My favourite go to curry place in the Vic Park Precinct!! Food is alway on point and the staff are lovely! Highly recommend! #vicparklife
Amazing food and thank you for such an amazing meal for your old schoolies last night highly recommended the eggplant was the best I have ever tasted
Fantastic food with a welcoming atmosphere. The goat and eggplant an absolute must. Highly recommend stopping by the junction!
Just delicious! If I had to pick my favourites they would have to be the eggplant pickle and the pork shoulder. And the prawn curry. Oh and the beef curry. The eggplant curry. Aaaaand the samosas and bahjis. Cannot wait to make my way through the rest the menu!
Amazing food! Lovely couple that greeted us and then put Ed Sheeran on for us as we were eating there before his concert! Thoroughly recommend!!
Well worth the drive - the food was superb - we will be back
Another fantastic meal at Jays! Love this place! Free corkage, fantastic food and great customer service!!! 3rd time here and always pleased!!!! Will definitely be back! X
Neighbourhood Gem! Curry as it SHOULD be. If you are looking for dishes where the spices and flavours shine through without being overpowered by chilli and sloppy sauces you’ve found them at Jays. From the delicate fish curry, to the goat curry with an intense depth of flavour and rich sauce ( and NO BONES) to the fresh Mango sorbet at the end, everything is a delight to the senses and a party for your tastebuds. Thank you Jay and Glenys for welcoming us into your little neighbourhood gem.

Another sensational meal at Jay's! Thanks so much Glenys and Jay for a lovely night (and the giant bag of leftovers and gorgeous rose!!) Vic Park friends visit them soonOoh and perfect mix of tunes too
Fantastic food. Shanks were delicious. Brought back childhood memories. Also get some rice to eat with the sauce. You will regret it if you don't. Two thumbs up
We found Jays Masala Junction by accident tonight and are so glad we went in. We had an amazing meal (That was entirely plant based) and it was absolutely sensational.
Locking this gem away in my vault for whenever we are back in the area again!
Jay your mum's cauliflower recipe rocks!
Modest menu, light on the chilli, plenty to appeal. BYO, no corkage. Home-style food cooked expertly. So tasty. Everything we ordered was delicious. We’ll be back again.
Omg this place is a gem. We rocked up booking through Dimmi and our mistake by booking the wrong night yet they sorted a spare table with the owner going to her car to grab a spare table talk about going the extra mile. We started with the onion bhaji with pickles and raita and the food was amazing. The pickles which are home made in the store were just amazing. Highly recommend . The service throughout the night was amazing I thought I was in America. The curries were beef and lamb shoulder and they were to die for so much flavour and massive serve we had to get take away. Jay the owner also walked us out the restaurant thanking us for coming we felt so welcome as if we were coming into there house. This restaurant I highly recommend it was just an amazing experience with food and amazing service.
Jay has done a brilliant job creating delectable curries whilst letting the actual ingredients shine. We had beef samosas for starters which were the best ones we’ve had in a while- light and crispy on the outside and full of delicious beef mince filling. The chicken curry was our favorite -light and packed full of flavour. The lamb shoulder curry and the beef curry were both full of tender morsels of meat and tasty gravies. Jay also has a great selection of homemade pickles which were a great add on to the meal. We will definitely be heading back there!
Have only enjoyed takeaway but my word, what quality. Thoroughly enjoyed the pork vindaloo, dahl, pickles and simply must return to dine in with a group to sample all your wares. Superb!
Delicious authentic food, amazing friendly service. I felt like I walked into a neighbour's house for dinner. The open plan kitchen really adds to the ambience. All curry/food items are made from scratch and you can definitely taste every layer of it! Not local to the area, but worth the drive and will be my weeknight "local".
Jay’s Masala Junction is unashamedly a family restaurant run with passion by - of course - Jay and his family. Jay and Glennys have created something which has almost disappeared in supposedly cosmopolitan and upwardly mobile Perth: a simple, honest, small and straightforward eatery where the food that you eat is the food that the chef and proprietor eat’s too. Jay cooks in the open kitchen, looking across and talking to the guests. While Glennys does a fab job of Making you feel at home. Jay’s samosas are pretty damn good, I enjoyed the subtle spice and crispy pastry. The prawn pakoras are lovely though, preferred by my palate. Jay makes a mean goat curry and yummy pulled pork. The menu is small but still interesting. If you are a carnivore then you’ll be in your element. But, catering to local demand, there are some vegan options too, which I’ll have to try another time. Bonuses are the price and lack of corkage. And their awesome homemade pickles. Nice. Definitely worth a drive to try.
Place an order over the phone on a Thursday evening to pick up on my way home from netball.
Jay was in and lovely! He took the time to talk about the food I had ordered and explain how it is made. I could tell he was passionate about the quality of his food.
Highly recommend the lamb. Food was really tasty.
We will be back for both takeaway and dine in.
Amazing flavours. I recommend the slow cooked meats.
Jay is super friendly and very passionate about his craft.
Delicious food and great value, warm, friendly atmosphere.
Can't wait to go back
An absolute diamond. The food is authentic and delicious and it'd make me come back on it's own. But the real gem is Jay himself. Friendly, passionate and such a true master of showing his art and love through food. Spice lovers will rejoice and yet there is so many options for non spicy friends and vegos!
10/10 would recommend to everyone.
Amazing service, authentic food and absolutely delicious. Do not hesitate to go here, it’s hard to find restaurants in Perth that come with the Chef being customer-facing, absolutely amazing place!
Taste - Would I return to this place for the taste? Yes, all dishes we have tried were very flavoursome and full of spices.
Value for Money (VfM) - Yes.
Staff (friendliness, promptness) - Owner is very welcoming and hospitable.
Atmosphere (busy, seating, toilets, if N/A then taste will inherit weighting) - Cosy. Nice interior decoration.
EFTPOS (credit cards, bank card) - Yes!
There are plenty of places in Perth you can go for a good curry. But there's nowhere you can go and have a curry like this.
It's incredible, the food tastes amazing, there service is incredible, served by Jay himself, you might catch a bit of the history of the food and be able to taste the journey this food has been on. From one secret family recipe passed down through the ages until you are lucky enough to try it for yourself.
10/10 you have to try this place. Special shoutout for the lamb shoulder curry, but they were all incredible.
