We tried the assorted tasting plate with the 9 flavors of chicken. It was all yummy! I’m gonna come back again for a proper bone-in chicken experience!
Chicken V does Korean beer snacks and fried chicken, and they do it very well!
We only went in because the feisty chicken logo is very cute. We got here at 2:30 for a late lunch on a weekend. Ordered fried rice cake, fried cheese sticks, honey butter half boneless chicken and beer.
Food comes after a small wait, the portions are well and flavours are amazing.
The fried rice cake is chewy and soft, the fried cheese sticks are crunchy and has good cheese pull.
The fried chicken is super delicious. Honey butter is not a common flavour, but they did it so well, it's sweet, not greasy and i can eat that whole plate all by myself!
We loved the place a lot, will come back again!
One of those places you can count on for good accompaniment to beer- Korean Fried Chicken!
Traditional or Seasoned are my go-to choices when visiting.
Take away or stay, the staff are sure to make you welcome.
Might just get yourself on the ‘Wall of Fame’. That’s the display of all those who’ve gone thru 10 whole chicken to early the loyalty freebie!
Edit: Went back 2 weeks ago for a sit down meal... flavoured beer = interesting. Try not to think about the additives added to induce the fruitiness.
The only thing i've tried here so far is the bingsoo, but that didn't disappoint! The mango was tasty, the ice shaved down to a perfect snowy texture and it was overall a good experience! Also definitely down to try their strange beer flavours- coffee beer? Interesting hahahha

The chicken from Chicken V is the divine! The Staff are super friendly and the ambience of the place is a bit geeky- yet fun. The walls are covered with Marvel and DC paraphernalia and they have K-Pop playing on a screen which is fun to watch/listen to.
I took my chicken loving partner here and we ordered the 9 Taster - small portions of all nine chickens. They have a fantastic selection of food as well as drinks (next time I think I’d love to try one of the fruit flavoured beers- maybe peach!). The chickens were delicious- The snow cheese being my favourite. The ‘freaking hot’ chicken was indeed freaking hot but my partner loved this one! We found all the other flavoured very similar and all quite sweet. It would’ve been nice for the soy chicken to be a salty dark soy and the garlic butter to not taste like garlic mixed with sugar. Service was very quick and they were fairly busy the later it got.
Id love to come back and try more of the menu, the fruit beers and one of the ice desserts!
Came here around 12-1 during lunch hour to find it empty with no customers which made me a bit concerned but that was resolved quickly after eating :)
The chef who was also our waiter was very friendly and provided everything we asked hastily. The chicken itself was very good, their onion boneless chicken was very tender and juicy being a great combination. I personally don't like boneless chicken so I told my girlfriend not to order it but really glad she did haha

After trying mad for chicks down the road n ordering the 'wrong' topping there, i smartened up n went for the original half 2.75/5 n extra spicy half 3/5 here at chicken V. All boneless after making sure they are all legs, no breast for me thank you. Happy to say that the extra spicy was indeed fiery, no pulling punches here. But the original was, again, like mad for chicks, sweet 🙈. Serving size, price n quality were all on par, like trying to choose your favourite thumb. I'd lean towards chicken V simply because the bossman provided good service (+0.5) whereas mad for chicks were manned by pretty staff members.
The shallot ramen at $13 was quite exxy as it has no meat (which was what i wanted though). Needed some carb to accompany those boneless chooks. The salty broth did help balance out the sweet orig chooks.

I love this place for the ambiance. homely but the late opening hours keep this place bustling. confusing decor (lots of Marvel references but also strives for a vintage feel. what?) but honestly that just adds to the bedroom comfort of it.
once I dropped in with a friend and we ended up in a dine and dash drama pushed onto us by some shitty people we'd met that night in the restaurant. it was embarrassing and probably seemed rightfully suspicious but the owner(?) handled it graciously with me, which in hindsight is pretty impressive.
great snow bingsoo. $18 is pretty hefty though it tastes delicious. the chicken hits the spot and there's a huge flavour range to choose from. there are dishes that you'd see from general Korean cuisine like deokkbukki, katsu, noodles/soups but expect them to be pretty No Frills.
alcohol! they serve soju, beer, and a tall dispenser of mixed something I haven't had the belly space to order yet. lots of simple snacks based on simple korean street food components ie CARBS to go on the side of your alcohol intake. fried rice cake is literally rice cake dry fried but I order it every time.
straightforward, convenient, accomodating. accepts EFTPOS. abides by liquor venue laws. absolutely quenches the night time snackfood cravings you've grown used to struggling with.
I went there for dinner and this place has made me fall in love with Korean fried chicken! We ordered the Snow cheese flake chicken and the Soy seasoned chicken. Both were fantastic - the chicken was moist, skin was crispy and the flavours were on point. For dessert, we ordered a mango bingsoo which was not bad either (be careful of brain freeze). I would definitely recommend coming here.
LOOOOOOOVE the original flavour fried chicken and their toppokki! The original fried chicken tastes like KFC but BETTER! Have been here for more than 5 times and will defs come again!
Chicken V offer more than just your typical Korean Fried chicken. There's seafood, Korean snacks, and even soup. The set menus, combos, and lunch deals are definitely worth the price and experience.
We ordered the onion chicken and seafood basket- not a common combination, but it taste good. The chicken was crispy, and goes well with beer!

As a Korean, I find that Korean fried chicken can be very very boring and bland sometimes as your typical KFC joint only really specialises on two variations which are either the spicy marinated fried chicken or the original flavour.
Amazingly, Chicken V is quite different and this is probably the only KFC joint in Sydney that serves a huge array of flavours. Product differentiation at its best 👌👌
I was honoured to try the $36 sampler plate which came with nine different flavours. The flavours were: honey butter, spicy, extra spicy, snow flower (cheesy powder?), soy, scallion, onion, curry, and original.
Every flavour was quite good and oh boy, look how beautiful the presentation was... food art 🍗🎨
I enjoyed this fried chicken with some Asahi and Cass. To be hones, I recommend you go with the cass as its a more suitable option for the chicken. The crispiness and chilly flavor couples with the Korean fried chicken.
This place ask gives you complementary radish pickles as standard, but they also have jalapeño pickles! Super cool 😍😍😍😍

Great place, always love their fried chicken, especially the boneless crazy hot flavour one. Also, grape flaovor Soju is highly recommended!
The food was delicious.
The fried chicken were crispy and flavourful, the salad was fresh and crunchy, and the pork bone stew was delightfully tasty.
Definitely going to be returning to try all the other types of fried chicken they have available.
Tasty fried chicken with lots of different sauce choices. Had the snow cheese and sweet and spicy half and half, along with spicy tofu stew. Really liked the stew which had clam meat in it.
The fried chicken variations test really well!!...Bing su is also very good. A good resto in Eastwood. A year later and the food exceeded once more my expectations. Snowflake fried chicken was soft and crispy, while the kimchi fried rice spicy and tasty with a well prepared egg. The lemon beer served in frozen glass and surely matched the fried and spicy food. A must to eat bothe dishes..!!
