of hassle if he chose to serve someone who said me over someone else who had already been waiting ages. Usually bar staff are assigned a section of the bar thus allowing them to keep track themselves of who should be next. As music gigs are usually booked with plenty of notice the staff would of been aware that it would be busy and would have enough capable staff that could handle moving through the people to collect the dirty glasses and keep the place somewhat clean during the gig. So I'm thinking you either didn't put enough staff on although it did seem like there was quite a few of them. You need an event manager/manager who knows how to handle and work an event and handle the smaller details of such events. Your bar, glassys and waitstaff need some retraining or a leader who can organize people where they need to be. Ladies toilets by 10.30 had no soap, no paper towels and at least one toilet needed toilet paper. The band was awesome and I love live music but if your going to be a live music venue of popular bands and hold other functions as well, Your organisation and staff need to be able to handle it and the crowds. It may of been a one off unorganized scenario but I got the feeling it's happened before at previous events and functions. Don't normally rant or complain but was in hospitality myself and there was no hospitality about tonight's service.

Great venue to take the family! We had a group of 13 ranging from 1 to 70 and not a single complaint. Great food and fantastic value, staff were friendly and helpful and the playground was great for the kids.

Very comfortable great food which we did'nt have to wait long for (25 min) and although lunch period was extremely busy the staff were on top of everything..my first visit and definately not my last..we were a party of 7 and all were very happy and i must say great coffee...thank you

I dont know whats happened to the Carine lately ( new manager??), but drink prices are more expensive than upmarket places in Mt Lawley and the great music they had several months ago has gone decidedly downhill. Saw a band there on New Years Eve which would have to be one of the worst bands i have ever seen. Luckily there was no cover charge, but even a DJ would have been preferable,

Fantastic. Went with a party of 7 on Mother's Day. The food was great and the staff were amazing, dealing with multiple large tables at once. The wait for the food was only 20-30 minutes and we never went without a drink. Good job.

The bar staff Are awesome. Food was tasty and great service! Would definitely recommend

My husband and only go in for the surf and turf I have the steak and chips and my husband gets a full lobster for $17 as I don’t eat seafood so I find The Carine extremely pleasing to go eat at for the price only $50 for both of us to eat out. The drinks did get messed up as they left one of my order and then tried to charge me for it when we payed the bill but was quickly fixed up when rectified . Thanks Carine Tavern we will definitely be back again sometime.

Love the place and food is usually great but the service is a little dissapointing.....45 min wait for a $15 lunch deal and clearly the bar person has no customer service skills.....if you hate your job that much you should probably find a new one. Smiling wont hurt you ��

Half an hour just to get hold of a waiter. Half an hour after seein 2-3 tables fed before us that rocked up after. To be told still 15 minutes. Never again am i waiting an hour for some one who couldnt give a rats toss.

We had a bitterly disappointing dinner experience in the cafe. I would give it 0 stars if i could. The food was overcooked,the order was incorrect twice & the service wasn't much better. Im sorry to say we wont be back.
