Review Cafe Si Zac - Epping

Looking for a little cafe Discovery in Epping...? Then I would recommend this gem. Cafe Si Zac provides an all day menu and your usual variety of coffees. The coffee is smooth to drink and great to taste. I had the veggie sandwich which consisted of eggplant, halloumi, tomatoes, mashed avo and rocket, all encased between two nicely toasted slices of sourdough bread. Although a little oily due to the eggplant, the flavours and the seasoning was spot on. On top of the great coffee and great quality food, customers are greeted by welcoming, friendly staff and uplifted by light jazz tunes to finish off the easy going atmosphere.

We just dropped in here after a doctor’s appointment. I gave 3 as the food was alright but the service was funny. Probably the staff are underpaid, they hardly smiled and were not excited at all. I wanted to order the special and asked if it comes with chicken, the guy had to go inside kitchen to ask that 🙄 I saw later it was written on the black board in front of the cafe and was quite surprising he didn’t know it. And funniest part was my husband ordered the dish with chicken n eggs by showing him a picture of it from reviews for the cafe. He ended up getting cooked chicken shaving which is cold and not grilled like in the picture we showed. The same guy served the food, was like we stopped doing the grilled chicken...lol why couldn’t you tell it when we ordered and showed the picture 😅 but he made no fuss took it back and brought the chicken grilled in few minutes.

Moved to north Epping a few months ago and have enjoyed most visits to sizac. It would be great if they were just a little warmer and friendlier and took the time to get to know their local customers.

This used to be my favourite place for a quick coffee and bacon/egg run. But I have noticed the quality of their bacon and egg sandwich isn't the same as before. I really hope they can lift their games so I can give them back five stars! :) Update Feb 22: Brekkie roll is so much better and that coffee is really good!

Liked the decor but staff seemed aloof to me and friendly to others. Steak sandwich and fish burgers were okay but the chicken wrap ($7ish) was... well, the picture speaks for itself.

I often come here for brunch with my family and girlfriend. The milkshakes are great and the food is always spot on. They also play some pretty funky music and sell art. Great staff and service will always keep me coming back.

Yummy food, good coffee. Great community meeting place.
