Really low-key restaurant with really nice food and wonderful staff. There is a huge variety of food (spring rolls, bao buns and beef brisket are the best) and a huge variety of drinks (a new staff was making $2 cocktails which were fantastic). Overall a really good location for dinner.
When Twisted Chopsticks came up with a new vegan menu, I was so excited. Even though I’m a meat eater, it’s quite refreshing to have vegan meals once in a while. Twisted Chopsticks is specialising in Modern Korean cuisine, and the Chef always put an effort to prepare fresh produce and house-made sauce. According to my past experience at the Twisted Chopsticks, I had an expectation that their vegan menu will be delicious as well.
We sampled the new vegan menu today. It was the best vegan food I have had. Delicious plant-based, amazing flavours. Portion sizes are generous, and staff are a delight.
We were invited to try their new #vegan options. The food is delicious and such a contribution to the vegan options in Perth. The vegan menu is whole food / plant based, so no artificial meat replacements.
Hospitality is top notch, and all staff are so friendly and accomodating. Currently the vegan options are listed as vegetarian on the menu, but staff are more than happy to point out which options are suitable for vegans.
Fusion Korean so it will be different from authentic or traditional Korean fare. The biggest surprise was the Spicy Seafood Hotpot, which had no soup! It was steamed and came with gravy or watery paste. Topped off with fresh oysters. Nice but not the classic spicy seafood broth!
The food was fab, my partner and I both had the Bibim Dumplings which were fresh and delicious. I had sizzling vegies (vegan option) and my girlfriend had the tofu bibimbap which were just great. Service was friendly and the food came out at a good time with the mains coming out not too quickly or too long after the entree. What surprised me the most about my dish was that I don't even like tofu that much and actually enjoyed it!
Surprised to see the average reviews for this place. We went mid week; the service was warm, friendly and attentive and the food was delicious! Tasty, warming comfort food, just what we were hoping for. We had the Chicken Pop, Hot Stone Cheese Rice Bowl and the Tofu Bibim Bap.
Will definitely be returning.

When my partner and I came here, we ordered the Ramen, the Takoyaki and the Okonomiyaki. They were pretty standard but nothing special. The selection of sake looks promising but the food wasn't really special enough to put it as a top priority for a revisit.
In saying that, the service we received was quite good, so no actual complaints. A decent restaurant for its price.
Great device and keenly priced .we enjoyed bimmibaps kimchi pancakes, , duck Naomi and a vegetarian green vegetables - we were impressed by the food quality and portion sizes - the sake was also good!
Had dinner here midweek for the first time - taking a punt even though it was quite empty, which can sometimes strike fear in the heart of diners. But all in all it was pretty darn good. Great service by the owner and her team, delicious, quickly prepare food and a good list of international beers - thoroughly recommend this place for a quick tasty bite,
Been here a few times and loved it every time. Food has so much flavour and the combinations work really well together. I recommend the duck bao, mee Goreng, gyoza and the honey soy pork! The takoyaki isn't bad either! Food comes out fast and drinks are good too. The servers are lovely aswell!
Excellent staff. We ordered the crispy duck with pancake, panfried pork gyoza, scotch fillet chinese style and kimchi jiggae. I would recommend all the food except for kimchi jiggae.
Will be back to explore the rest of the menu.

This place is underrated. We just got home from here and loved it. We had a mix of mains and entrees all bought out together (our choice) with hot sake (yummo!). We ordered twisted chopsticks that had great flavours in the light pastry, icky sticky chicken (you'll want more), fried pork dumplings (as good as we had in Japan), crispy pork and a beef bibambap (great presentation). Everything was delicious and served in record time. Not one thing was wrong with our meal and we used our entertainment book for the first time, making excellent value even better!
Haven't been here for years but will be going back more after today. The food was tasty, fresh and very reasonably priced. Duck Bao and gyozas were the highlight.
Its a decent place for an eat out once in a while. The price was a bit expensive. While the food was okay, I couldn't find the authenticity of the food. I think it is more like a modern asian restaurant rather than a Japanese Korean restaurant.
The beef tataki was salty and peppery which was disappointing. The dips was too acidic as well. Amazingly, when you put them together it became edible. Still, wasn't too impress with it
The duck bento was a bit better though. The portion was generous. The duck was tender, and the sauce was unique. It's a combination of hoisin, soy sauce, ginger, and few other things which goes well with the duck.
Im in love with their chicken me goreng....it's fabulous. Always been greeted by friendly staff who ensure you don't have to wait too long. They make a really nice iced tea too. Relaxed atmosphere, well suited to bigger party's.
We had a few entres and three mains. The Takiyaki balls were great along with the Gyoza.
Mt favourite main was the cumin beef, omg it was sooo tasty. The duck curry was also pretty special.
The owner came to the table and explained how there was no MSG in the food. It was a nice touch and it felt very genuine.

I've never heard of this place but came here with my friends with the entertainment voucher. It was worth the trip! The okonomiyaki was delish, nice and fresh steamed barramundi and a warm sake for a cold night.
Has been coming here for years. I love the wide variety of foods they offer and hence still maintaining the good quality. Particularly love the Japanese fusion & especially the duck (kamo) ramen is really rare in Perth. Some of my fav are Thai soft shell crab, teba pepper wings, crispy duck& pancake, fried oyster, Mochi okonomiyaki. Also I'm glad they have a few sake and plum wine in their beverage menu, not just the regular soft drinks and beer.
The food here is very tasty and good quality. Great value for money. The service is friendly and the staff are very helpful. Next time I want to try their Metcha Matcha dessert.
I haven't been here in a while but it's a great casual place to eat out. I really enjoyed a quite dinner with the family, the owner was really friendly and helpful. Bibimbap was pretty good, it's a great place for people who loves spicy hearty food.You must try the angry duck!

LOVED this place. We rarely ever come to Vic Park but this place is worth the trip. Extensive menu, unique dishes. Reccomended the Kung Pao Chicken and the Angry Duck. Dishes had lots of meat, not full of filler veggies like some places do. The ladies serving were super friendly. Served a nice full glass of wine too!! We'll be back.

Update: My previous dining experience wasn't great so I had zero expectations this time round. But you know what they say, under promise - over deliver, and that's exactly what our ramen managed to do. The food took a bit long to arrive but it was totally worth the wait. My tonkotsu broth was creamy and opaque, overwhelmed with bold flavours, complimented by tender chashu and perfectly runny egg. Although I rated my ramen quite highly, C.'s miso kimchi was on another level of epic. The kimchi was actually cooked in the soup not just garnished on top, combined together with the intense miso created the most comfortingly unique broth. The spiciness from kimchi and earthiness from miso guaranteed to keep us hooked till the last slurp, talk about a flavour explosion!

Came here a few weeks ago for dinner with a friend and we found the food average. Between the 2 of us we ordered gyoza, duck noodles and pork bibimbap. The gyoza was average. My friend didn't mind his duck noodles but it was extremely salty for me. My pork bibimbap was probably 1 of the worst bibimbap I have ever eaten, it had no flavours and quite over-priced. Service was great as the owner was lovely but unfortunately we wouldn't be back for the food.
“Hottest dish in Perth”
For me the 'Chicken on Fire' ($26) is the hottest dish available in Perth at the moment. Would love to hear feedback if a hotter dish exists. Consequently I pay homage and eat here on occasion. I have tried other dishes and all have been excellent, and I have to say probably one of the friendliest restaurant staff in Perth. It really leaves a 'feelgood' impression on customers.
NB: I grow Californian Reaper, and Jamaican Scotch bonnets chilies...so you can guess my level of heat.

This twisted place is twistedly amazing! The menu range is pretty good with lots of choices and reasons to come back. Their alcohol license is another bonus to introduce Korean alcohol (which unfortunately I didn't try this time).
Firstly my commendation to the service of Twisted Chopsticks. The staff are very lively, they understand the menu well and know how to make sure guest are having a good time. From walking in to finishing your plate, the staff are always one step ahead making sure you get your order on time, making sure your order is right, checking that you're having a good time, and make sure you try out their dessert. This to me is excellent service and so far cannot be compared with! Good job team!
With the food I tried the Beef Bibimbap and the Tae Ba Pepper Wings. The Beef Bibimbap was amazing! Presentation, portion, taste and price all met my expectations and more. The marinate on the meat made the food so much more flavoursome and wanted me to eat more - remember to slow down, the food is very hot (heat wise). The wings was another great dish. The pepper corns used in the sauce and marinate for he chicken gave the meat a little punch here and there. I had to scrape the bowl and add the sauce to my rice just to make sure none goes to waste.
Overall, this is going to me another "Mana Lagi" (where else in Bahasa Malaysia). I will definitely be coming back here and conquer this menu!

Possibly the best Korean food we've come across in Perth. Everything was delicious and the service is top notch. Very welcoming. The roast duck megoreng is a must try as are the takoyaki balls.
My friend and I had dinner here. We were impressed with the service of the staff. The food was really good and affordable in my opinion. The atmosphere was nice. My favorite dish was hard to pick but I definitely enjoyed the octopus balls. I highly recommend you try them if you go there. Overall I will definitely be going back sometime in the near future.

This place is a surprising gem! We chanced upon it on during the Vic Park Street Festival. As we weren't too keen on standing up at a street stall to eat dinner, we searched the Entertainment book for restaurants nearby and chose Twisted Chopsticks. Easy to get a table and the service was great. The food was also amazing. We ordered the small crispy duck leg pancakes, two duck bao sliders, squid tentacles and gyoza dumplings. Everything was delicious and quite reasonable portions to share between two people. The bill came to $17 each after the discount, which was amazing value! Will definitely return to use another voucher.

Like many others who have reviewed, I've walked past many times but been put off by the emptiness. Well having now eaten there I'd recommend giving it a try. I took my coeliac daughter, which is a good test, and the lady who spoke to us was very willing to explain their understanding of the importance of scrupulously separating from gluten and to engage the chef to check if she wasn't sure. The pork ramen was tasty and great value. I didn't find it over salty like some other reviewers. My daughter enjoyed her teriyaki chicken. I thought it was good value and tasty. I will definitely go back to explore the menu for I see if they have anything particularly interesting. Th service was very friendly and helpful. Though we were very early so it was quiet.
3 June 2017: came here again and once more it gets a consistent 3.5. Friendly service. Very helpful for my Coeliac daughter. Including now the option of GF ramen. Not the best ramen ever - the broth was a bit bland - but still filling and good value. Definitely worth a try.
Had the best takoyaki balls here! The omurice and yakisoba was good too and the lady (shld be the boss) told us that NO MSG is used. Think I've found my favourite spot in Vic park for Jap. Can't wait to try other things.
We have driven past this restaurant so many times but only tonight we decided to give it a try. We ordered Omuraise (Japanese fried rice), Thai roast duck curry with lychees, Four goodies (wok fried seafood combination), and Moccheese Okonomiyaki (Japanese pancake). Decided to try this place after driving past this place many times on Albany Highway. We ordered the miso kimchi ramen, duck ramen and udon noodles. Portions were very decent. The miso kimchi ramen was tasty and very generous with the meat. The duck ramen and the udon noodles was not bad. To be honest, I've had better ramen. Would like to come back to try other dishes though.
Discovered this place last night as our normal eatery was too busy. So glad we came here as the food was amazing! We had the octopus balls, duck bun, duck pancakes, squid tentacles, chicken wings (oh my god, the chicken wings) and the kimchi ramen. My husband and I shared all the food and it was all amazing. Especially the chicken wings. Seriously, order the chicken wings. The service was laid back and it was very quiet but the owner and other staff were very nice and attentive. We are looking forward to going back there again soon. BONUS: the cafe is next to two Pokestops and there were lots to catch during dinner!

The food is AWESOME in Twisted Chopstick! I have been to Vic Park for meals quite frequently and walked pass Twisted Chopstick but it was not until yesterday that I decided to actually give it a shot. Maybe because the place always looked empty from the outside (and yes it is empty when you are inside too). There were a total of 4 tables during my entire course of meal. When I looked at the menu, I reckoned that it was because their price is not cheap (or at least not comparatively speaking with other joints along that road).
But man, they do offer so many interesting menu that it was really hard for me to choose one: Moccheese konomiyaki, ishiyaki creamy taro rice, bibimbap seared salmon, crispy pork, duk bao slider to name a few out of the many many interesting and tempting dishes. I settled on Twisted Chopsticks for appetizer (because of the name – I thought, hey, I have to order this!), Thai Roast Duck Curry with Lychee, and my wife ordered the Ramen. There are 2 long spring rolls for Twisted Chopstic: one filled with pork and pineapple, the other filled with creamy sweet potato and taro. I love the sweet potato one. Maybe I should ask them to fill both rolls with that.
At $25 for Thai Roast Duck Curry with Lychee I have to admit it was expensive. The portion is average that I even had to order extra rice. But it tasted AWESOME – it was without doubt one of the best thai roast duck curry I have ever tried, duck was soft and juicy, the curry flavour was both sweet and spicy (not too spicy though as I requested during ordering), the lychee add sweetness and a whole new layer of flavour. It was awesome. Will I come back again then for $25 + whatever $ for extra rice? Probably. It is that good.
For dessert, we tried the Metcha Matcha, and they did serve us with authentic matcha ice cream (non of those 90% milk and 10% matcha stuff), their ice cream is thick and the matcha taste is strong you can feel the bitter sweetness. It is a great closer to an awesome meal.
Staffs there are really friendly too, we were served by one wait staff and the owner herself who kept going around and having casual conversation with all 4 of the tables. I think they are understaff - there is only so much for 1 waitress to take our order, bring our food, and refill tap waters, albeit only 4 tables of customers. The food came in quiet long – I was actually wondering why the food didn’t arrive – until the wait staff came in and ask may she bring the main. Apparently, they serve the appetizer first, and then once that’s done, they bring out the main. Probably should let us know at the beginning as I thought this is a casual dinner place where they bring-it-all-out-at-once. I guess they tried to create a semi-formal dinner experience hence the price. At the end of the day, we spent about $65 for one appetizer, 2 mains ($14 ramen and $25 curry), and 1 dessert. Not too bad considering the whole new level of experience we had. There is still plenty of roommof improvement but this has high potential to bring Vic Park to a whole new level eh? I guess the chopsticks are twisted indeed.
Great addition to the Albany Highway strip. First meal here based on a recommendation and didn't disappoint. We'll definitely be back. We had the honey sesame pork, teriyaki chicken - delicious.
Have dined here almost 10 times & would rate it 4.5 every time. Service is fantastic & the Asian fusion meals are always fresh, tasty & reasonably priced for what you get. This is our go-to restaurant that never disappoints.
Went for Sunday lunch with my parents and grandparents. We all had a great time and finished all the dishes we ordered, not even scrap remained! Restaurant was not too busy or noisy, which was nice for those who were hard-of-hearing. Waitresses were friendly and attentive, though as I said it wasn't that busy. Their chefs are Japanese - we ordered a mix of dishes and all were very flavourful and fresh. We had yakisoba, seafood mee goreng, ebi-chilli prawns, scallops and snow peas, yu lin chi and their new kimchi pork ramen soup. We'll be coming back!
I have been to this place quite a few times and after each time i am very much impressed with the tasty quality food they serve. Recently i had a Kimchi Jeon (a pancake) and a Beef Tataki that were really fantabulous. The Kimchi Jeon, the pancake just reminded me of the taste of parathas and dosa i used to have at home and was quite relishing and nostalgic treat. So i reccommend this place to those who want a tasty asian treat with a great service and ambience at a lower cost.
I had an Okonomiyaki (a japanese pancake) from Twisted Chopsticks and it was one of the tastiest pancakes I have ever had. I am really impressed by their quality of food and their service. They are doing an appreciable service oriented business providing customers with great delicacies at an affordable price. Surely its one of the best Asian cuisine restaurant available in town.

My partner and I went there one night as our favourite Viet restaurant was close. This was a surprise as every dish that we ordered taste amazing.
It was a busy night and the boss lady apologised to us as it takes a bit longer, however every dish was great, especially the fried rice has a very nice smokey taste.
They have a good range of alcohol.

Service was good. The food was good, a nice mix of Japanese, Korean and a bit of Indonesian food as well.

Came here with my mum and partner. My mum had the mega box, boyfriend had a bento box and I had a Japanese pancake. We were here for lunch so all the dishes were quite cheap with there lunch special ($20, $15, $12). The service was good, I had a issue with my pancake after asking if there was any seafood on and then they brought it out with the dried fish flakes which is traditional, the staff were really apologetic and made sure it was okay for me, I said I was fine to scrape it off myself. The pancake was good, the bento boxes were good and the chicken pieces we ordered were good. It was good but nothing spectacular. #goodfoodofperth
Big restaurant but super quiet when we were there. The interior decorations were interesting. The lady serving us was lovely and helpful. Lots of choice on the menu (and veggie options). Food not bad and decent prices. Big selection of drinks. Was cool to see sake behind the bar.
Wonderful flavours. The first thimg you notice is everything is fresh! The gyoza, the steamed fish , the pork & kimchi soup - magnificent. Even the edamame tastes fresher than elsewhere. Thumbs up!
I should say this is definitely one of the most underated restaurants in Perth. Their signature Angry Duck, grilled duck with spicy Thai style herbs, is absolutely fantastic. I also tried Teriyaki Scotch Fillet which was beautiful and tender and I have never tasted in other place. Absolutely recommended.
Went there for lunch. Don't know what's their specialty so tried one of their bento boxes. I should say that their beef bulgogi was very well marinated and you can get the flavor into the meat. The sides for the bento was very well done as well. Each side has a unique flavor and not just some random stuff some other places put in a bento.
Just had dinner here and it was very good, Had the Tofu as a starter and good easy bite to start. For main had the Teriyaki Steak, which was excellent, Just pink in the middle and very tasty. The other main dish was the Korean Clay pot, with a Mexican twist. just a hint of heat, good taste and the interesting cheese and rice mix was very good,
Service was good and efficient and friendly. We were very pleased and the bill came as a nice surprise, really good value for money, I am a big eater and there was plenty for two of us.
A couple of people have said a bit pricey, not sure where you can get better meals for these prices. most dishes around 18 to 24 dollars, A bargain I think.

Went here on Saturday night and was pretty quiet. Huge place well done and good staff. A bit of a twist on the normal Asian menu. I would recommend ordering rice and some vegetables as the dishes are just what the menu says. Food pretty good and ok price the vege at $14 was a bit too much.
I got a take away order of okonomiyaki, a savoury Japanese pancake, and angry duck which appears one of their signature dishes. The Japanese pancake is light, soft and moist, slightly gooey with the cheese, and contains delicious tender thin slices of pork with a lovely sweetness from the BBQ sauce. The angry duck carries quite a chilli kick and has strong intense flavours. This is tempered by the plain steamed rice and the salad. There’s a fair amount of boneless duck, though some pieces are a little dry while others are moist and tender. A brave bold dish that is anything but subtle.
I live on the strip. Ive tried them all. This restaurant is fantastic. Highly recommend it. The service is quick and food is amazing. Will not disappoint.

Just wonderful. Fresh healthy food, not too heavy or oily, no MSG. All dinner options are great but the steamed barramundi was pretty special. Don't leave without trying to matcha ice cream! Incredible. Service was also excellent, very happy waitresses and food came out promptly.
A little more pricey than the other Asian places on the vic park strip but is better quality in food and service too. Dropped in late on a Thursday night and was happy that the restaurant was licensed. Had the chicken and pork dishes and they were well presented and full of flavour. Pretty good change-up to the usual Asian in the area.
Ate here last night and can I just say that this is a great new spot in Vic Park. The menu is Modern Asian and everything we tried was amazing. We had the crispy duck pancakes, seared scallops and the pork bibimbap. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Will definitely come back.

Truly tasty food and a menu (Japanese with a Korean twist) so good that we actually struggled to choose just one dish each to order. Superb, fast service and seated straight away. We ordered: Agedashi tofu - soft and crunchy, totally delicious. My husband even drank the dashi broth it was served in. Taco Rice - heavenly. This combination of taco mix and creamy sauce over rice is every bit as good as it sounds. Omuraisu - a fave of ours in Japan, we were so excited to see it on a Perth menu! This was served with a good mix of vegetables through the rice, great comfort food. Mochi Matcha - I probably got this name wrong but it describes the dish. Creamy matcha icecream with matcha mochi discs, and sweet azuki bean. Actual heaven. I will go back again and again for this dessert. Twisted Chopsticks also has a good selection of drinks and the staff are happy to chat about the food if you have any questions. We have been visiting Vic Park for years and this restaurant just shot to the top of our favourites list. So glad we tried it on a whim. I'll be very surprised if we're not back within the fortnight - I am keen to try their cheese okonomiyaki. And everything else on their menu.
Eaten here a few times now, absolute gem! Food was incredible (Angry duck is amazing as is the taco rice!) they even gave my friend a gift of saki on her birthday she loved it! The owners are great hosts and if it's your first Time they will explain the concepts and dishes to you as well as recommend anything to you. Definitely worth checking out.
We went there for lunch and we were greeted by the waitress as we walked in. The customer service was amazing and we were asked if each dish was to our taste which it was. The seafood was fresh and the food was full of flavor (we got a chef's choice bento box. omu-rice and oysters). The manager/owner came to chat about the food and once she found out it we came here for a birthday lunch she came back with a special desert which had a lot of effort put into it. One of the best restaurant experience and they made us feel special, definitely going here again!
got the duck curry takeaway. it comes with steamed rice. this is the best duck curry i've ever had and i tend to order this a lot! highly recommend it. the staff are super friendly also.
We had the pleasure of dining at Twisted Chopsticks tonight and I just had to write a review to say that the food was absolutely excellent.. The staff are great too which makes the experience all the better.. Great value for money and a place i will definately go back too..
Another delicious addition to the East Victoria Park food strip! The name itself had me intrigued and made me want to dine-in straight away. To my surprise, they had a dish actually named "twisted chopsticks" and it tasted really good! It was a mix between taro and sweet potato wrapped in spring roll wrapper all together deep fried. We also tasted their beef bibimbap ($18) and chicken teriyaki bento set that came surprisingly huge and presented sophisticated ($15) We also tried their tokoyaki balls and another sizzling rice bowl dish. Overall, great customer service, reasonably priced as the servings were big enough to share between two. Would definitely come back to try their matcha dessert and other dishes!
good range of asian fusion dishes.. even the husband who doesn't really like asian food, loved it. we got the taco rice..an awesome fusion I've never had anywhere else .. reasonably priced too.
We came here for lunch last Sunday and found it to be a nice place and lot less busy than other places on the strip.
I went for a Bento Box which came out quickly and was beautifully presented. A total steal for $15.
The staff were very accommodating of my friend's dietary needs.
Welcome to Victoria park..! A nice change from all the usual fare around the neighbourhood. Has Chinese, Japanese, Thai and Korean cuisine on their menu so you are never short of options.
Big spacious interior allows for big groups and has a bar too! What more could you ask for..?!

Korean restaurant but a bit different,awesome variety on the menu and good food.
Staff is friendly and attentive to your needs.
A lot of dishes are spicy and the ones classified as hot will send you in flames so be careful!
Only improvement would be to the furniture and general look but that's personal taste.
This is easily one of my absolute favourite restaurants in all of Perth. An incredible twist on Asian cuisine, with a healthy bent towards Korean Kimchi. There is not a single item on the menu that is not well thought out and tastefully constructed, and they are constantly evolving new dishes every couple of weeks.
The staff are super friendly, and will go out of their way to make sure you are enjoying your meal to the max. Genuinely such a wonderful place.
We loved the food and the atmosphere. Food was well balanced in flavor and portion size. Staff was very friendly and attentive. Special thanks to Reiko who explained menu items to us. She was very helpful and cheerful. Great place for family and friends.
Wide variety of fusion style Korean food. Fresh ingredients with an emphasis on healthy eating and balanced dishes. We had the hot pot, chicken with glass noodles and sweet/sour chilli chicken. All very nice with lots of fresh vegetables. Keen to go back and try other dishes.
