Fresh ingredients and generous serve. Love the beef photo. A bit of an odd looking venue but the food doesn't disappoint at all.
Order from here a few times now and have never been disappointed. Lots of competition in the nearby area, but this place far surpasses anything else I’ve tried. Reasonably priced which is also a 👍🏼. Chicken with vegetables and ginger is very tasty, as are the pork spring rolls. Highly recommend.
Did lunch here with a couple of work mates as we wanted some Vietnamese and this place came recommended. Its got a nice interior and decent ambience and the food we ordered was really nice. Was a bit understaffed at the time though I felt. But the service was quite pleasant and prompt nevertheless. I would definitely recommend this place.
Our local favourite Vietnamese restaurant. Have been coming here for years now and the food is never disappointing. Always tasty and fresh. As they are gaining popularity in recent times, they are getting busier, and occasionally service when they’re at capacity is slow. But any other time, the service is wonderful, fast & very friendly.
Simple and amazing! Authentic food in generous portions! The soft shell crab was perfectly fried and seasoned, with lots of meat. And the Char Kway Teow was fragrant and delicious. Will 100% be back.
Very clean, very spacious with lovely/interesting decor. Took quite a while to be served, but it was full (Friday night at 7pm aka peak hour) and they were very busy, so I understand. Staff were friendly, polite and patient. Menu had all the classics including Chinese, Vietnamese and Indonesian cuisine. All good and drinks were reasonably priced and serving sizes are very generous! Ordered the chicken spring rolls for entree and a Nasi Goreng for my main meal, enjoyed both!
Service here is always friendly, the ladies are so lovey and just want you to feel at home. I love coming here when I just want some delicious Vietnamese food. I am surprised they are not busier!

Tonight was my second visit to GB and it was all round a great experience!! Really was craving soup so ordered the wonton and bbq pork noodle soup with flat rice noodles and some steamed dimmies as take away and my food was ready in 10 minutes! Really well priced for how good each option was, honestly it was so delicious! The broth of the soup is very clear, and veryy tasty. Tender veg, pork and dumplings. The dim sims are reminiscent of Royal Chopsticks across the road at the Woolies complex, sans water chestnuts however. Sooo good!! Came with a sticky soy (not kecap manis) complimented the dimmies so well! The service was that wonderful that they even let me off paying minimum $25 for using eftpos!! Really great customer service and food here, you can’t beat the price for the value and locality. Will definitely be back!!
We had the works tonight.We had the pho soup,duck with plum sauce,pork de boned ribs with Peking sauce and rice paper rolls,accompanied with beef satay noodles and special fried rice.

Try this place for yourself. Ok its not 5 star class but its all you need for clean, good value tasty food thats served quick in a very friendly atmosphere.
Also has a wide ranging menu- must say the hostess/owner is friendly and does a great job.
Get the PHO or the chili lemongrass chicken. Great for a casual night out as a couple or family.
Fantastic local Vietnamese with good prices to match. They do very good traditional Vietnamese dishes and the staff are really friendly. The best takeaway Beef pho I have had to date on the Northside. Their hot beef broth was clear & you could taste it has simmered for hours with an abundance of fresh Asian herbs and rare tender beef & beef balls. The rice noodles were cooked perfectly & not soggy once you added in the broth. Their pork spring rolls are excellent & authentic , little crispy parcels of pork mince perfectly matched with fresh lettuce & Vietnamese mint. Excellent value & quality.

We did have a lot of food for a group of 12 people with a round table in front section. It was busy today but everyone seems to be happy to wait for another course after the entree which are quails, spring rolls, the skewers and dim sims
The plum duck and the barramundi are absolutely awesome, everyone was so happy to finish the whole fish for 10 minutes after the waiter bring it out with some chili on top. Also we had Mongolian beef, chicken with chili and lemongrass, calamari with salt and pepper, fried rice with fish recommended by the funny waiter. The corkage is reasonable, we had 12 wime glasses but they just charge us 4 corkage with 10$.

Great food, poor service especially on a busy Saturday night due to low staffing levels. Reasonably priced and extensive menu selection. We have already been there twice and will continue to go there as long as the quality of food is good.
Nearly tried everywhere on Keilor Rd and had overlooked this place given it is a bit further down and what a shame that is. Great restaurant, big, clean and wonderful friendly service. We started with prawn dumplings, homemade dim sims and mixed spring rolls enjoyed them all. We then got lemon chicken which is a favourite of our youngest and it was good, salt and pepper calamari was one of the nicest we have had and then fried silken tofu with prawn and egg which was different to what we expected but really enjoyed it. It was so reasonably priced that we will be back to try some other dishes on their very extensive menu.
Dropped in after some shopping at DFO, I ordered Mongolian chicken with rice. It was fresh and tasty. I would come back if i was in the area. The restaurant is new and clean. Staff were good and listened well, very unlike the service you might receive in footscray.
Best Pho you can get around town! We usually get chicken which is made from real broth.

Plenty of space, even on busy nights - ambience is very casual, and feels somewhat like an open hall but the food and service makes up for it.

Noisy. Bustling. Busy. Overworked but happy staff. Good Vietnamese. Great for families. Just like an Italian wedding sala. Will take the family next time.
Can't go wrong with a visit (or several) to this place.. Been here many times with family and friends. Many have returned from quite a distance to resample the lovely food and service here. We have never been disappointed with anything that we have ordered, the customer service is excellent and the prices are very reasonable.
We love this Restaurant!. Best Pho I've had! The menu is plentiful so there's something for everyone! I've introduced my whole family and recommend it to everyone I know! Safe to say we are regulars here!

The best vietnamese food in this area!. I come every week for lunch with a mate - there aren't many vietnamese restaurants on keilor road where I work. (The other vietnamese restaurant towards Hoffmans road (who shall remain nameless) is pretty terrible.)
While I've not had dinner at Green Bamboo, can highly recommend all the *vietnamese* dishes on the lunch menu. Please note - many people/urbanspoon reviewers use the term "Chinese food" or "Chinese restaurant" for all southeast asian/asian cuisine, which is just plain wrong. You might as well lump all English, French, German, American, Aussie "cuisine" under the term "Western food", and you wouldn't order French onion soup from a southern steakhouse would you? *sigh*
Anyway that's my usual rant out of the way - for lunch recommendations at Green Bamboo I can't speak highly enough of the combination vietnamese broken rice, as well as the grilled pork vermicelli. The pork here is amazing, just enough slightly burnt crispyness to go with a taste of fat and amazing tender meat. Plus a whole lot of fresh ingredients make lunch here an amazing, (almost!) healthy treat!
For other recommendations, remember you're in a VIETNAMESE restaurant -NOT a "Chinese" restaurant. Ask Phuong or Man for vietnamese dish recommendations. They also do other cuisine, but since they specialise in vietnamese and do it amazingly well, why on earth would you order anything else? Great service, amazing food, entirely reasonable pricing - I'll be back every week!
First visit tonight and was very happy indeed.
Hubby had chicken & sweet corn soup & sesame prawn toast, I had the chicken spring rolls- there must have been around 8 on my plate which was a bigger portion than expected.
We both opted for the mild oyster sauce with chicken - one with cashews, the other garlic and a small rice.
Food was delicious and service was super with happy smiling staff. An apology was given for the main course as we sat a while, but we were happy and didn't feel there was a delay or need for an apology.
Will definitely be back at some point.

Good local chinese. After our fav local Chinese was booked out we chanced Green Bamboo & was pleasantly surprised. Everything we ordered was great and very reasonably priced. We will be back.
Great value, slightly daggy interior.. We popped in for a quick local meal and we're very pleasantly surprised by the excellent service. My wife dropped a chopstick and before she could pick it up, the waitress was there with a new set. The food was plentiful, and varied slightly in quality between our two mains. The chili beef was excellent, really punchy with very tender meat. The lemon chicken was in a nice sauce, but the batter was reminiscent of a fish shop...not the crispy KFC style of Mee Wah for sure. We would definitely visit again, although it's probably more of a mid-weeker rather than a special event place ... The decor is a bit sparse, and the room is very large.

Yummy!. Went last night for the first time and was very pleased with the food and excellent service. I would recommend the $24 banquet, more than enough. I will definitely be going back to try the flounder. It looked amazing.
