This is more like it. A really nice setting, friendly and very funny staff and amazing food. We have driven past hundreds of times and never been in and silly us.
The pizzas were all amazing (group of 6) and were one size fits and fills all. The Chicken Parma was perfect. Right size, right portions of chips and a great dipping sauce.
The service was amazingly quick, the staff attentive and very interactive but not too much, and all up a great night out.
Too full for dessert, but guaranteed to be back.

I love the old Gennaros - but the new one is even better! Some great vegetarian options, insanely quick service and super quick delivery. The pizza is excellent!!

What better way to celebrate than with a dinner at Genarros in Eltham. A large, spacious, yet homely venue that serve divine Italian cuisine.
The staff were amazing and so accommodating to my friend and I. It really allowed for us to feel extremely comfortable In this amazing restaurant.
Both of us decided to go for the ‘Grilled salmon’ served with lemon and caper sauce, broccolini, confit potato and coriander. The salmon was perfectly charred and fell apart as I put my fork through it. The addition of the lemon and caper sauce provided both a sour and salty element to the dish and really cut through both the vegetables and the salmon itself. The vegetables were fresh and cooked perfectly, with a little crunch.
On the side we had the Garden salad and the vegetables side. The ‘garden salad’ came out as a generous portion, with it also have a lovely mustard tasting dressing on top. While the ‘Vegetables side’ which was a mix of broccolini, tuscan cabbage, roast potato and dutch carrots, was fresh, filling and a perfect complement to the grilled salmon.
What a wonderful experience I had at Genarros Eltham. A perfect place for any occasion. Whether it be birthdays, date night or family gatherings, its definitely the place to be.
Nice local restaurant with reliably good food. On our last visit we arrived super early and the waitress was a little run off her feet answering the phone so she forgot a few things (replacement water, etc.) but was very apologetic and all good once a second waitress arrived. The chefs in the pizza kitchen were cheerful and friendly. I had the pumpkin fettuccini dish which was delicious, as was my partner's gnocchi. This restaurant has a nice atmosphere whilst still being very accommodating for families, which is a rarity! We'll visit again.
Great customer service, great atmosphere and great food! We love it here. Always a guaranteed good meal and to receive good customer service. We will be back!

I really enjoyed my experience here. The pizza was delicious, it catered well for families and had a wide choice on the menu. All four of us were happy with our dishes that ranged from entrees, pizza, pasta and meat and salads. We were a late booking but the staff were friendly and helpful. We will definitely return.
A lovely suburban restaurant that catered to our group of 18. The pizzas were to die for and cooked perfectly in the wood fire oven - simple flavours done right! The pastas were a generous portion and not drowning in sauce. The calamari entree is enough to share between a couple of people and is salted with from what I could taste was lemon flavoured salt. They were soft and crispy. The fruit tingle cocktail was devine and a steal for $12. The lamb shank fell off the bone and was extremely tender. We were very pleased with the staff, service and food!
Gennaros is amazing! Best, friendliest service around. Food is always fresh, delicious and tasty. We have followed Gennaro from restaurant to restaurant. They have the best pizza and Nutella calzone but I am always too tempted by the delicious prawn pasta!! Not sure who the people are reviewing if it's under 4 stars but it's not here - it's probably the competitors!!
Don't listen to all the bad reviews on here. We ate here on a Friday night, the joint was packed and Gennaro's takeway was pumping, the woodfired pizza's are by far the best anywhere in the area, actually they could win awards they are that friggin good.
The owner Gennaro was cooking them so maybe the bad reviews were when he wasn't there. Do yourself a favour, go down to Gennaro's and order there pizzas...they are bloody magnificent and what real pizza's should taste like, amazing dough made from fine flour, fresh ingredients and not much of them like the crap you get from most pizza joints especially dominos etc. Nice bloke also

Not sure about the rest of the menu but i wouldn't order anything else, recommend the Gennaro's special....friggan magnifico!!!!!

Gennaro's is back!!! Same amazing pizza and pasta. Great to walk into a restaurant and feel truly welcomed. Had the Gennaro's pizza and ricotta and pumpkin ravioli which was on the specials board. Also definitely get the dessert tasting plate for two people which not only tastes great but is also presented beautifully. Could not recommend this place more!!
