A tiny little hole, very easy to miss, on a quite street in Elwood is beautiful and rustic.
What makes this modern Cambodian fusion serving cafe good is the Food that is finger-licking-good. We ordered a Mocha, Hot Chocolate, Golden Latte, soft-shell crab burger, lemongrass chicken naan, crispy avo. OMG, both, the Naan and Soft shell Crab were juicy, yummy and filling. Crispy avo was DELISCIOUS but the portion was too small (and left my friend asking for more).
Ideally, would have rated it at 4.5 but then the current rating scale doesn't allow us to do so.
Total value for money....and the staff is very very friendly.
Oh wow! WOW! Let’s start with the crowd outside when we got there one Saturday arvo. Luckily they were all waiting for takeaway coffees and thus we got a table immediately. Seated right next to the kitchen gave us some pretty amazing insight into the chefs’ world. I have to say the deco and food “theme” confused us but didn’t fail to impress us nevertheless. It was a hard choice as they all sounded so good but we finally settled on the duck scotched eggs and the spicy fried eggs. Our juices arrived first and were great large serves (just the right amount of sugar I needed after a big workout before!). The presentation of the food was pretty spectacular and well as the flavours. As Asians we were quite happy with the chilli and flavours and omg the kaffir rice! We definitely will return just to try a few more items on the menu. The service was lovely and the entire operation very efficient. Thanks for a lovely brunch Mr Tuppy!!
The service staff are really friendly and helpful. Best brunch I had in ages. Love the Asian flare. The pumpkin waffle is to die for. Definitely will be back here again. Yummy Nom Nom Nom~!!! 😍😍😍
Mr Tuppy is one of those places I always intend to visit for brunch but then never actually get there! However, I have been several times for a drink and a snack and these guys do really great coffee! Their flourless orange cake is also delicious.
It's a fairly small cafe, with a simple bare brick, industrial style fit out. The menu looks exciting and I do really want to try it one day. It can get busy, but don't be put off by the queues at the door, this is often people waiting for take away coffee and if you push through the crowd you'll usually find a table!
Loaded fries! Just came here for a snack and the loaded fries were just perfect, they had a little kick and were exactly what we felt like! Staff are super nice aswell! Will go back to try a main soon!!
My favourite place for breakfast, pretty much everything is amazing!! The staff are always really friendly and helpful too. Love that this place is just at the end of my road.
Amazing food and great service! My partner and I are regulars and we love going their for brunch or a coffee.
Their smoothies are the best in Melbourne:)

Brunch with an Asian flare. Perfect for Melbourne. Very surprised and excited to find this is my local cafe. The smashed avocado with nori flakes and poached eggs is excellent and a really refreshing break from the norm. Definitely coming back to sample the rest of the menu. Other features; great coffee, chilled tunes and wifi.

OMG, amazing! We tried here on local recommendations and our expectations were surpassed.
It's a super-friendly joint, where one of the main attractions is watching the poor chef work his butt off in his tiny kitchen. What comes out is awesome, and beautiful. We don't know how he does it.
The menu is inventive and does a great job fusing east and west flavours. There are all the standard breakfast things, but with interesting twists - I.e. the brick Benedict with pork terrine, sriracha mayo and pickled cabbage. The seasoning is spot on, the serving sizes are generous, and the prices are low for the Elwood area.
Oh, and the coffee is good too.

The delish pastrys are worth every penny! Since moving to the other side of the city, my day is never the same without a coffee from Mr Tuppy to start the day. The vibe is great, and I love the selection of fresh flowers as you walk in the door! The service is lovely and personable. It's always been my morning coffee stop, so am yet to dine for the a sit down meal

We have been to many cafes in Melbourne but the passion of owner Dan and Kim is only surpassed by the quality of food they produce. It's a cafe yes but top notch grub in every respect.
Should keep it secret to us locals but that would deny them the success it deserves.
Treat yourself get "Tuppied" you won't regret it. A "Plain Jane" burger..... nothing plain about it 😁
I am loathe to bring attention to this place, for fear it will soon be overrun. In the swarming cafe culture that is Melbourne, some things you'd just rather to yourself.
Hands down the coffee of choice in the neighborhood - if you've missed it for whatever reason, try another neighborhood. The service is warm & top flight, family owned & operated & it shows in the care they place on their customers. A very eclectic menu, with some Asian fusion items that simply can not be passed up. After a dozen years in New York City, I can say with authority the pastrami Reuben with kimchi will stack up against anything you'll find in New York. A 10-year search calls it the undisputed best in Melbourne, by an unassailable margin. You might never have anyone else's after trying it.
An intimate & comfortable venue for breakfast, brunch, or just a coffee, again & again. But please be kind, & respect the neighborhood…
Food and coffee great here. Great to see the transformation from a simple coffee shop and newsagent to a cafe. We went for brunch and had the smashed avocado with nori chips and soft shell crab burger. Both dishes had an Asian "fusion" twist and tasted great! Coffee also great. Definitely recommend!

Absolutely love Mr Tuppy. The food, coffee and staff are amazing. The fruit toast is delicious - I'm addicted! Mushroom French toast is scrumptious - it's no surprise it's won awards. I feel so lucky that this is my local.
I visit this place when visiting family just round the corner. Food looks great, but am yet to try it, friendly service and pretty good coffee too! On a narrow strip where there is more than 1 coffee place, it says a lot that this place always seems to be busy. Local family swear by it!
New favorite place! I tried the award winning mushroom dish which was very yummy. I can see why it won awards. Definitely worth trying. My friend had the waffles which were beautifully presented. Coffee and juices are really good too. Been here a few times for takeaways too. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. All it's missing is some seating outside.
This is my new favourite place. I've been about 6 times now. Awesome food. Try crunchi nori avocado with poached eggs. It's wild!
Don't judge this place by its rustic-grunge decor.

So great having this cafe at the end of our street. The menu is fantastic with specials. Asian inspired food, fresh and tasty. Such a little Elwood gem. The staff are great but the food is amazing. A must try.

This place is an absolute gem! You're guarenteed to always be welcomed by a super cool, super friendly staff member. The ingredients are all so fresh and the recipes are cafefully created with unique and unexpected ingredients. The goat satay pie made in house blew my mind, not to mention the gorgeously coloured asian slaw that was served alongside it... papaya, green mango, chilli, corriander, lime and many other delicious things.
The pumpkin and coconut cake is so tasty and sweet alongside a coffee thats flavour and silkyness is on point. This would have to be my favourite cafe in Melbourne atm 😊 Do yourself a favour and check it out! Happy eating xo

Friendly service. Good range of menu items and plenty of tables available. Lovely meals which come out pretty quickly. The chilli scrambled eggs were full of flavour.
We were there on Sunday the 10 th of July. I don’t know who’s the current owners but stuff was under serious pressure! It was only one girl on a coffee machine, two people on a floor and one at the cashier and a lot of customers. Well… they tried their best but it was too hard to satisfy all of us. I just hoping this place will keep great service like it was before.
Fantastic cafe perfect for brunch. Excellent menu with some unusual and enticing choices!
Coffee is also excellent. Large indoor space and some shady outdoor seating out front under the trees.
Very busy on weekends so definitely worth calling ahead to reserving a table.
