An excellent place to grab a bite or coffee! Went here with my friends and absolutely loved the atmosphere, food and service. Waiters were all super friendly, professional and engaging. Shoutout to the waiter called JP for being a top bloke :)
Love the breakfast menu here. Food is good, service quick and staffs are friendly. One of my fav place for breakfast in Melbourne.
Glover station has fantastic food
Amazing friendly happy staff
 This place
It's my favourite coffee and food destination!!!
Great food and coffee, staff are very attentive. Good atmosphere and spacious. Highly recommend!
Had the corned beef brisket roll and was highly impressed. I was happy to know that lunch items could be ordered around breakfast time.
Coffee was great too.
Friendly staff and nice atmosphere. I will recommend this place to others for sure
Great coffee, excellent food and service. Really great way to start the day. Highly recommend.
Best place for brunch in Melbourne. Awesome wait staff- especially Shay!
Menu pretty much as similar restaurants, but the Food was great, lovely presentation.Best Ruben Sandwich i have had in Melbourne.
Love this place. The breakfast salad is delish 👌🏻
I've never had dreams about a breakfast food before, but I can't stop thinking about the lemon posset. Clearly a lot of love and skill involved - fine crafting and friendly faces all round.
Lovely staff, great food and constantly good food.
The best almond milk flat white ever great ambience & friendly service
Food was amazing and staff were wonderful and attentive. Eggs benedict was the best I've had and loved the fresh apple with the ham.
Great coffee, and food. Beautiful venue and excellent, friendly service. Felt like celebs. The beef brisket Benny is a must!

Today, was the second time I have been to Glovers Station in one month. The first time was on a Sunday for brunch and today was for lunch. The food is excellent. It is different and fresh and the flavours are wonderful. The service was a little slow but the food made up for it. Love the Chicken Salad - so delicious. Would not hesitate to come back again and again. Very quant place being a Tudor Petrol Station once upon a time. Well done
Holy crap the eggs menemen here is amazing! Love the new menu, a bit old school meets new school. Can’t wait for the weekend, my new favourite brunch joint.

Glovers Station is hard to walk past without turning heads. Great outdoor space and welcoming vibe that even if you don't wanna eat, you'll grab a coffee, sit and take it all in 😊 they are probably one of my favourite cafe setups around! ☝🏽 the kitchen is the stand out! Its open and well situated for diners to view the chefs preparing their meals. You feel like you're in a fine dining restaurant! 😁 i love wandering into these gems 🙌🏽
.
☑ 7.5/10! ✔
.
👍🏽 HITS - these were delicious! Pancakes were cooked perfectly and the batter was sweet, fluffy and spongey with consistensy 👌🏽 the flavour was on point ☝🏽 subtle hits of blueberry and ricotta in every bite! The complimenting passionfruit curd was a hit for me. Bit of a twist on the normal lemon curd, but the passionfruit tang worked a charm alongside the meringue bites and double cream 😁 every component was delicious on its own and together as the whole dish 🙌🏽
.
👎🏽 MISSES - I have to point out that the meringue bites were very tough and hard to break, which made it difficult to cut. I would have loved a little more passionfruit curd and double cream as well, especially for $21.5 which is quite pricey for the portion you receive 💰 they are the reasons the dish lost a few points, apart from that it was a delicious pancake dish that delivered in the taste department 😎 if you're a sweet breakfast lover then this is for you 🙌🏽
.
💡 TIP - glovers station is also pet friendly with the outdoor seating area! 🐶 Great spot for a saturday morning walk or ride with the family 👨👩👦👦

Hi Guys,
Went here today with my wife for lunch and I have to say the food was incredible, we ate the chicken schnitzel & lamb shoulder with buckwheat salad.
Would highly recommend a visit here as the menu offers an array of options for all with an excellent price point and value for money which you don’t see nowadays with other cafes around Melbourne.
We will definitely be back that’s for sure.
I would have given it a 5 star if the staff member that was serving us was less sarcastic. He thought he was truly hilarious and sorta lessened the experience. Other then that it’s a great cafe. The food is insanely good, will be back for sure
Been here a few times. Service is always prompt and friendly and there's usually at least three menu options I'm torn between when it comes to ordering. Rate the courtyard out the front, especially when the weather is grouse. Would recommend if you're in the area and after coffee or a good feed!
LOVE THIS PLACE! Great location, stunning building & all round the most delicious food!
We ordered the Blackmore Farm Baby Eggplant !! It was incredible 😍 Baker aubergine, poached egg, spiced chickpeas, freekeh, spring onion & white miso tahini dressing (V, DFO)
THEN...Chicken Bao! A Louisiana fried chicken bao with kimchi, avocado, siracha, mayo and fresh corriander |
These chicken baos are probably some of the best I have ever tried!! The chicken was so soft and the crumbs were not too thick nor too crispy. The bao bun was sweet and enhanced the flavours of the chicken. The sauce melted into both the chicken and the bao, which made a perfect combination.
Would love to go back and try more! Highly recommend!
What a great place! Superb coffee. Brilliant service, with a manager (Eli) who makes it pump. Food is beautifully prepared. I’m a regular. 💯
Lovely café in the heart of South Caulfield that specialise in organic free-range food!
Came here today with a friend for lunch. We came around 1 pm and it was quite packed. We sat outside as the weather was nice. We both got a coffee and for food, I ordered the Chicken Bao dish. It came with 3 baos with fried chicken, kimchi, avocado, sriracha, mayo and cabbage coleslaw.
The meal was yum, the chicken was crunchy and the bao was soft and fluffy. The meal left me comfortably full but maybe a little bit expensive for what it was. Regardless, very enjoyable.
The staff member who served us was also quite good - he was attentive and had a smile on his face.
One of my local places, and go to brunch spots in Elsterwick. Due to popularity can often busy on the weekends. I always try something new each time I go.
I went into Glover Station today for the first time and thought it was fantastic... I had one of the best smashed avo's I've had in Melbourne and I was especially impressed with the gluten free bread which the staff recommended. The coffee was 5 stars, I live around the corner so this will definitely become my new takeaway coffee go-to place.
One of the better cafes in south of the river. They just had a new chef come on board so do try the Specials! We tried 4 dishes from the menu and they were all delish! Do try the sashimicado. The wasabi aioli....
Highlights: beautifully plated. FREE sparkling water! Lowlights: the bathroom was outdoors so had to venture out in the cold. 🧤❄️
This is not my first time at Glover's and of course not my last, always love the service everytime. I had the green breakfast bowl on their new menu and it was beyond my expectation. One thing that keeps me coming is the friendly and welcoming staff, even when I just simply drop by for a cup of coffee. Weekends are usually busy so you might have to wait to get a table, but totally worth it
This is the place where breakfast dreams come true. Parking is easy to find (I got there on Saturday 9:55am), did not have to wait for a table, the service was friendly, prompt and unobtrusive, the menu caters for all types of fussy appetites. Just a simple breakkie? Tick. Something more substantial? Plenty to choose from. Want something a bit different? How bout a poke bowl or a sashimicado? (YUM). Overall a fantastic experience. Look forward to coming back.
I recently returned to this lovely, airy cafe for a solo lunch. I had the cured salmon "autumn" salad. It was delicious! I especially liked the huge, tasty capers that were included. The dish was beautifully presented as well, with lots of fresh greens and a perfectly poached egg. It was a sunny day, just made for sitting outside and enjoying some good food. I'll definitely try to get back this way more often.
Glovers Station is a beautifully housed cafe located in Elsternwick. Renovated from an old service station, the place has a rustic yard at the front and very cozy, light-filled interiors.
First up, we ordered the poached ocean trout with quinoa, pickled fennel, avocado puree and poached egg. The perfectly cooked ocean trout was gently flakey, and went really well with the salad below. The crunches from the pepitas, the cranberries and the creaminess of the avo created a perfect mix of textures.
We also shared the Sushimi Pokecado. How adorable is the name of this dish? Props to the chef because this dish really takes good ol' smashed avo to the next level. The pickles were such a creative addition to the dish, adding punches of traditional ginger-umami flavours into the creamy avo and salmon! gingery pickles into the sashimi.
And now, for dessert. We got the Raspberry and Rose Pana Cotta which was such a delight to eat with surprise after surprise waiting for us as we tucked in. Spoiler alert. There was a pana cotta inside the pana cotta! I particularly enjoyed the white pana cotta and my brunch buddy absolutely adored the inner rose pana cotta! And that's not all. Get to the inner layer and you'll fond raspberries tucked in from all the layers of pana cotta! The white chocolate and lime brittle at the bottom carried an additional layer of surprise with the unexpected addition of popping candy! Such a whimsical dessert experience!
Nice place. It is a lovely light airy and open space. An ex local garage that has been nicely converted into a very good cafe/bistro with a pleasant outdoor area at the front. The whole thing hums along nicely. Things started beautifully with complimentary sparkling water. Why more places don’t follow this lead surprises me. There is a sensibly small menu at Glover’s Station. I’m not a vegan but I chose Vegan poke bowl because I liked the description. It’s a fine dish here. Lovely flavours throughout, size just right. It’s a very good tasty dish that makes you feel good eating it. The scrambled eggs on the other hand were nice but needed a small flavour lift in my view. The sashimi poke bowl was very nice with lovely flavours but it was a bit undersized. Our coffees were well made. Staff were efficient and moderately pleasant. I liked it here but wanted to like it more. It’s a nice place and could easily go higher with a few reforms.
A personal favourite for weekend brunch. Food is always delicious and beautifully presented. Coffee is consistently good. The outdoor seating is perfect for bringing along four legged friends during warmer weather.
Always delicious! Also excellent for dog-spotting... I absolutely love the beans with pesto and corn bread but have tried lots of menu items, all delicious, and coffee is reliably great. Occasionally we have had a wait to be seated but only due to it getting super busy on the weekends - if you're early for Melbourne though, no probs!
Service was good, sparkling water to start, simple steak sandwich, a very pleasant brunch location in the sun. Appeared to be dog friendly, everyone enjoyed their various meals and coffees and we left.
Would go again to try other food on the menu if I am ever down this way.
Glovers is all class. Such a great venue and menu to match. This place is always buzzing and there is a reason why. When in Elsternwick, Glovers is a great spot for breakfast, brunch and lunch.
LITERALLY MY FAVOURITE BRUNCH SPOT IN THE WHOLE WIDE WORLD 😭🙌🏼😍 everything's so good, I could come here everyday & never get sick of it. The hollandaise sauce on the benedict is the bestest; the beef in the sandwiches are to die for; the eggs cooked to perfection; the coffee is amaaazing; their summer iced tea is loooveeee and i could go on & on & on! LOVEEEEE GLOVERS STATION AND I PROMISE YOU WILL TOO
Service was excellent and the semolina pumpkin gnocchi was the best gnocchi I have ever eaten. The flavours were wonderful and the pumpkins seeds added great crunch. The watermelon ice tea matched such a perfect sunny day to be sitting outside. I would definitely go back.
I come here ALOT...food is consistency great, coffee fantastic and service is friendly and efficient. Good for groups and couples and dogs (I wish I had a dog). Nice selection of muffins too if you want to push yourself over the edge after a nice breakfast.
Such an appealing place from the outside. The inside is beautiful and simply styled. Its nice big and spacious. The staff are super lovely here and genuine. Great menu with some great options. Loved the idea of having a panna cotta 😋 And coffee delivered.
Glovers Station is an intriguingly attractive café whose red-bricked Tudor-style exterior stands out in the leafy suburb of Elsternwick. Previously a service station, the venue underwent an entire refurbishment to become the contemporary food, drink and leisure haven that it is today.
Cool and stylish but still not too hip cafe, which leads to a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Had the quinoa salad which was very tasty. Coffee was well made too.
When we walked in we were wowed by how large and great the venue is. Service is really friendly and more than happy to help you through the menu. The coffee is great, and the barista board awesome idea. The food is fresh and really well presented. We will return!
We returned, service was great again and so was all the food. Our friends were impressed!!

LOVE THE AMBIENCE, PEOPLE, AND DOUGHNUTS.
The place was really cute and homey! Loved it! The waiters and waitresses were really nice too.
We got the porridge and bircher. Our food was okay. It wasn't anything special than most places.
One thing they got right: doughnuts! The doughnuts were awesome! Got the blueberry coconut donut and it was one of the best donuts I've tried.
Coffee was just amazing and food was amazing too! I ordered traut salmon & qinua salad and it tastes beyond a cafe! Staff was very friendly. I think this cafe is worth visiting.
Beautiful open venue, it's very luminous from anywhere you sit. Staff very nice, food very good. I had the gnocchi and my boyfriend had the chicken salad, both delicious. The only negative is that the gnocchi serve was really small. Overall great place!
The outdoors area is just awesome in sunny day, service was great by an Kiwi guy, the pull pork roll was great, but the the poached trout was way too fishy for me.
We come here often. The food here is consistently excellent and their coffee is strong and creamy. The best thing about this place is their staff who we find very friendly and attentive - even when it's busy (which this place is often). Now it's cooler, an outdoor heating option would be a simple addition to an already great cafe.
Ordered the ox cheek — was absolutely amazing. The meat was so soft! The flavours were quite rich, though. My friend ordered the mushroom ragout and the same could be said of her dish. It was nice to swap meals halfway to have something different, and I would in fact recommend doing so. ambiance was lovely and the staff were super friendly.
This place never fails to disappoint! Complimentary sparkling water and divine waiters! I recommend the benedict and also the mushroom ragout which is extremely tasty. The layout is fabulous, a good place to take the parents or catch up with mates over a few lattes 👌🏻
You have to make a reservation beforehand if you don't want to wait in line. They can get really full and busy during mornings. The best chai latte I've had so far. A little bit pricey but the servings are big.
> Glovers Brekky with chorizo sausage, bacon, tomato, mushroom, braised kale, tomato relish and eggs And The Otway pulled pork roll with fennel, apple slaw, a fried egg + Nan's crackle And The Truffled mushroom ragout, grilled polenta, feta, pickled pumpkin + ponzu vinaigrette <
Glovers station has always been a go to for a coffee catch up, but this time we decided to explore the wonders of their menu and see if the food actually lives up to the same standard as their coffee. Much to our surprise, it definitely did! The portion sizes were huge and the flavours were very unique. We have no words for the big breakky apart from WOW. The overwhelming amount of food that could fit onto one plate was definitely a jaw dropper, as well as how perfectly every flavour mixed together in the mouth. The pulled pork roll was just so delicious and cooked to perfection. The elements were just so succulent and melted in our mouths. The mushroom ragout was also a delicious dish and very unique. Although a little smaller than our big tummies, the dish was overall very good. Besides the great quality of the food, the staff are always so friendly and attentive to everyone's needs, even when there's a massive line.
The breakfastpiggy team
We went here for lunch on a busy public holiday. I had the trout and quinoa salad, which was memorable and delicious. The friends I dined with were equally happy with their meals. I would certainly recommend this cafe to others for very good quality food at very reasonable prices.
Glovers Station is hands down one of my favourite cafes in Melbourne. While waiting for a table is pretty much standard, the staff are super attentive and friendly and I have never felt rushed. The menu is great and there's always something to please everyone. The pesto eggs are a great choice and the sweets counter is always impressive. Great coffee and atmosphere.
I am new to Zomato but asked staff where I can write a review, so I joined as it was worth the review! Loved the atmosphere and friendly staff. The food was delicious and came out quite quickly. The food is well priced also. I Sat inside as it was cold the day I went but look forward to using the lovely front area next time. The cafe's inside area is lovely and tables are well spaced to enjoy a seemingly private meal with your partner. We were greeted at the door by the wait staff and promptly seated. Was overall a very pleasant and yummy experience. I will be back for more. Only negative is that it is so far from my house - but well worth the travel.
Walked in on a busy rainy Sunday to a bright and airy space with cheerful, lovely staff & family/community vibes
🍴: grilled & pickled mushrooms - better than I expected, would have been even better with a lighter/less pickled enoki mushrooms as they were a bit overpowering
🍴: glovers brekkie - huge. Scrambled eggs were fluffy and plentiful, tomato relish was ace, pork sausage was really good, braised kale was a welcome change from most

Hands down the best eggs benedict in Melbourne! Friendly staff are a bonus too. The converted warehouse vibe of the place has a nice feel to it too!
There is a lot to be said for great food. Even more to be said for a great coffee. But when you get staff like the ones at Glovers Station, there is not much else you need in your day. These guys are awesome. Yes, management may have changed, but its the ones on the floor that make the difference. Don't be fooled by change. The food is impeccable. The coffee is crafted. The service is friggen unbelievable.
Caught with a friend at this lovely place. Spacious, great atmosphere, quick service and very friendly attentove staff. I had sous vide chicken salad with charred corn, avo and manchego and she had poarched ocean trout with quinao salad, pickled fennel and poarched egg. They were both very lovely. I would love my sous vide chicken to be a bit more juicier as it was a little bit (just a touch, not drastic) dry. But it was still very good. My friend's poarched troat was perfectly done. Totally enjoyed pur Sunday lunch there. Most definitely a place I will come back again for a good quality and readonably priced meal. Great range of drinks too!
Went here on Monday for brunch with a friend. The set up of this cafe is beautiful. It was an old service station. I love that outdoor area at the front. I had the smoke salmon and poached eggs on rye. It was very tasty. The coffee is also really nice. The desserts in the cabinet look amazing but I didn't have one. The staff were attentive.
This would have to be up there with one of most enjoyable breakfasts I've ever had. The coffee was spot on, the service and the wait staff are attentive and always greeted you exceptionally well. The food was unbelievably great and they don't skimp out by any means on the portions. All in all, this place is bang on with customer service and their kitchen staff. Unreal. Will be back for more.
Been to this café twice now. We think it's the best café we've been to. It has great seating, not crammed in. The service was fast. The staff are so lovely. Coffee was brilliant. The place has a beautiful atmosphere because the staff care about excellent service. Both our visits were for breakfast and the food was beautiful. We found it a little hard to cut the toast but that is such a minor thing. We are telling all our family and friends how good this place is.
Visited Glovers Station on a beautiful Saturday afternoon and found it relatively empty. Yay for us! Customer service was friendly and attentive. After our coffees, which were quite nice we got some nom noms. I ordered the sous vide chicken with corn purée, roasted cherry tomatoes, grilled corn, and tangy avocado purée. It was VERY pleasing to the eye but I was disappointed with the chicken. Most of the chicken was overcooked. The tangy avocado was too tangy and overpowered everything on the plate. My other half ordered the smokey beans with poached egg, chorizo, corn purée, brioche croutons on sourdough. He was very pleased with his choice especially the beans and chorizo. Overall, I found the menu very appealing but overpriced.
LOOOOVED this place to bits! Amazing coffee and service and when it came to ordering it was super difficult because I honestly wanted one of everything - a great problem to have. I want to come back already and it's only been two days! wow, new fave place :)
This cafe is the talk of the town! Always filled with people, Glovers Station boasts a great vibe and we loved our visit here. They have a great menu with a variety of dishes and really fresh produce. The service is fantastic and we also love the fit out of the actual restaurant. Sitting outside on a warm day is just perfection! Our favourite dishes were definitely the house baked beans and the crispy skin salmon (the side of cauliflower gratin is simply to die for!!). The coffee and sweet selection are a must try too! The peanut caramel slice is a must try for those with a sweet tooth!
Sensational! Went there today for the first time. Had eggs benedict, totally different from the run of the mill benny. Absolutely amazing! Try it for yourself! Great service, great food, great coffee! Can't wait to go back!
Been wanting to try this for a while.... heard it was expensive but seems alright.... it's an upmarket cafe... service was very quick and efficient... would be keen to see it operate full steam on the weekend!! Food is innovate but mussel's were bland in a like a tomato soup.... otherwise overall very good... look forward to venturing here again.
Cannot fault this place! Soft shell crab omelette wasn't like anything I'd had before. Cooked to perfection and balanced flavours. The service was on point, everyone was helpful and friendly and we didn't have to wait for anything. Thanks team!
Heard the wait is bad on weekends but weekdays are perfectly fine. Such a big place with great ambience, love it already before tasting the food! Menu changes with the season, we've got the spring menu now. Enjoyable breakfast, just wanted to sit forever & not leave!
My first visit here since under new ownership. Still as delightful as ever. If anything the staff seem happier! Food fresh and homemade and delicious. Staff really friendly and knowledgable. Lovely selection of teas coffees and juices. I look forward to my next visit. Keep it up everyone.
Excellent location, food and drinks are top notch. Good and prompt service, too good a place not to miss your brunch during summer. Food took a while to come and we were offered a free drink but food made up for it.
Beautiful! That's all I can say, beautiful food, beautiful location. It's true, the seating arrangements is great, not sitting on top of each other, can have a decent conversation, staff are friendly and pleasant. The eggs Benedict yum, could have had more Apple to really balance the flavour, but amazing overall. You can even bring your dog and peacefully not annoying other patrons. Will be back
Great venue, friendly staff, nice spacious seating (they don't sit you on top of your neighbour). Our food came out super quick and was delicious! Only reason they didn't get 5 stars was because the eggs benny came on sourdough (not a fan), but perhaps they have other bread options, will find out when we head back there next week!
Can't think of a better place to go during a day filled with sunshine. Located away from the hustle and bustle of a main street, Glovers Station has a unique charm about it, which is enhanced by their lovely staff. Food is top notch here and coffee is a definite must. Strongest iced coffee I've ever had! Yum.
Spacious and comfortable venue. Friendly staffs and prompt service. Food is well presented but the servicing is a little small than normal for the price. Probably have to top up with their dessert to complete a meal. Coffee is decent but the orange juice was a little disappointing. Overall a pleasant experience from the exterior all the way to the food on the table. If the servicing size can be a little bit larger, that would be ideal.
Best food I've had. Every meal that comes out of this place looks fab. Our group loved this place and we rate it up there with the best we have ever eaten at.
What a beautiful venue for a brunch cafe! It was still busy after the peak lunch hour, but getting seats was no problem. The service was friendly and our food arrived very quickly. The seafood mornay omelette was nice although we would have preferred stronger seafood flavours. The grilled and pickled mushrooms on toast was a really delightful dish with great accents of sweet and sour. I thought the flavours were quite intricate and cleverly constructed into a dish.
The outside facade of the cafe reminds me of a charming old cottage that would not be out of place in a fairy tale book. Nestled between shops, it looks grand and inviting when it comes into view. Walking in, the feeling of grandeur continues with the bright and cavernous space. Our waiter was the owner of handsome looking beard and had a personality to match his beard. We definitely took a liking to him. And we most definitely took a liking to the coffee here. Hints of caramel were present in our perfectly balanced cup of latte. Food didn't disappoint either. Juicy chunks of beef sandwiched between two crispy buttery bun, I had food envy looking at my partner's meal. The poached ocean trout was great for clean spring eating but portion size could be a bit more generous. Still, I couldn't be more satisfied with my cheeky mid-week cheat meal brunch.
Outstanding service on a busy Sunday morning! From the greeting, to the table service to the register - everyone was warm and welcoming. The food was super yum also, the eggs Benedict was our fave. Cosy and modern interior. Recommended!
This place is great. Friendly staff. Quick to be seated, quick to take orders and food arrives well quick. Best pot of tea ever, always the perfect temp. Coffee is fantastic. The entire menu is tasty and good serving sizes, just the write size. The manager/owner is always there and is chatty even when busy. We always walk away happy.
Food and chai always delicious at Glovers. We love sitting in the lovely front courthouse as inside is far too busy for me. It's also entertaining to see the staff in the kitchen cooking too.
Love the venue. Really open and bright. We were lucky enough to be seated right away. Drinks came relatively quickly, but it was a while before anyone came to collect our food order. In saying that, our food came out pretty quick.
Menu is a bit hipsterish for my personal taste, but I would go back.
Recommend if you're in the area
Friendly service. Good range of menu items and plenty of tables available. Lovely meals which come out pretty quickly. The chilli scrambled eggs were full of flavour.
We were there on Sunday the 10 th of July. I don’t know who’s the current owners but stuff was under serious pressure! It was only one girl on a coffee machine, two people on a floor and one at the cashier and a lot of customers. Well… they tried their best but it was too hard to satisfy all of us. I just hoping this place will keep great service like it was before.
Fantastic cafe perfect for brunch. Excellent menu with some unusual and enticing choices!
Coffee is also excellent. Large indoor space and some shady outdoor seating out front under the trees.
Very busy on weekends so definitely worth calling ahead to reserving a table.
Highly recommended.
