I was looking for a place in epping for dinner and the options were limited. Came across this place and decided to give it a go... and what a find it was!! The food was delicious!!! We had calabrese gnocchi, lamb pizza and penne carbonara. Everything was perfect! Can't wait to come back and try a few other options on the menu!

This is a great place to come and enjoy just a nice quiet night out at a local restaurant. The food is amazing here in large quantities always come back here for a good feed but you need to book in advance because it gets quite busy
Decided to try a local place based on score. We were visiting the area and didn't want to drive home.
Looked impressive from the road. Good food and very welcoming staff. Serves we're huge but definitely good quality. Would visit again if I'm Epping.
Dinner, dessert and coffee @thesecretcafe in Epping was impressive. Large meals reasonably priced and presentable. Our favourite Nutella and strawberry pizza for dessert was a sharing dish, fulfilling and scrumptious. Def recommend this hidden treasure, cozy and enjoyable for a catch up amongst friends. 🍓🍕

Been here years ago with older owners, but the new look works. The interior at first seems to dark but it's perfect. Sets a relaxed & moody setting.
The meals are your standard local restaurant staples but the food is incredible. High quality food! Don't order entree, because the meals are huge. Depends how you view it, most people don't eat all of their meals, it can be seen as wasteful but many said 'you sure get your money's worth'. The prices are the same as standards - I've heard lots of locals buzzing about this place.

Love this place. What a great local restaurant for Epping! Must try would be the gnocchi, so fresh - just like nonnas..my husband can't go past the surf and turf, he can't find a better quality serving anywhere & trust me he's tried.
Staff have been consistently friendly and helpful (even when we forgot to book & they're flat out).
Very nice pizza but the dough is too thick for me (although it is fresh and tasty). If they had a thinner base option I would rate it much higher. Ingredients are all delicious. Have only tried the pizza here a few times.
Its the best restaurants i have been to in the northern suburbs • Came here to celebrate my birthday with my family and friends. Everyone had the best food experience. I would like to recommend this place to everyone who live in area and is a food lover should come down and have the best experience of delicious food. 👌
My family and I come here quite often. Food is good, staff is great and the shop is comfortable and quit romantic. The weekend is defiantly the best time to come in regards to food. Service is usually quick and coffee is good. Would suggest the veal parmigiana and the pumpkin pizza. Pricing is reasonable for the portion size.
Amazing food! Service was also up to scratch had a very lovely atmosphere in the restaurant. We will definitely be back to try more items on the menu!

The only real thing i didn't like was the place (inside) was pretty dimly lit, making it a bit hard to see who you were talking to.
This place has the best mushroom sauce I have ever tasted.
The chicken snitzel is my favourite for main and the salt and pepper calamari is a great starter.
The only let down is that it gets really stuffy in the restaurant.
Great food, great service, great everything. I am a frequent customer and can always count on a great meal when I go there. They are usually booked out way in advance though so you usually have to call the week before to make a reservation.
Service is always average you need to hail down a waitress. Lucky for them the food is good and location is convenient would recommend hiring ex mcdonalds staff
The Nutella pizza here is amazing. I remember coming here, after recently looking at a friends, instagram post. As other comments suggests through, the service to customers does need a bit more improvement. Other than that, keep on doing a good job :)
This place never seems to disappoint! Great service and the food, delicious! The sweet chili prawns with rice and seasonal veggies always hit the spot. The lamb pizza is oh so amazing! Give this wonderful establishment a try, you won't be disappointed
Decided to try this place out after reading great reviews. I was definitely not disappointed, the staff were attentive and very friendly. I was expecting it to be a little cheaper, but considering the serving size and taste, it was definitely worth it. The carbonara was rich and not too overwhelming, the pizza was definitely worth it, they didn't cheap out on any of the ingredients and there was plenty of rich stringy cheese. The atmosphere was nice and relaxed inside, it's definitely a hidden gem in Epping and I would definitely go again.

Searched high and low in epping for a nice place to dine and obviously the choices are somewhat restricted unless you have a fondness for the food court or TGI's (a sentiment I personally don't share although they, to their credit, do an amazing JD glazed burger as reported by some very full friends of mine) In any case this appeared randomly, I gave it the cursory once-over and decided it was both interesting enough and a convenient midway between my lunch cohorts and I.
Went there for lunch on a Thursday afternoon to find a quaint, well lit establishment attended by the 2 front end staff and a contingent of Italian chefs. Ordered the barramundi fillet with veg and lemon butter and the others got entree sized pumpkin risotto and marina pasta. Midday they don't reply discriminate sizing for either as evidenced by the large portions that both meals arrived in (promptly, speedy service) my fish arrived mins later, a generously sized piece of grilled fish stop Some well roasted potato, pumpkin and zucchini as well as some mash pot and rocket salad. All delicious! Well portioned and seasoned. Seafood was well cooked and staff were very friendly, and more than happy to provide a travel box for garlic bread since one diner drastically underestimated the Italian chefs penchant for serving big meals. All in all a positive experience. Would recommend to anyone. Thanks girls and guys
Tried this restaurant on Friday night and all I can say is amazing! The food was fantastic. Great quality, flavours and variety. The wait staff were attentive despite being busy. The atmosphere was a bit loud but otherwise no complaints.
Home. Everybody loves a home cooked meal and most times when the family and I venture out for a feed instead we leave unsatisfied and let me be honest I make a quick maccas stop. Ever since my beautiful wife's sister suggested the secret restaurant 2 months ago I struggle to justify eating anywhere else. It boasts such a breathtaking theme end to end accompanied with dimmed lighting and a candle on every table. The floor staff are always cheerful and going above and beyond for you. The chefs have never once missed a beat with the food being ready very quickly and and served so beautifully with so much flavour. Its a family owned business and you can tell because when we walk through the front doors we know we have come home.
Tonight was the first time I attended the restaurant and can I say wow! I had the steak and pizza for entrée and it was to die for!!!! Well done The Secret, I will definitely be back for round two! P.s the staff are just gorgeous, very nice guys

The secret wow this is not a secret anymore was there last night and what can I say wow the food the staff and the atmosphere was excellent I ordered the rib eye and my other half had the calamari and chips ten out of ten will be calling in again great venue guys :)
We were first introduced to this restaurant almost two years ago at a dinner with some friends, and have been coming back ever since! The ambience is just lovely and welcoming. There have been a few occasions where we have come in as a larger group, and on each occasion the staff have been very polite and attentive, even going out of their way to help suggest meals to some of our friends who have dietary requirements. This had always been a challenge at previous places. The food has been beautiful on every occasion, and is always well presented. The menu has something for everybody, and the desserts are so yum!! My daughter can never go past the death by chocolate cake. Will definitely be back, and continue to recommend it to friends!
The food and atmosphere here is lovely, however the service leaves a bit to be desired. The only reason I keep coming back is because they make a great parma and it's a central location to meet with friends. The service really needs some improvement to make it a more enjoyable experience.
Found staff and food to be wonderful!. Hubby, bubs and I have dined here quite a few times and never had a problem with anything. The staff have always been friendly and the food always delicious. We find the meal sizes to be large and prices very reasonable.
The food was so yummy we are going to re-book we got there at 5.30 and sat there till quiet late, the atmosphere was great, chocolate ripple desert was to die for and they even created us a special cocktail. The pastas were delicious and we couldn't fault the service
Decent. I went here for my mums birthday dinner. It was very very busy but the food me and my family orders was overall quite nice. I had the lamb salad which I enjoyed. I will go back here again if im in the area.

Went for a mid-week catch with friends in the area to this lovely place the cafe is really nicely plenty of ambiance it was packed full with people. Most importantly though the staff were really nice and friendly and the food was delicious very impressed. The price was reasonable for the portion size you get. Would definitely recommend and gladly go again.

Great value for money. This Italian little resturant has an amazing food selection and great ambience. It is a great place to dine locally during the week and the food arrives quick and fresh. Highly recommended.
Most Favourite Restaurant. This is my most favourite restaurant, every time I dine here i leave satisfied, welcoming & friendly staff, romantic candelit ambience, good fresh quality food that we enjoy immensely, my husband's favourite is the 400gm rib-eye, it literally melts in his mouth, my favourite is the grilled chicken breast fillet (chicken fungi) absolutely delicious!! They have always got an extensive range of desserts, you must try their home made sticky date pudding, yum!! My husband enjoys a peroni or two, one lemon lime & bitters is enough for me, they're huge!!!
Its so good having such a gem close to home, the only fault is the restaurant is too small, hence why we have to book two weeks in advance to get in, definately recommend this restaurant to any one who enjoys and appreciates good italian food.

The atmosphere is nice at the Secret and the food is nice too, not outstanding but it is definitely nice. The fishermans basket could easily be shared, the portion is HUGE! I don't recommend the risottos though, very substandard. Some of the staff are quite junior so don't expect anything too sophisticated. Good for quick, local food.

Service is good. Went there for our anniversary. Looked like the staff were in training. Not experienced. Dissapointed with the calamari starter. There was 70% Salad leaves n 30% entree. Steak and pasta was delicious and large portions. Came out hot and fresh. The drinks and dessert are overpriced, so avoided.
