Review Dunsborough Bakery - Dunsborough

Very tasty, they definitely don't skimp on the filling here! The baked goods aren't snacks but a very filling meal.

Always have yummy fresh cream donuts so it's a must visit for kiwis missing nz donuts. Would have given higher rating but forgot to cook part of our order which meant waiting a but longer. Otherwise great.

The owner of this place believes he is infallible. He could not accept that he had got my drink order wrong and proceeded to blame me for his mistake. It wasn't a big deal to me, but this guy made it into a big deal. I really thought he was going to cry at one stage, but he kept up his valiant defence and insisted I'd asked for something I'm allergic to. It must be mentally challenging to finally realise you aren't perfect.

FAMOUS PIES. YOU'RE JOKING. We went to this Bakery for lunch as we heard it had a good reputation. We left very disappointed with our experience. 2 male staff on duty. Used tables were not attended to. There is outdoor and indoor seating available and we sat indoors where the floors were a mess from crumbs and flakes of pastry everywhere. My wife ordered a long black coffee to have with my steak and mushroom pie. The pie came in is obligatory packet. Upon extracting the pie I was disappointed with the soft small square pie confronting me. It tasted okay but certainly nothing special to warrant the famous pie reputation. We had to go and ask for our coffee again from the younger staff member who forgot that we had ordered it. No systems in place for orders and it was not busy during our Sunday visit. When we left I said to my wife that the place needed a female presence and touch in the shop front area. If I come back to Dunsborough I would try the bakery in the shopping centre across the road. The coffee was okay but nothing special to write home about. Come on guys make coming to your bakery a unique experience for your customers, especially when you have so much competition nearby.

Coffee was excellent, food was delicious... the sweets looked TOO DIE FOR. And the staff are sooooo welcoming and friendly, wish I had a bakery like this around the corner from my house!

Had a quick stop in Dunsborough to get some information and was parked across the street from this place so we had to go in and get some snacks. They had quite a range of different things to choose from but I went with a classic, a pie. The crust was ok. It was crispy and not very flaky. The filling was decent and tasty. They did have quite a lot of seating but we just got some food and went on our way.

Many have commented about the rivalry between the two bakery's in this town. Trying them back to back I found the tastes to be pretty similar. The selection at this place was less than Taz's but the seating is more inviting here. Lots more drink selections here, while Taz's seemed more extensive menu for other savory and sweet options. Overall, you can't go wrong between the two, but I liked this place more due to seating and atmosphere.

Loved their Lean Beef pie and Jam Donut. Hot Choco is good as well. Must drop in during your stay in Dunsborough.
