We can't recommend Ballara highly enough! The venue is absolutely beautiful, there are so many great places to take wedding photos including the lovely gardens and lake.
We were also extremely impressed by how helpful the staff were leading up to and on the day - they made sure we kept to time and had anything we needed at all times. They were incredibly attentive and ensured that every little detail was taken care of - they made the experience so easy and fun for us.
The food was delicious and with very generous portions! We especially loved the pork belly. We had many guests come up to us on the night to say how much they loved the food.
The entire team at Ballara were so easy to deal with. Even after 2 postponements they made it an easy transition and never a hassle. We did ceremony only and photos. Our wedding day was magical & our guests were comfortable. The gardens were pristine and look stunning in our photos.
The only thing that let us down (hence not a 5 star review) was the music was way too low for the certificate signing & exit of the chapel. We are lovers of music and the songs we chose had significant meaning to us. To not have that mood set by the music really disappointed me.
All in all the Chapel at Ballara allowed us to have a ceremony in a beautiful setting that was exactly what we were looking for. Thank you

We could not have been happier with our choice to have our wedding at Ballara.
From the moment we first got there for a tour, all the staff were lovely and welcoming, they gave great advice and took the time to answer all of our questions. We booked our original date the same day we first looked at the venue because we knew it was the one.
Across about 18 months and two wedding dates, the team were always quick to respond to our queries and so flexible and accommodating with our plans. Postponing our wedding due to covid was not stressful at all thanks to the wonderful team at Ballara. Being a family run business, it is very clear that they genuinely want your day to go ahead without a hitch and provide so many options when it comes to postponing to meet your requirements.
We left our final meeting 2 days before the wedding feeling so looked after and confident after going through our final arrangements with Loretta - she is amazing and so organised.
When I arrived ready to walk down the aisle Loretta and Jan were both there to help keep everything on track and Jan was even helping to calm my nerves moments before I walked down the aisle.
We were constantly looked after throughout the day with drinks and whatever else we needed and did not have to worry about anything at all.
The food was INCREDIBLE. The menu is huge and overwhelming because everything looks so good, but that is a great problem to have. We have had guests contact us over the last few days raving about the food.
Thank you all so much for making our day so special, we will definitely be back in the future for other events as we just loved it here!
We had our wedding at Ballara and it was just magical. The staff were simply incredible and so supportive even through the unfortunate postponement. The grounds are just stunning and speak for themselves but the staff love what they do and it just adds that extra level of love on a special day.
We are so happy to have had our wedding at Ballara Receptions. I remember when we first looked at 3 Venues, ballara being one of them. I always had my heart set on this venue. It’s so beautiful and could not fault anything. Staff at Ballara and especially Popy the function manager just had everything perfect to what we wanted.
Our guests kept telling us how beautiful the food was, and we were so grateful with how much food they provided too, no maccas run for anyone hehe.
Overall want to thank Ballara for a perfect day, these photos show just how happy we are. 😊

Attended nephew's wedding. Excellent all-in- one location; chapel, picturesque setting for photos, and reception room. From what I saw the attention provided to the wedding party by Ballara was outstanding and as a guest I received amazing service (thanks Hannah!). Enjoyed the food.
The most beautiful and magical place to get married!! With the most supportive, warm and welcoming staff. We would recommend Ballara 1000 times to any engaged couple. Stacey took care of us from day one and ensured everything was perfect on our special day, and Loretta was an amazing bridal host ensuring that no one needed to stress and everyone had what they wanted during the night. Ballara are also DOG FRIENDLY!! We brought our beautiful Rosie who stayed for both ceremony and reception and it was just perfect! Thank you a million to Ballara Receptions, and for the lifelong memories we will now cherish forever!
