Sakae is a very busy restaurant, and you need to order before you go otherwise you would be waiting forever. I think the prices are quite expensive, but food here is quite nice. Staff were very attentive and came almost every 2 minutes to check on us which is much appreciated. Their range of BBQ meats lacks and they don’t even have pork belly on their Premium menu. Pro to their food though is how fresh the sashimi is.

Love this restaurant for the past 8+ years. It's my "Go To" when I crave Korean/Japanese BBQ. I appreciate the service from the staff in this family run restaurant. Fast, efficient and friendly. Food is delicious, meat is well marinaded and plentiful. Included side dishes (edamame, red bean paste, miso soup, marinaded sliced onions etc are spot on.Wagyu beef fingers are a must, juicy and tender. Brisket as well is highly recommended. Private, cozy atmosphere in the dining room as dividers are used to separate areas. Big thumbs up. Thanks to all the terrific, hard working staff. Full marks. See you again soon.

It's getting colder and I seem to be constantly on the edge of getting sick when I am outside! I recently go back to my local Japanese BBQ in Eastwood. Sakae Yakiniku is located right near Eastwood Station and has an extensive menu. Matt loves Japanese and Korean BBQ. This is a Japanese BBQ restaurant however there are many other Japanese dishes on the menu as well. FOR FULL REVIEW AND PICS, GO TO BLOG POST

Went there twice for their pork belly buffet, which includes...pork belly of course! and also rice, lettuce, dipping sauce, egg casserole and spicy tofu soup. Pork belly looked fresh and clean-cut, tasted good (there was no the usual smell which i don't like)and service was quite prompt. Staff would come and check if you need anything to be refilled. The first time I went there they ran out of lettuce at some point, staff apologised and went to buy some more lettuce straightaway!

best buffet in Sydney. I'm a sashimi lover. The salmon is perfect. And all other dishes are good. Definitely worth going again.
$55 for one adult and free for my daughter she is 3 years old.

Sakae Yakiniku House is one of our family's go to restaurants. It's been there for a good number of years. Still the same owner whom I reckon have managed the restaurant really well. They've had some adjustments on their menu over times, but the quality of food is still pretty good.

Great food - meat marinates have just the right mount of flavour so not too salty or sweet. Seafood is succulent and juicy. Go for the yakiniku deluxe buffet and eat your heart out! A huge selection to choose from - not just BBQ.
Have been coming here for years and still a favourite!

Sakae Yakiniku is our go to for Korean BBQ. The wagyu beef fingers and meltique are delicious. They have a large standard and deluxe buffet menu to suit all taste. Book in early as this place is pretty popular.

...we decided to give this small but neat little restaurant a go. They did have both indoor and outdoor seating but we chose to sit indoors. It was very spacious and felt Japanese straight away from the light wooden decor of the walls. Looking at the menu, I went straight to the lunch specials of bento boxes. It was $13.50 for a basic bento lunch set comprised of a main, three salmon sashimi pieces, a pasta side salad, miso soup, rice bowl and a little spring roll :) I decided to try the Teriyaki fish bento and the Torikara chicken bento box, plus the Cha Soba – which I chose because of the … unique-ness. It was green tea soba noodles!! I had only tried cold japanese soba on one occasion before and I thought it was really refreshing so I

Korean barbeque is just one of those things that you constantly have cravings for and Sakae Yakiniku House (1/6 Hillview Road, Eastwood) definitely satisfies those urges. It is theoretically a Japanese barbeque restaurant however it is Korean influenced and offers a variety of both cuisines. Opened a few years ago, this yakiniku house is tucked away upstairs, above the Eastwood Club and below a computer café located opposite Eastwood station. Kitchen Area       Patty and I have been here on many occasions with family and by ourselves for a delicious selection of meat and awesome sides. The buffet offers a huge variety of dishes including bibimbap and kimchi jijime (pancake), but who are we kidding? We're here for the meat!  They also have their regular menu , containing everything that's in the buffet plus some extra dishes, but it's better value to just eat as much as you can.  Pat is evidently overdressed for the occasion. As I'm sure most are aware, when Korean barbequing, it gets

This place was pretty good. If you get the deluxe all you can eat you walk away feeling awfully full. Portion size is small but you just order more. Takoyaki were fresh. Sushi wasn't a great selection but tasted decent. The wagyu rib fingers were fantastic.
I felt like more dipping sauces would have made the dishes more enjoyable.
Ambience was comfortable however staff were not very attentive, in those instances you need to take control and order them around.
Their scallops were awful.
Overall 7/10!

Been here a number of times and am always satisfied. I always opt for the all yu can eat dinner buffet and it has always been consistent with quality.they serve high quality wagu beef and as it is unlimited , I am always pestering the waitress for more portions. You only get 90 minutes of eating but to make the most of your money you should order a lot of food at once . And because you cook it on your own BBQ you can decide how much to cook . Overdue for a visit soon!
