Had the $12 steak on Monday night. It was a very generous serving. Excellent steak, beer battered chips which is the standard I go by.
Was quiet which wasn’t bad for an early Monday dinner. So another good steak night that I would recommend.
I had plans to have dinner with a friend and she suggested we head along to open mike night which was QUITE the experience! Some talent for sure but we also witnessed a rather hilarious act. Thought Ashton Kutcher was about to pop out for a throwback episode of Punk'd. Needless to say free entertainment alongside my tasty burger. The food was quite cheap with majority of dishes hovering around $15-$20 and quite filling pub grub style choices. A chill casual atmosphere saw the place full of locals eating their value meals. Definitely a winner on Wednesdays if you are after a fun night and a bargain feed
The most famous mid-week Parma in Elwood. Classic menu and plenty of choices behind the bar. Different nights have different offers and there is a good range of live music. Food is value for money.
Not sure what to not like about this venue. Amazing staff, food service and atmosphere. Best beer selection in Elwood. Check their Specials they are are fantastic. There is always something different on at the Elwood Lounge whether you're in for a quiet drink or a game of pool all the way too listening to open Mic acts or Live Gigs. Very much a Hidden Melbourne Gem. 10/10.
Awesome $12 steak night! What a valued meal with 250g porterhouse steak and served with chips & salad with your choice of sauce too.
Good vibes, friendly staff and relax ambient. Will come back here again for sure.
The food is really tasty and the service is great. Went for a chicken parma and my friend had the Mexican - both really generous servings and the chips were terrific. The atmosphere is pleasant.
Best value meals in Elwood, always delicious, so fast and absolutely excellent service! Amazing big breaky on a Saturday and Sunday! Give it a go and you'll become a regular!!
Is a lovely place and does great with groups! Had a group of 14 there the other night and they have these amazing platters, which is made up of things off the tapas menu good value for what you get ($25 per platter with 3 options) staff were a little casual but nice :) would definitely go back!
Best roast I've ever paid for. Everything was tasty and now every Sunday I find myself craving one. Laid back venue with a cool back beer garden.
Best pub food around! Especially Monday steak night! $10 long necks too! What more can u ask for?!

If You Go Down To Elwood Tonight. Great to see that The Lounge gets the 80% rating on this site that it so justly deserves.
The trouble with some Elwood types is that they are so chichi that they don't recognize a culinary gem when they see it unless it has the fatigued walls and oh so cleverly recycled hard rubbish furniture and everything-served-on-an-individual-bread-board-even-your-cappuccino which appears to be the obligatory style de jour for all new hipster eateries in Melbourne.
Kumar's Elwood Lounge is, by comparison, good old skool Melbourne pub and all the better for it.
From the fabulous everything-you-could-imagine-in-it big breakfast to the $8 soups to the $10 Tuesday roast and the $6 Singha Longknecks before 6pm, as well as their own very fine "natural" beer in bottles, the long is an old fashioned mi case es su casa, home from home.
But, never fear, if you are a dyed-in-the-black-skinnies-wearing hipster, there is also plenty for you to enjoy.
For instance, just as an example, if you have not already missed it check out delight full and delightfully sexy punk pop poppet Peta Evans-Taylor there, for instance on Saturday 8th of June at 9pm.
And it even has a real log fire and a fantastic local yoga studio, Yoga Hub, next door but one.

Great drink specials and daily food specials too. Only every been there on a Tuesday night for there $9 Roast night which is usually genererously cut roast lamb served on a bed of roast veggies and covered in pretty nice gravy. We've also tried the Nachos which is pretty good too and a huge serve! The bar staff on the other hand need an additude adjustment and just seem plain uninterested, pretty much service with a frown. They do how ever have a love seat outside in the beer garden which is fun to sit n swing on weeeeeee
Great vibe. We've visited Elwood Lounge mainly for a drink and some food after work. The live bands are hit-and-miss, but the spectacle is still fun regardless. There can be a bit of a wait for tables and service, but that doesn't really matter thanks to the switched-on staff, atmosphere and informal etiquette regarding the use of the pool tables and seating. The pub food is tasty if a little overpriced for the quality (about $18 for a burger) so we recommend programming the different daily Happy Hour food and alcohol specials into your calendar for real value-for-money. If you are new to Elwood, drop in and meet some locals!
Best breakfast ever and great tunes!. Spanish influenced and tasty good valued brunches make this a definate favorite! Love sipping the beautiful coffee in the courtyard too and chatting with friendly staff. Night time meal and music deals look good too!
I love coming here for a drink. Long neck deals are good and daily specials are a decent feed for around $10.

$12 parma night at the Elwood Lounge is simply the best!! Awesome price for a yummy, hearty dish. Thursday nights have never been better. Also the smashed Avo with poached eggs in top is a brilliant way to enjoy a weekend brunch, and it's also only $12 and absolutely delicious. The vegetarian big breaky is also tasty and filling! Oh and the Sunday roast is warming and scrumptious!
Wednesday night open mic night, $10 burgers and an $8 long neck beer. Really can’t go wrong. Food was good and service friendly. Got a nice backpacker vibe about the place with a couple of pool tables and a outdoor garden/courtyard
$10 weekend breakfast, absolutely unbeatable!! To add, the selection of hot sauces are better than any venue around, which, if you’re anything like me, makes a meal. Outdoor area is perfect, and inside with two pool tables is very good at night. Only bit to add for breakfast, would be, salt and pepper grinders and bit more love for coffees
Stopped off on our Sunday morning cycle ride, having noticed the Big Brekkie deal on a previous visit. Well worth the detour for this amazing, good value, full on Breakfast. Helpful friendly service too, seems inexplicable that we were the only ones in there on a Sunday morning. The long black coffee I had was also excellent.
Cool old school venue..live duet was cool last Sunday evening ,great chilled vibe staff friendly also.
