OMG...I've found heaven....yummy yogurts and incredibly delicious toppings of grains, nuts, berries, chocolate bits, caramel...everything to top it off!!!!
Best frozen yogurt in Melbourne ! Nothing taste as close as this .
Yum yum yum yum so delicious much better than others in the area :)
just want to say how great this place is priced well and great service, the young lady there Alex helped with everything great to see such a young person with such great customer service and a big smile on her face.....
amzing froyo! best ive ever had. will definitely be bak since I cant take the store home !
Great place wiggles. 2nd time now and the kids love it.
Delicious yogurt. The kids and I will be back again soon!
Went with a Groupon, did not need to. The prices are not exorbitant. You can enjoy a bowl of yogurt without going broke. Customer Service was good, happy to answer any questions and offer to try flavors if you are unsure. Flavors themselves were good, topping choices are a bit limited for my liking though but are on the healthier side. Got a small tub and a Superbowl. The Superbowl was packed full of a fruit smoothie and packed with lots of fresh fruits, but wasn't sweet enough for me. The Small tub was yummy with some Coconut and Berry Yogurt and few different toppings.
Definetly one of the better fro go places I've been to and I've visited most of them. Great space, has a kids area, toilet access, free wifi and a charging station for your phone. Perfect hangout!
As for the product itself, a slight bit Ivey compared to creamier and Greek yoghurty type of fro to places. But it still has great flavor, one of my favourite froyos in terms of taste to pair with other toppings. There are heaps of toppings you don't normally see at the other places but they still fall in line with the norm of sweets and chocolates. Definetly recommend this place!
Their place are very nice and comfy, service was friendly and efficient, and the yoghurt, considering that its healthy (are vegan, dairy free, low sugar and gluten free) the taste are great. Not many choices on their toppings but its surely different from other yoghurt places, they have granola, protein nut boost, gluten free mix, sound and taste healthy. For our 2bowls, we spent 20.30AUD, a little bit more to the expensive side but worth it :)
Kid friendly fro yo joint along Glen Huntly Rd near elsternwick station. Sit in the front and you get adult sized chairs, sit in the back for children sized chairs and colouring equipment and books (great idea to keep the kids occupied), and a view over a fabulous mural on a nearby building. Not sure how pricing worked here, I paid $5 for a fairly small yoghurt and the staff members didn't inform me of pricing or the weight of my yoghurt or anything. Variety of flavours and toppings typical to any fro yo store.
I tried Ilya for the first time this afternoon and was pleasantly surprised, especially after being a Yo Ziggy customer from across the road but I think I have now officially converted! Frozen yoghurt is always a challenge since I am dairy-free however Ilya offered three flavours suitable for me. I opted for the soy salted caramel and was hesitant however it tasted nice! The choice of toppings were more on the healthier side which was good, though still offered the cheekier goodies. It is more on the expensive side being $2.90/100g. The atmosphere was nice, light and open with a kids play area in the back room though I did notice the customer service was lacking as the young girls behind the counter did not offer any assistance, especially when I wanted to ask questions about the flavours and potentially try one out when most of the other frozen yoghurt stores offer a "try-before-you-buy" taster but luckily I enjoyed the flavour I chose. Will most likely to return to see if any other dairy-free flavours are introduced!
Kudos to ilya for attempting to sell so many flavours of fat free and stevia based frozen yogurt, Unlike other places where if they at all sell fat free and sugar free, artificial sweeteners are used.
Given the complexity of making fat free and sugar free (almost) froyo it would be totally unfare to compare ilya to any other froyo place. I'm so glad it's in my neighborhood for me to be able to indulge.
I didn't use any toppings, i know that's the best part of froyos, but i purely wanted to taste froyo flavours. All were good, i particularly liked lychee, mixed berry, coconut and salted caramel. Also the place has a funky and welcoming decor.
Also you may find ilya a tad bit expensive than the rest of the froyo places, but i think the concept justifies the price.
Love this place, great vegan options. The ILYA card is stupid it takes forever to add up points for anything. Good choice of toppings, wish there was more vegan ones other than fruit.
Salted caramel and vegan latte are the best flavours.
Staff are always friendly but look over worked, its always busy. When will the manager put more staff on. Always one person running around filling up the machines and people piling up at the counter. I feel so sorry for them.
Good taste would recommend.
Cant believe im saying this but prefer Ilya over Yochi...their yoghurt is sugar free and sweetened with stevia which is a plus & completely organic. They also have a larger range of healthy toppings though I tend to go for the naughty ones most of the time. The girls there were super nice and helpful too! Cant wait for warmer weather so I can enjoy it on weekends again :)
Visited today, the earl grey, cookie dough, chocolate, coconut and soy latte were really good, but the original tasted a bit off to me. I did not like the original, but it was great when mixed with other flavours. Great selection of toppings too, even though I didn't have any. My favourite is to mix the chocolate, coconut and cookie dough. Love the design of the place, very cute and cosy, I feel like I could hang for hours there. The girl serving us was really friendly! Overall an enjoyable experience.
The best froyo in Melbourne. Well done Ilya! The vegan flavours are clearly marked and delicious. So far I've had dairy free latte, chai and chocolate flavours.
20 out of 10. Same as yochi flavour but much healthier and better range of toppings!
Absolutely delicious!. I eat froyo so often, to the point where I can finally distinguish the difference between the good and the bad froyo.
Ilya froyo is absolutely delicious! The froyo is perfectly sweetened with stevia and the flavours taste natural.
The interior design of the shop is cosy, and will leave you wanting to stay in for longer.
The staff team are always so helpful in recommending the best and most popular flavours to choose from.
10/10 would recommend!
Underestimated how good it would be! Although containing no cane sugar (bonus points) it tastes exactly like the real stuff, and in my opinion- best frozen yoghurt I've ever had! (Big call)
Cookie dough and original tart were the winners for me and toppings such as halva and New York cheesecake finished it perfectly. worth the trip down
Great quality froyo. Great quality yoghurt. Toppings are good but could still be improved on. best quality froyo ive had.
Excellent & improved flavours. I have loved frozen yogurt for a very long time. This one is my favourite! The flavours are rich without being too sickly. The calories are low because of the mixture of sugar and stevia. It is organic and they have vegan if you want that.
I really love indulging here!
*** I should add that if you visited this place last year the flavour wasn't as good - seems they have really improved on that and have now perfected it!!
Wow!! Absolutely amazing!! Coconut and lime were fantastic. Great friendly service too
Wow! Tastes just like gelato. Love it. Coconut and choc are faves
Loved it!!!. Best frozen yogurt I've had in Melbourne. Great staff.....extremely friendly and I loved the light airy feel of the shop. Kids room out the back is a definite winner!!! All the delicious yogurt flavours the staff freely handed out for tasting made it hard to choose..... and they had all the toppings I wanted and more. It's my new favourite Frozen Yogurt place in Melbourne - I think I'm addicted
Wow! There's frozen yogurt and then there's Ilya. All healthy 98% fat free, grest flavours and amazing unique toppings... try the home made protein boost. Delish, my favourite frozen yogurt place has arrived. Ill be back for sure!!!
Hey guys! So recently I was invited to Frochella, an event hosted by Ilya Frozen Yogurt . There were so many food bloggers around and I was an admirer of so many of them. Natasha, owner of Ilya Frozen Yogurt , assisted us when Jan and I came. If you think that Ilya stands for, I love Yogurt Always.. you are wrong. She told us that Ilya was a Russian Scientist that pioneered the search of probiotics and incorporate them into yogurt products. The result was that it helps to give you good bacteria and improve your digestion and overall a healthier immune system. Natasha also mentioned that Ilya uses one of the lowest levels of sugar in the frozen yogurt market with lesser than a mere single percent. Ilya's yogurt is made onsite using unprocessed sugars, and downing on Stevia instead. They are also heavy supporters of Australia's local farms, using only the freshest organic milk for their yogurt. The idea is for the frozen yogurt to stay delicious and healthy without compromising on tast
Ilya Frozen Yoghurt Elsternwick is one of many frozen yoghurt spots that’s opened up across Melbourne over the past year. I was invited to Ilya’s “Frochella” event to sample their offerings and find out what makes Ilya stand out from the competition.
Just last week I was invited to an exclusive frozen yoghurt festival event called Frochella (Froyo Coachella, get it?) hosted by Ilya Frozen yoghurt in Elsternwick. Ilya was founded 11 months ago by Natash and Jason, both foodie enthusiasts who came from a corporate background. With nothing to lose and a thirst for innovation, setting up a business in the booming food and hospitality industry was the direction the pair decided to head down. And then my friends, Ilya was born. The frozen yoghurt store is still young, just shy of it’s one year birthday. To celebrate its success approaching it’s one year mark of opening the cofounders decided that it was a good idea to host a yoghurt tasting event inviting foodie lovers from both the blogging and instagramming world to taste test and provide some ideas and feedback on their forever evolving business model. With a room filled with cameras and conversation revolving around our love of food and favourite places to dine, the night was a fun a
So happy to have such a wonderful frozen yogurt place in my area! The shop is always clean, and they have a wide variety of flavours, catering to multiple dietary requirements. The toppings selection is unique, and they all compliment the delicious frozen yogurt. Prices are very reasonable for the quality of food and service. You are always served with a smile! Great for kids, 100% recommend coming in.
Finally got around to trying this froyo parlour the other day after living locally for a while now. I really enjoyed their frozen yoghurt, especially the chocolate and strawberry flavours. I'm glad there is a healthier alternative to icecream in the area.
It's definitely not the best I've ever had and it is a little pricey, however it's a treat you just can't go wrong with on a hot Summer day!
Was served by a nice girl named Laura! She helped me pick a flavour when I got confused
Favourite FroYo in melbs. Sugar conscious, delicious, and crayons.
