Review Genesis Vietnamese Cuisine - Epping

My bf’s nostalgic restaurant. Affordable price, food has homemade feel to it. The portion was perfect. Nothing was overly done.

Very clean little place for nice Vietnamese food.

Meat is undercooked, portions are tiny and the food is quite bland. The extra large pho is the same size as regular at other restaurants. Pho sam on other side of epping station is much better value for money and taste!!!

Best pho in the area hands down. My wife's family is Vietamese so she's always had access to great authentic food. Growing up out West where in my opinion has the best Viet food in Sydney, even Australia (big claims I know) we moved to the Hills for the community however were left struggling to find great Vietnamese food. After trying almost every Vietnamese shop in our surrounding suburbs we stumbled upon Genesis. Owned and operated by a lovely husband and wife duo - the Husband cooks and eats pho Every Single Day. We tried it and with a picky 3 year old, this place quickly became a winner as she smashed her dinner. She's grown up eating Vietnamese food but if we don't have time to cook a 6 hour broth, then this is easily the next best thing!

Very delicious soups (we've been many times now), and incredibly clean. A lot of locals love it.

The best beef pho I’ve ever had, staff are friendly and nice.

Been an Epping local for 20 years. The food is consistently fresh, good portions and great value. The couple that run it are kind, humble and they cook with love and you can taste that in their food. I've eaten at some of the best restaurants in Sydney and in the world (pre-covid) and I just absolutely love the food here.

Little hidden place. Pho was delightful and spring roll was very crispy. Soup was genuine and full of meat flavor. If you feel like pho in Epping, definitely this place is the one to try.But they have no consistency on opening hrs.Often they close early and be prepared with cash if you are eating alone cause they have a minimum charge for eftpos and card user.

More like home cooked Vietnamese pho than the typical fare at the more established restaurants. Not complaining... food is decent enough but just pointing this out.

Friendly and efficient.

Thought it can get abit warm and stuffy on hot days.

I am a pho sam faithful, but was desperately craving pho last night and pho sam was closed for Easter. Took a gamble and ordered beef pho - was totally delighted! Nothing fancy, just good hearty pho with lovely fresh beef.

Weekly pho craving. A weekly favourite with Bae. Heard about this place from word of mouth. Best pho in town. Takeaway is packaged so good. Great value. Friendly family business, always friendly. Hole in the wall kind of place. Spring rolls are delicious. Pho is amazing. Can’t go wrong!

This small restaurant is hidden from street view by water fountain/garden features and therefore the area is normally rather quiet here.

Had a grilled pork & spring roll rice vermicelli bowl ($13) - it's not as good as the rice vermicelli at Pho Sam but the spring rolls ($4.80 for 4, or order with rice vermicelli) are awesome and definitely the highlight for this restaurant. They're not wrapped in the usual spring roll pastry (rather lattice-like) and come in pork or vegetarian versions.

Honestly, the best Vietnamese I have ever eaten (and I've been to Vietnam). Our office has "Soup Friday" every week and normally someone caves halfway through and gets food by Wednesday from here too. I've never been so, unbelievably heartbroken as when I found out I have intolerance to garlic and onion, so I've recently been settling for sniffing other people's food and dying on the inside.

The chef particularly focuses on using high quality produce so you don't get those gross, overcooked bits of beef or chicken in your pho, and he ensures that he cooks with as little oil as possible (unless you're getting spring rolls, then they're crunchy and delicious!)

If you want amazing food at cheap prices, authentic, delicious Vietnamese food that isn't oily or gluggy and a big smile on the face of the lovely chef every-time you walk through the door, then Genesis Vietnamese is the place for you. Cannot recommend this place highly enough!

(P.s. the Beef Pho is basically magic. Hangovers, colds, any kind of feeling unwell, grab a bowl and get in bed (or find somewhere to hide under a desk) and it's better than any panadol! Also the Salt and Pepper Tofu is basically crack)

Nice find for lunch, they don't open on Mondays but they have really great fresh Pho with good crispy chicken or pork. Simple menu but done well and if you want to eat healthy it's a great lunch under $10.

Love it. Love this cute little place - great prices and decent Vietnamese food. Especially love their chicken pho, silky rice noodles in a light chicken broth which is just perfect for rainy days or when you're feeling sick.

It has gone downhill. I used to love getting takeaway from here but it has dropped the ball.

The price has not gone up much but portions smaller.
Closes early whenever they feel like it so you just do not know
Eftpos minimum is $30... $30! and they won't budge on it so you end up buying a drink

dissappinting. I'm back to Pho Sam
